The low brass part is fire. I play trombone currently a freshmen and playing this song in 8 th grade brings me back so much memories.

@@LilliAnnBrannon For me and our other trombone player, it's a bit difficult to grab the plunger head in time and play the parts leading up to that.
Im a tromboner and yeah i played this last month and i already miss it in a sense. Still got new music to lookover for camp fest.;)

I used to play the trumpet in my 8th grade band in middle school. We played Aladdin. Brings me back to memories of playing this song with my trumpet. Gosh, I miss playing the trumpet so much. 😢

My teacher always leans into that 3rd note in the bass line of the first bit every time she's conducting the class and it's great because you can just tell how much she loves her job
This is the song we get to play in two weeks for our last concert of the year and it's my last concert with my director, I'm so excited but sad 😭

that’s the thing that sucks cause the trumpets at my school put 0 effort into playing so it sounds bad …
i play the first trumpet in this piece, and the saddest fact is that im the only first trumpet playing this piece. the amount of times i have to record, give up and record again....
My band teacher says to us trumpets to carry on the rest of the band. Our job is to make the clarinets sexy. 😅

That’s relatable xD but in almost-all seriousness, this is a level 3 piece, which is usually played by kids with a few years of experience, or groups that are slightly older. Idk what your director was like at the time, or how long you’ve been playing, but ye.. Ik this comment was awhile ago, but good luck and keep practicing :)

Wow I really appreciate the trombone love in a Whole New World. Played a more advanced Orchestral Aladin medley and we got some cool parts in the more lively section, but I'm a big fan of trombone balad melody and there's not enough of it.

i rmb the first time our band played this.. and gosh it was back in 2019- back then i still had strict seniors(i was in percussion section btw) and for almost every single song that we were given back then, i was forced to play the mallets. and like my seniors didnt allow me to write the notes on the score sheet that we were given, instead they forced me to sight read the score sheet. in which i couldnt do as i was not taught to sight read the score straight away like my seniors did. and my seniors were not happy with me and said i couldnt count like bro u asked me to sight read the whole god damn score without any annotations and then now ure gonna scold me saying i cant count?
but all is good its been a few years since they graduated and now im happy and i dont force my current juniors to go through the same pain i did back when i first entered the band. sorry if im ranting in the chats here :(
