Awesome reaction to an absolutely beautiful song. Never thought about it before but you're right. It's perfect for a funeral. Especially the way Geoff is singing it.
Do listen to the original. I'm old, I fell in love with it when it was released. It was a warning... emotionally level, but profound. Then Draiman came along and painted it in rage because we're ignoring the warnings..... and now Geoff, with the deep grief. Draiman was my favorite until this was released, and now I don't have a favorite. This is so gorgeous and so different that it's like a different song entirely. Impossible to compare them. In the future when I listen, I'll be following my mood, and not the "best version." Thanks for your reaction. I appreciate it.
Geoff sure is a talent. Wow. He did a spectacular job taking Simon and Garfunkel's signature poetic song and putting new layers and more emotion into it. If you listen or react to Simon and Garfunkel's version, you will not be disappointed and you will come away from Geoff's version with a newfound respect and appreciation. Geoff's solo work has Blackbird (Beatles), High and Dry (Radiohead), Shenandoah (mid1800s American folk song - done especially for his wife Kathy), Till Then (WW2 song sung from the perspective of a soldier going off to war and asking his lady to wait "Till Then").
Yes Disturbed's version was amazing. And so is this. Different but equally emotional. For me it portrayed sadness mixed with anger. A very original and unique take on the song. Geoff played piano on Blackbird, Shenandoah, Till Then, and High and Dry.
Disturbed version is to angry for me. Just the singer himself, I dont know he is a bit, not with it to me, like he had a unhappy childhood or something. Geoff felt it more and put a lot of emotion in it. I could feel it more with Geoff and the harmonies added a lot more feel to it.
@@DanielKing-dk5nr Yes the Disturbed version is angry, angry that no one heeded the warning of the original song. For me Geoff includes some of that angst but also portrays the sadness that it wasn't heeded.
The front man, David Dharman apparently grew up in a with an abusive mother, pretty much the second chorus of disturbs down with the sickness that you don’t hear on the radio, or in the official video on RUclips is pretty much him venting what he went through during his entire childhood
Beautiful isn't it. 😊 I was worried about hearing it as I loved Dusturbed's version. But the more I hear it, the more I love it... If you think about the analogies from other versions ..... With S&G, it was a warning to everyone... Dusturbed's version was anger that people were still ignoring the message and Geoff's version is sadness as it maybe too late, but in the latter part, more upbeat that someone may still hear and make a difference. Xx 😊🇬🇧
Alot of reactors hide their faces in some way for many reasons. This way, masks, etc. There's even one that has a rooster head on him. It isn't pointless. I personally like it. I choose reactors for their personality. Not their looks. The way they react to the both the video and the people watching. Even alot of reactors that show their face don't have alot subs or views. Alot of different factors in that too. No worries Blaze. Were here for you.
@@blazinwolfvtuber No prob. It just irks me when people put other people down like that. It's very rude and mean. Both being my biggest pet peeves. So yeah. I had to say something to them. My feeling on it is... There are plenty of reactors out there. If you don't like it then move on. You don't have to be rude.

Yeah, for sure
Thanks for checking out Geoff, he has a ton of content to react to. He is also a part of Voiceplay and it is a fun rabbit hole to go through.
Yeah, it’s pretty interesting
I remember when Simon & Garfunkel released this. Geoff bought that particular piano for his cover of "Till Then" because he wanted a certain sound.
Cool
Definitely a sad version. Hauntedly beautiful.
Yes
Yeah, geoff's version is more somber and self reflective. It's beautiful 😊
Yeah, for sure
This version is desperately needed for the trailer for a post-disaster movie, or the end credits. A song that just says "too little, too late".
Yeah, that sounds about right

Yeah
Still a gorgeous version of this song.
Yeah
Good video
Voiceplay release new song very soon ( probably Friday) It s already on Patreon
Please react to it when they come out
Don’t worry, I will
Stop being a fury. And just come out the closest
OK clearly you don’t get what vtubers also you missed spelled that
Kinda pointless doing a reaction channel with the anime thing, it'd take less time and you'd probably get more views
@@blazinwolfvtuber - all the more power to you for being so brave and creative.
