Great video Panda! I'm glad Octominer was finally able to reply to you ;). I was able to receive my X12 Ultra over the weekend as well and have a few tips for everyone. - The black buttons on the front of the server case actually serve a purpose: Power, Reset, Reset CMOS. You don't have to push the power button on the motherboard each time because the power cables can be unplugged at any time. The top power button turns on the motherboard power and can take about 60 seconds to boot up. - The USB pin cable does work on PCIe #1 and you're correct, you need to push down on it hard, it won't hurt it. - You don't need to supply power to the last PCIe 6 pin on the motherboard, which is near slot #12. You CAN if you want to but it's not needed which is why it didn't come with one. - Some of my slots weren't working and it's highly recommended that you add a CMOS battery, which I did. In the BIOS settings some of the PCIe slots were not set to Gen1, they were set to auto. This can clear up some issues if the rig isn't posting. - My 2 Sapphire cards do not work as of right now (Radeon Sapphire and Sapphire Nitro). The Octominer team will be sending me some updated BIOS files that I'll also share with Panda which might help support these two cards. For now I am mining on 10 GPUs and it's going just fine.
We will be launching the new website very soon and will be having a window of time where the minimum quantity will be removed. Chilly Community & Outreach Director Octominer

Hello. I trying to find information about the PciE slots... is it gen3? 16x? Reason I ask I have alot of 3060 v1 card, that I use developer driver + hdmi plug to get full hashrate. Thanks :)
these 6pin on board is only powering card from pci-e slots each pin (if its build from good quality terminal/wire) is capable to hold EASY 250W total, so 4x 6pin will be 1000W, if 3060 even draw 40W from pci-e slot then you need 12x 40W = 480W - 4 plugs are more than enough
My friend, the great Panda, how has the sound been on the Octominer? They look beautiful and easy to work with. Do the long cords come with it? Now I just have to find more GPUs so I can order the minimum of five per order.

Hi, I’m a new miner and would like to seek for your advice regarding to my rig kept power trip once I overclock my GPU. Currently I’m using NiceHash miner for Raven & ETH and I let it auto select between them and 90% of the time is mining Raven, however when I do some overclocking to both of my 2 MSI RTX 3060 LHR and 2 Galax RTX 3060ti LHR GPU with 1600w PSU, however when I have the hash rate of 22M/s for 3060 and 28M/a for 3060ti, the computer force itself to self reset for between 35 mins to 1 hour of running and when I lower down the GPU over locking to 20.5M/h for 3060 and 26.5 - 27M/h the computer seems running fine, however the power useable close to 680w. Therefore is there anything wrong to my setup or NiceHash do not allow us to perform too much overclocking and I’m still new in mining and not sure of how to use Hive Os which everyone is saying move to Hive Os is better. Let me know your thoughts and I hope to learn more from brother and sister who are much experience than me to make me a better miner too. P.S how you able to get so many GPU that I’m hunting like mad person and still not able to get more than 1 GPU at a single visit…
They look indeed very nice, but what's the pricing per unit? Tbh they feel more like a showpiece than actual work hardware. Mineboxes look way cheaper and they do the same thing.
@@TechManTY. That is not the problem, the problem is the price. Bulk buyers are usually big farms and they want the cheapest good solution. This is a very good solution, but I'm afraid it's just not as cheap as the MineBox. Maybe I'm wrong though, I have not asked Octominer what the price is and RPM hasn't responded too.
It looks like that cable you unplugged from the board is the front panel header not a usb header. So the front panel power button and led lights for power and activity.

Maybe I am mistaken but I don’t really understand the point of promoting a server case that less than 1% of all miners can afford because they only allow bulk orders. And the only way to get ahold of the company selling it is to have a large social media following to contact the owner of the company for you. Red Panda is getting a little out of touch with the reality of most miners at home.
I have the same I/O cable clearance issue on my PC mobo with my 20-series EVGA cards due to the heatsink design. AMD 6000 (and probably many other GPUs) clear just fine.
Thanks for the content! Does anyone know what kind of fan controller they are using so that it shows up in hiveOS? I mean, case fan controls outside of the bios would be nice for any domestic application that needs to be noise optimized.
Man a lot has changed with Octominer over the years. I really like what I see man, sensors are sick! But never fully without issues hahaha! I have the original case with the first Octominer board still running to this day :) 24/7 since.. 2018? Wow :) need to make an update video :) was the same here though, took a long time to get it running properly (and funnily their SSD was dead for me too hahaha), but once everything worked I never touched it again haha except some funny fan mods (Noctua hehe). Cheers man, turned out nice & clean!
USB header? It's the Front Panel header and you need it. The GPU only using PCI-E x1 and if sitting on slight rise, no issue. Mod the GPU card and its shround. Looking at that PSU backplane, it is NOT hot-swap. Each PSU feeds groups of PCIE power. Look closer, yank a supply, you lose chunk of GPU's.
That’s awesome they sent you three of them and the best thing about it is it’s free It is a really nice server case I think you should do your whole basement in them
Looks awesome. I wish they would sell just 1 unit at a time and not require a bulk order. I'd definitely want one. Hey Panda, maybe organize some of your viewers for a group buy! :) Aloha!

Yes, we ship to Canada, not a problem. We ship internationally. We're going to be launching a new website in the next few weeks where you'll be able to order a 1 or more. Keep an eye out for the launch! Chilly Community & Outreach Director Octominer
Not psyched that they use USED server power supplies. Kinda ridiculous at the $1800 that Minerdude charges. Also at this price those cables should fit perfectly. And they put in a no name SSD? Gah.
You showing us how it is and not covering up their mistakes even though you got them free was very good of you. I would buy one mistakes happen as long as they can offer support and back their product I don't see a issue.
I think this is best ever mining unit ! , i want to order, i only have 17 cards i am a small miner with only 1100 MH/s , but they only sell 5 X. So i might need to bite the bullet buy 5 and sell the 2 online.
My rig is the OEM of this unit from Minerdude and I love it. Running 12 3060tis. I have a second one on order and am filling it with 3070 non LHR cards. My only issue is the last two cards next to the power supply case really do run into the cabling in a not great way. In fact since I put in my last card the LED on the front stopped working no doubt because I knocked the cable loose trying to stuff that last card in. Also if you have really big cards like the 30 series the top bar won’t go in. No big deal just a design flaw in setting the internal dimensions to accommodate the largest cards on the market. All minor issues. I love it and am going to build my farm with only server cases as long as they are available. The cooling and efficiency can’t be beat.
i think these are quite pricy, smart solution on the psu's though. your problems with the mainboard makes it seem a little sketchy, good spaced pci connectors for fat cards.
So the secret to being able to buy their product is to have 150k subscribers witness your ordeal? Sigh. It really seems like they don't care about "small" miners. Not even enough to just say they aren't interested in your business.
That's completely not true! They recently brought me on because they are so swamped with orders and production that they see the need to have someone in the community being on the ground level. We are working on the website and will be releasing it in a few weeks which will allow any type of miner to purchase units. Chilly Community & Outreach Director Octominer
@@HelloImChilly thanks for the ground game. I’m looking to grab about 5-15 of these depending on how my A2000 order pans out and how I decide to deal with my existing home built rigs. That said, shipping notes on the website suggest we wait for shipping prices to come down before ordering. Any idea on when shipping should normalize and when would be best to place an order? Thank you :)
i love the server boxes because they are so clean, but, i find they always run hotter than my open air rigs. i have the 12 gpu frames you are starting to use with 8 120mm 4500rpm 218 CFM fans, and out of 36 3070's and 11 3060TI fe cards the hottest 3060 is 46c doing 61mh and the hottest 3070 is 43c at 61mh also.

when you put the bracket on top of the cards the thing with foam on wouldn't it push the card down enough so that the fan controller usb cable to motherboard is fine?
@@makesime3330 OK, that makes sense. I knew there was a reason, because they wouldn't waist the resources on a bygone technology. But it definitely wasn't apparent to me. Thanks for the info!

Yes, we ship to Canada, not a problem. We ship internationally. We're going to be launching a new website in the next few weeks where you'll be able to order a 1 or more. Keep an eye out for the launch!

@@HelloImChilly Oh thats wonderful yes i will def order one of thease if thats an option with more down the road if things pan out
Not psyched that they use USED server power supplies.
Must be nice Wish i could get a case for my BTC360D+ Mainboard I hate the open frame crap
I think this is best ever mining unit ! , i want to order, i only have 17 cards i am a small miner with only 1100 MH/s , but they only sell 5 X. So i might need to bite the bullet buy 5 and sell the 2 online.
That's nice! Could you please check what the temperatures look like in these cases when GPUs like 3070 Ti are mining RVN ?
That's so awesome I just want to some friends that even want to talk about crypto
I’m curious about the 12x6600xt build. Love that card.
Can I go to your country and help you to ensamble all the rigs?
i think these are quite pricy, smart solution on the psu's though. your problems with the mainboard makes it seem a little sketchy, good spaced pci connectors for fat cards.

U r legend. I need ur help to build my rig. Can u plz help me out. Let me know how I can contact u
i love the server boxes because they are so clean, but, i find they always run hotter than my open air rigs. i have the 12 gpu frames you are starting to use with 8 120mm 4500rpm 218 CFM fans, and out of 36 3070's and 11 3060TI fe cards the hottest 3060 is 46c doing 61mh and the hottest 3070 is 43c at 61mh also.
What is the sound level on that box mining?
That is really beautiful! Wish they made a “Octominer Mini,” like for 4-6 GPU’s… No way I’m sure. Looks like a lot of work, as well. Out of my league on all counts LOL! (I get you on the red handles.)
Do they respond to email? I wanted to purchase the cases and they aren't writing me back :(
Hey Jin, sorry for the delay. Can you shoot your email over to support @ octominer.com and I will personally take care of you :) Thanks!

I've been trying to get my hands on GPU's for over a year now does anyone have a tip/trick they wouldn't mind sharing?
Get to microcenter early and camp.. i have been able to get 28 cards. Going twice a week but this was before they started the 1 card per month thing.
looking to build a mining rig but wondering if too late in the game?
when you put the bracket on top of the cards the thing with foam on wouldn't it push the card down enough so that the fan controller usb cable to motherboard is fine?
It cracks me up that PS2 connections are still coming on motherboards. I coulda sworn that we moved way beyond that a relatively long time ago.
they are 100 % plug and play and can be use over usb connection in case of drivers issue
still yeah it kind of odd in 2021
@@makesime3330 OK, that makes sense. I knew there was a reason, because they wouldn't waist the resources on a bygone technology. But it definitely wasn't apparent to me. Thanks for the info!
I wish I could get GPUs as easily as you can. I’m mining right around 770 Mh/s with my 3 rigs and can’t add more until I have stable income at home. Maybe I’ll be able to build more when the home life changes.
How can it be safe to run 3080 and 3090 in this case when its 6 pin to 8 pin? 6-pin power connector can provide up to 75 watts safetly.
Idk where you are getting your info, but it is not correct.
Love these POC build videos! Nicely done ✅ 😁 @RPM, you continue to prove which is the best investment. Looking forward to the next video drop! 😁
