they did not provide support, not bios update to their older boards, now I got a few of the 8gpu board that wont work with nvidia series 2000 and 3000. They support are useless, no reply after 3 email
Have not auto power on the Ocotominer when the AC is connected? No option? Or why is necessary push the case button?

Red, sometimes after bios updates, the motherboards will reboot several times because it's doing memory training. No idea if that _IS_ whats going on here @ 16:00 but if it only does that once or twice then never again, that's what it was doing. Just learning what timings to run the ram at.
I don't know if that was the purpose of the video but seeing how much painful that bios update was, makes me appreciate my regular 6 PCIE slots ATX motherboards even more over those nuclear power plant server case motherboards :$
I am glad the bios update worked for you @RedPandaMining! I have the same X12Ultra, but am not able to update the bios, it says in loading screen error 310: "fparts.txt" file not found. The file is there and in the root directory aswell. Tried many times, but same error. I only run 11 gpus 2060, because if i add the 12th the rig starts rebooting..Maybe someone has same issues as me.
Did you ever figure this out?? I am having the same problem and driving myself crazy.

great video, is there any way to turn down the fans and save some watts? There is always lots of completion to get the lowest power figures for GPU's. but no one talks about fans or PSU sizing and selection. its something that i'm really interested in is total system efficiency. as a small miner with only a few cards every watt lost makes a huge difference. we work so hard to squeeze every last joule from our cards then go and run 2 PSU's, one for the motherboard and another oversized unit for the GPU's. Fans I think live in the same boat, why push round more air than is needed, rx6600xt's are known for running very cool, I have 2.
I had to run a bios update to get a 6card 6600 XT rig working. 4 cards no problem, but once I expanded to 6 it was very unstable. A bios update resolved all my issues. I used a MSI B450-a Pro Max motherboard cause it came in a Newegg combo. lol

My rigs do that sometimes they will just boot loop like 2 - 5 times and then its fine
This would be a good reason to buy 12 6800's to fill out one of these cases. Especially if you can get them at the AMD store prices.
I have a 6600xt that can't have mem go over 1115 in hive os or it loses megahash. you should try around there or lower. Maybe will help.
I had same problem with pci resources on my tb360 pro and tb360 pro2, install the os (win,hive) in UEFi mode then add GPU's. That was how I fixed my issue (12 3080's)
I also have a card that's misbehaving. Settled on 31.5 mhz at 1100/700/642/1320/1100 CORE/VDD/VDDCI/MVDD/MEM. I left SOC freq at 0 as it didn't seem to make much difference apart from more crashes. I suspect some cards really need more core speed and higher memmory controller voltage to operate properly.
I looked on their site and they have an X12 with 2000 watts of power in case anyone wants to build out a rig that uses lower power cards like 12 Nvidia A4000s.
How wide are those PCIe slots? Could you put pcie splitters in them? :-)
The link to Octominer BIOS doesn't work and the one I downloaded doesn't fix this problem... Is there an alternate location for the one you downloaded and used?

initially i need only 1 unit with 3 sources 1400w. I live in Brazil and I need to see how my country dealt with taxes.

Chipset drivers are chipset drivers. Just find the chipset for the mystic miner motherboard (sounds like the same one that the octominer 12 is using) and do the same thing and update it.
My x470 motherboard does that on-off trip-out whenever I make a significant change too.

My gaming plus motherboard with 6 slots behaved exactly the same after updating bios. Its just did 3 auto restart the first time i start here up, then it was fine.

SMOS has recently changed management / ownership and they have had a lot of new development; SMOS works great for me; very steady and stable; pretty much set and forget; just like an Edelbrock carburetors!

I have a similar board but with only 12 pcie connections . The other pcie connections on that board are supposed to be used for mining only GPUS. What the difference is i dont know but thats how my F310 msi works.

Def cannot rack mount these on a typical server rack. Would have to be a custom built rack

You may kill the mystic miner if you try that....bios updates for mobo are generally specific. You could take the power supplies on and use the 750w ones if you want to match the power usage? I wonder if the new revision x12 uses the same bios...if I get one we will see.

Well they can do 21ish mh which is pretty close to the 6600 only 9 more. And the 6600 is alot more then 100 bucks. As long as it's not a scam I'd say it might be worth it. But I'm reading they take 90w. U might be better off doing bigger cards for better electrical usage. Happy mining

I got a few older octominer board, they are useless, the board doesnt work with rtx2000 rtx3000 series, they do work with gtx1000 and all amd tho. Contact the support, no reply at all.
In terms of efficiency is not the best, i have, 8 x rtx 3080 with EVGA Supernova 1600 P2 and im pullng 1045W at wall, my hashrate is 475,5 Mh/s. Rig is super quiet with 3070 supreme and asus rog strix cards. No need to use any additional vents due to 20 cm space between cards (4 top and 4 bottom big alu frame).

It’s funny because I call all your mistakes when you make them, the sub first spot you definitely didn’t have it plugged in all the way which is why it didn’t detect it, then the bios update you could clearly know it wasn’t updated by looking at the bios version but took you a lot to figure this out lol good stuff though just funny as I watch and tell you everything while your doing it

This is correct, we are in the middle of redesigning the current website. There will still be a minimum of 5 units once we relaunch.
