I just wished that pokemon took a more open world approach where you can be anything like gym leaders or professor not just follow a single story, pokemon now is just the same no matter which game for me it's still the same over and over

There was a game similar to this bit not exactly.
It was called Pokemon Omega - which got shut down by The Pokemon Company which is just Nintendo, GameFreak and Creatures bassically.
Don't get this confused with Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire! The game was *just* called Pokemon Omega and it was shut down in roughly 2014-ish.
There wasn't many variations but I believe you had the option to become a "gym leader" but I think it was more of a place holder NPC that used your stuff.
It was so long ago that I dont exclusively remeber how to do it but I think it was either if you gained enough reputation in game you got the opportunity to? It may have also been a "Hey, monetarily backing this game gives you the ability to start a gym!"
But I remeber that there were people who became pokemon breeders essentially. Some were scammers, some weren't. People offered "training services" which you'd trade to someone who had access to higher level Gym Leaders and they'd train your mons.
Gym Leaders also had several teams for every single "stage" of the game too! You could tackle them in any order, they adapted to your level and you could infinitely farm the gyms for xp and money.

@@RoyRagnar what I'm talking about is that I wish the pokemon franchise didn't just add new way to navigate in the game but added new roles and choices that really affects the story and ending of the game
The only way I see that happening is in a spin off game
there is a brazilian youtuber called rayzikrom copying your videos, he posted a video on his channel recently that copied everything, even the jokes

yeah I tried to look up some lists and they were very clearly AI generated websites with every rom hack having the generic description of "explore an undiscovered region and use pokeballs to capture monsters that can be used for battle but also companionship and to further your goal of exploration and friendship. In this rom hack, you can also catch the monsters with devices known as pokeballs and train the monster to fight in battle for you. That's why this rom hack is recommended on this list." like what???

POKEMON Re Verse is full of bugs, there is a loop in veridian forest where we keep returning to the exact place we initially were needs a lot of bug fixes

Mirage of Tales has a lot of potential, but it's incomplete. I LOVE the character creator. I kinda got stuck doing the ranger questline. I couldn't find the third berry anywhere, and I couldn't go anywhere else. The only other route seemed to be the media office, but the guard wouldn't let me pass because I wasn't media staff? I was trying to find some sort of guide or answers on what I was missing when I found out it was incomplete.
Re:Verse is extremely buggy and is a mess. After crashing nine times trying to get out of Pallet Town to go to Viridian, a teamrocket grunt is blocking the passageway to Viridian? And there's nothing you can do to get past him.
Idk if its spoiler or not about mirage of tales, but i also had several problems wondering what's the aproach the game wants me to do to advance, anyway the berry for awakening is only found in the farm of the old man or gym leader's dad, you can always enter there, but I believe u have to wait or smth for the berry to grow
I'm glad someone said it cause I should've read the comments before jumping into mirage of tales thinking it was fully playable, there's another youtuber that gets really far but I'm always stuck on the old guy on every route trying to get the berries
Mirage of Tales looks like its a dead game. Most of the devs left after the first release. What a shame.

pokemon rocket edition is by far the best hack i have ever played. if someone hasnt already dont try anything else before that. the story, the idea you are in rocket team and every little detail in the game is so smart. rocket edition NOT rocket science. 2 different hacks. from this video i think i will try fire ash. keeps me nostalgic from the 1st generation we all loved and seems you do everything you truly san in anime.

by the time i got to 8th gym in radical red i was sad, it was an endless procession of bizarre new pokemon and getting violently gotcha'd by every trainer and the frieza resurrection mewtwo psychic terrain magic bounce blah blah ....what am I even looking for
I think its better to have a list of roms where you can atleast play the full main story, than say tales of mirage where you cant even face a gym leader yet. There's literally no point in playing yet.

How does Fire Ash stack up to Ash Gray?
For one- ash grey is an actual rom hack that can be played on an emulator. Fire ash is not. It's an RPG maker project that can only be played on PC. Way too many poketubers fail to explain that distinction.
On the other hand- fire ash covers much more of ashs story.

It's really not hard once you know what you're doing, the elite four isn't fun if you're doing a challenge but the rest of the games pretty easy

Rom hacks have to be patched yourself. It's illegal to distribute and the rom hack communities + reddit will not let you post links to patched roms. It's pretty straight forward to patch yourself with a google/youtube tutorial. Most of these Fire Red rom hacks require the "Squirrel" clean rom btw.

Ash gray is an actual rom hack tho. Fire ash can only be played on PC, not an emulator.

only emulator I've found only has 3 Rom hacks, all of which have bad reviews and just dont work. (although the mainline games do on said emulator)

many games hae this but gen 9 is harder to get into the gba or nds format but rad red has all of them
@@joncregger2944 The problem is that the makers of these hacks are obsessed with increasing the difficulty as well. However, I found an emerald hack with all pokemon (up to gen 3) available, AND the rest of the game is unchanged. I enjoyed it so much. But now that you mention gen 9, I'm getting a bit greedy. Imagine a game with all pokemon ever created, AND a national pokedex... I'm salivating.

Not technically. It's literally not a rom hack. Rom hacks are roms that have been hacked. Fire ash was made in rpgmaker.

Dark worship is a s**t. Worst game ever.
All the Pokemon games have same story which is becoming boring nowadays why they don't make a game including all the regions and all the opponents like Ash,Red and all it will be fun to defeat them in all the leagues
I would recommend trying out pokemmo, its an online mmo for pokemon games and one of its best feature is that you get to play regions of kanto, johto, hoenn, sinnoh and unova combined where you can travel from one region to another. And its not the only one feature, there are tons of many stuff in there which you probably would have wanted in the original games but couldn't get
Because an official game can't realistically have that much stuff in it, specifically cause of the strict deadlines Gamefreak gives the devs, and they certainly aren't about to back down from that any time soon.
