- This is by far the EASIEST WAY to learn/ do barspins on a BMX bike. The hard part about doing a barspin is catching the bars, take the catch out of the barspin and it's as simple as doing a normal bunny hop. I breakdown the art of barspin like never before. iv have spent hundreds of hours doing pull up barspins and just throwing and catching the bars over the years. I can throw it and catch as fast as garret reynolds but it didnt stop me from breaking my ankle twice doing this trick. iv completely mastered the catch and throw years ago but still doesnt help me get the balls to do it for real but i think this tip from spencer is a game changer

Don't hate Bo, it works, try it. I learned pick up bars this way, I kept missing the catch but still rode away. Now I'm working on hop bars and intend to do them the same way (I can't throw them rn, I keep hitting my knee).

Physics are spot on, if you have a good balance point and decent center of gravity. This has honestly helped me a lot...iv steered clear from this trick for over 20 years...no longer do I have committment issues with such a sentimental banger. Genuine thanks Spencer

Hi there. I'm 35, the last time I had a BMX I was 14. I did races, at a very low level of course, in a very small club, in a very small town, in France (not the best place to love BMX I'll tell you that). I had to let it go because we were not rich and my father couldn't pay for the license, but I always wanted a BMX to get some fun again. Anyway, I'm getting old and I miss riding a BMX. A lot. I just had two months obsessed with the idea to get a new bike and feel the freedom I felt when I was this 12-14 years old boy on his bike.
So I just sold something I didn't use anymore, ordered a BMX today and will receive it next week probably. I'm so happy and I can't wait. But when I see this kind of videos I feel like a moron because I've never ride in street style (even if I want to) and I know I will fall of a lot of times trying very "simple" tricks.
I will try, again and again, to barspin. I don't feel confident I will probably hurt myself multiple times. But what the hell, I want to have fun and do the same tricks I can see every time on YT. I don't know how the fuck the wheel always comes back straight on the ground for you all. I just hope it will be the same for me !
Please dude this guy is joking. Don't be trying to land bar spins with no hands. Also, you don't have to do bars spins to have fun. Start practicing your bunny hops. Soon you'll be doing 180 hops and 360 hops. You can have a lot of fun just riding and doing stuff like that with variations. Build yourself a little 4 foot quarter pipe. Start catching airs. Start low get big. Fuck a bar spin. 😜

I dont know if this video is serious or not, but for me it worked awesome. I was trying to make barspin on my mtb and catch it and I ate the ground everytime. With this metod i landed barspin first try.

It's not gravity. A law in physics says that when a wheel is spun in a certain position, it likes to stay in that position. This is how a gyroscope works and how those motocross riders can do a tail whip and almost turn the bike completely around in the air. Spencer is not trying to hurt anybody, this does work. You want to do bar spins better, then stop making your belly so fat with the fuckin lemonade. Next, after you do your bunny hop, pinch the bike with your legs and take control of your bike. my problem is staying on the pedals, i can pullup bar with eyes closed. i can throw single double(even oppo doubles) triple pullbar's but when i hop (i can hop super high) and throw the bar's, i catch but i can't force my self to land while still on pedals/cranks.i always jump off last second it's a huge pain, also i throw with right but stand left foot forward :s, i throw the bars super quick + catch but just staying on the bike....

Jay-Eff Michaud put your seat up really high, pinch it with your legs, and bus driver when you throw them. (follow the bars with your hand) if you commit, you can learn them super quick. Also dont worry about catching them with your throwing hand at first, catch them with your non throwing hand and pull a foot off. Your bike will take a couple dings, oh well. hope this helps
