Some of the best tutorials ever! I'm 48 and just getting into bmx along with my son. You're a rad teacher Spencer and a great ambassador for the sport!. Thank You!
41 year old. Been haunting these videos for about a year or more. Finally just ordered my first BMX since I was like 10. Looking forward to goofing off all fall. Cheers!
I'm assuming that you have already rode a bike for a while but want to move on to bmx. Either way just make sure you spend some time just cruising and getting 100% comfortable on your bike, it will make learing so much easier.
Joseph Falco As said above ^^ Spencer has a video on tricks for beginners which helps develop bike control. Check it out! Search "Spencer Foresman Key to Learning". Wear a helmet and pads(definitely a helmet, try get shin/knee pads asap)and have fun!
Explained so well. I’m 42 and just got back into bmx so I could enjoy it with my son. My days of bmx were all about racing, not Street. This really helps. Right now I’m stuck on committing to the 180. Maybe I’m just to old, LOL
Fakie was like the hardest thing I tried to learn, thanks to watching this video over and over again I finally managed to pull it off 😅 big up man like Spencer 👍
Thoes are some good pointers, Capt Woodward. You should do more basic trick tutorials, I feel like most of us learn how to land them, but not how to do them correctly.
Rahziel420 he's also really good at showing those little things you can do before you can do the actual trick that keep it entertaining while learning bike control. instead of just failing over and over, you can work up to things
Dude your videos are top notch compared to most biking channels with over the top intro and clickbaity titles. I learn new stuff from all of your videos. Keep it up✌🏻
Thanks Spencer man. I appreciate all the time and effort you put into these video's. Going to try and teach an old dog new tricks, your tips are already helping. Cheers man
Okay, here is my short story: Back in 2009 my mom bought me a brand new BMX (Haro F2), entry level yeah. I didn't learn any tricks back then, except I learned the bunny hop. Now I'm 24 and in the last two weeks I took the BMX out on the road again and learned fakie in like 5 days but like 3-4 hours total practice. I can do like 3 meters or 10 feet. Now I'm practicing how to make the body turn out of fakie. *It's never too late for a BMX!*
loving these videos. Stuff that's achievable for the beginners of the beginners, whilst constantly progressing and preparing you for harder stages in the future
Thanks for making this video man! fakies always felt weird to me. I got a freecoaster as my first bike like 5 months ago and I just went straight for 3s because my rollouts always felt wierd. But that outro was fire AF!!! I started my channel recently and honestly you were a huge inspiration. Thanks mane!!
coming back from spinal chord injury 2014 downhill longboard racing.... so yeah, im re learning bmx fakies again... i feel so small... but im sure itll take a few more tries than i think... 1/2 finished with 8x24 halfpipe... - 12ft wide was the norm back in the 80's - but i have a 3ft drop off this side of the ramp = MOAB face plant... so fakiies are on my list- till i get more plywood next week !!!!! brakes would be nice too....nahhh !!!!!!!
I just learned them before this vid came out at first I just cranked as fast as I could backwards but I realized it's easier to crank back slower so gauge how fast you're going and crank backwards just a tad faster than that
fakies are actually slaying me right now. I'm thinking my balance is just off. I've had a couple of close ones with the turn on the roll back, but CHRIST
I am very tall and I hunch a little on my bike. I have a problem with ending up to close to my bars when doing fakies, so pulling bars becomes impossible. I can do the rollback and stop with pedalpressure, but my pivots suck
I can 180 but broke my thumb on the 4th of July, so I’ve been practicing fakie and turn around but I just found I roll out the wrong way. Been practicing for awhile. I can get it almost everytime with breaks 😂
Whenever I do a fakie I like to apply pedal pressure with my right foot but I like to ride with my left foot forward and I don't know witch way I should turn out.
I learned fakies with a friend holding my cross bar it was awhile ago in the winter so I pressed off a wall and my friend helped me down a hall way in my house lol
im having difficulties rolling out, everytime i fakie i can manage to balance the bike but i can’t pull the bars and completely turn to the opposite direction. need help!!
Damn Spencer, I'm trying to "lock up and chill out" but its not working yet. Maybe I can't ride straight, or maybe I'm not locking up because I'm chilling out for sure.
Thanks for the tips man I'm gonna give it a go.. I'm a new rider only been riding for a few months now..I have a question am I too old to start riding bmx? Would like some feedback thanks again Spencer

1:32 got me laughing xD I remember when I used to do that. :v
Would buying a mafia frame help me fakie?? Or are they only good for being kites
Liam Swepstone they are good for being kites
They are cheap and light so they can spin around really quick 👍
I am 12 i learnt the fakie on a 28 pound bike i fint it easier on i heavier bike beacause the tire is easyeu to slide
nah aslong as its a decent bike
Cory Puppy Arms Berglar appreciates the lesson :D

Ordered some stickers a day or two ago, kinda feel bad though. The shipping seems too cheap, to me, to get them all the way to NZ. Cheers Spencer 🤙
Spencer - Thanks for the How To's, man! Helps a lot
i feel accomplished because spencer foresman has done a how to on a trick i already know how to do.
😂

JustinDowellBMX i

Enyi Kelly It's actually probably easier to learn on a cassette. Pedaling back helps you keep balance, and the pedal pressure helps you roll out.
Very Great Tutorial Spencer. You put a lot of tips and tricks in here that I don't see anywhere else Awesome video.
Appreciate the how to's, fakies are the first thing I'm working on when the doctor gives me the ok to get back on my bike
very useful, so many good tips! literally the best fakie how to ive found
I skateboard but I have a bmx and Surprisingly I learned this very fast
Your how-to's are legit.
coming back from spinal chord injury 2014 downhill longboard racing.... so yeah, im re learning bmx fakies again... i feel so small... but im sure itll take a few more tries than i think...
OK so my son is struggling with this, I just watched this, I'm a 47 yr old mum......its that good even I understand it 😂
so now I can help my son
I just learned them before this vid came out at first I just cranked as fast as I could backwards but I realized it's easier to crank back slower so gauge how fast you're going and crank backwards just a tad faster than that
Perfect timing.... I was just wondering on my fakies as well... thank u
I pretty much do what you are saying but haven't nailed the quack sound yet.
This is great. Defo gonna be using this next time I'm practicing fakies
Bought a bmx because of u att 33 of age. Looks damn fun even to just roll in fakie.
0:06 what was that meh noise

best tips on fakie i've seen
best fakie video ever
Great video. No one else mentions the head turn. Certainly would need the helmet when you fall down.
Bob Ross of bmx
Great(how to) video Spencer, you are the best man!
That was the sickest outro ever. How many takes was that? First T?
You didn't mention it, but I notice you do a little hop right after you hit the top of the ramp before it starts to roll back.
I really like all that you doing and watch every video!) i now that it will be funny anyway!)) BUT i think that your "how to" is super helpful!
fakies are actually slaying me right now. I'm thinking my balance is just off. I've had a couple of close ones with the turn on the roll back, but CHRIST
More how to's please Spencer, that was good! 👍
I am very tall and I hunch a little on my bike. I have a problem with ending up to close to my bars when doing fakies, so pulling bars becomes impossible. I can do the rollback and stop with pedalpressure, but my pivots suck
I’m just learning this. I can’t wait to try some of these tips!
Should do a how to 5 cab
Tyler The Uncreator nah, how to 7 cab to fakie manual to full cab bar
I don’t know if it’s good but I’m right foot forward but whenever I roll out of a fakie I press down with my left foot instead of my right
Dude! Applying pedal pressure was the tip! Today I got it about 5 times!
Only spencer could make a 14 minute on how to fakie
I can 180 but broke my thumb on the 4th of July, so I’ve been practicing fakie and turn around but I just found I roll out the wrong way. Been practicing for awhile. I can get it almost everytime with breaks 😂
I learned to roll back a lot today and I came here to learn to get out of it
im right foot forward and spin to the right and cant cab out should i be trying to back pedal and roll out on my left foot foward
the duck sounds are unique and fun
Thanks spencer really helped me learn fakie
Whenever I do a fakie I like to apply pedal pressure with my right foot but I like to ride with my left foot forward and I don't know witch way I should turn out.
If I cold I subt twice to you, best RUclipsr!
I like watching Raymond learn, Because he’s goofy.
Great vid, if you dont have a ramp to use for starting to roll backwards. What do you recommend? A wall or some kind of slope?
I learned fakies with a friend holding my cross bar it was awhile ago in the winter so I pressed off a wall and my friend helped me down a hall way in my house lol
Great video! Appreciate your teaching!
Pedal resistance. Totally worked 🤗
I can do the fakie to roll forward on 5:33 but I can't roll out... gotta try those tips you give! thanks man
I can fakie pretty well but this still helped loads cheers boi
I need help with my half cabs.
My freecoaster blew out now im back to cassette but its hard to do anything again. Any tips ?
Thank you! That helped me so much with my fakie
im having difficulties rolling out, everytime i fakie i can manage to balance the bike but i can’t pull the bars and completely turn to the opposite direction. need help!!
What grips do you use
it helps my fakie A LOT!!
Damn Spencer, I'm trying to "lock up and chill out" but its not working yet. Maybe I can't ride straight, or maybe I'm not locking up because I'm chilling out for sure.
Wow I love the park that would be so cool
im so shit it ain't funny BUT your video on tuning the wheel worked a treat
I've fully committed. Bought my first bike, homie tried to sell me a free coaster and i told him "nah fam"
best of luck to everyone else. Lez do dis.
Love it. I built a small ramp to practice these
Awesome video!!

I liked the video spencer thanks I will have to try that its hard at first then its easy to do
I love ur videos this how to helped me tons
I ride right foot forward but i half cab to the right which is awkward because that's my oppo spin
Does anyone else watch how too on a trick you have on lock just so u can watch some bmx content
I watched over 500 tutorials on bunny hops
Thank you my fakies will be thankful
How to 180 with cheat codes next please!
This helped a lot.
Ellinas
I saw Anthony Panza doing a fakie without pedaling backward, how does he do that?
Free coaster
Free coaster is way harder. Back pedaling helps you balance.

Thanks for the tips man I'm gonna give it a go.. I'm a new rider only been riding for a few months now..I have a question am I too old to start riding bmx? Would like some feedback thanks again Spencer
