I feel like they could have had the low reeds/brass place the bass and give it the melody around the room. Then when it came to the low brass they could have had the reeds play the bass then vice versa

Could use a more powerful low brass and low reeds. Also, the timbre is too blue; it should really more of a dark orange. The trumpets should spend two- three hours in front of a tuner. I will make a pros and cons chart and report back asap

Stone Cold yeah, that describes it perfectly, there’s not much depth until the trumpet solo and even then there’s still not much going on and not a lot of individual movement. It feels like the arranger used the band like a piano rather the separate instruments that they are.
