'The Rift is located around the southeastern corner of Skyrim and borders Morrowind to the east and Cyrodiil to the south. The surrounding holds are Eastmarch to the north, Whiterun to the northwest and Falkreath to the west. Much of the Rift is composed of lush, autumn-colored valleys and rivers, surrounded by mountains to the south, east, and northeast. The Rift itself is located atop an immense plateau that clearly separates it from Eastmarch, and the western mountain range south of Throat of the World goes along its border with Falkreath, making it one of the most isolated holds in Skyrim, even more so perhaps than Winterhold and The Reach. As a result, its main stronghold, Fort Greenwall, lies just north of Riften, between it and Shor's Stone further north of that.' - Fandom

It's crazy that it's been over 10 years and I'm still drawn to this game's music.
There’s just something about this game that gives me a feeling no other game does. It encapsulates all of my imagination and makes me feel I’m in a dream, the best dream ever.
They spent a lot of time with the atmosphere and details of the world. Feels lived in. It’s very special indeed!

Oblivion does that same feeling for me. I can listen to that soundtrack and be teleported back in time to summer 2006. Great memories :') Love how games give us that ability to connect with those kind of feelings, memories or vibes.

This is a masterpiece. Extremely nostalgic. I occasionally play Skyrim in VR. The first time I walked through that incredibly immersive world and this music came on, I stopped and just looked around. Lost in memories; nearly moved to tears. It somehow brought back a sense of mystery and wonder, from when the game was new. If only for a moment...

Idk man Wisconsin is pretty close to skyrim. The most brutal parts of all seasons and the equivalent of every creatue in the game. Especially frost trolls.

I just started a new playthrough the other day, was walking through the Rift and taking in all of its autumnal majesty a d thought to myself "man, I'd live to just live in Tamriel as a random joe".
Then I was immediately double teamed by cave bears for just existing and that thought became "On second thought let's not go to Tamriel, it is a silly place"
LOL! Yeah, Skyrim is gorgeous... but it can be unrelenting.

This music brings me back to the times when the only thing keeping me not giving up on life was Skyrim. It has become a sacred place for me. A place of pilgrimage that I visit sometimes and cry. This music is healing. I don't even know how to fully describe the whole range of emotions that I have inside me when listening to this - a mixture of bliss, tears, joy, nostalgia, sorrow and a feeling of long lost home that I never visited, yet know like the very fingers on my hands.

Far horizons
The bird songs probably shouldn't be there because they tend to sing the most during the spring and summer. During the autumn you almost don't hear any birds sing (in Sweden anyway).
