Every voice you heard here was Geoff. In many of his other videos, he'll film himself singing each of the four or five parts and then superimpose them on the screen so you're seeing four or five of him. He's even named his 'clones' and given them their own traits, and sometimes different costumes. Please check out his covers of Sixteen Tons, Ghost Riders In The Sky and Far Over The Misty Mountains Cold, you won't be disappointed! Also take a look at VoicePlay, the a capella group for whom he sings bass; they're in the same league and also make unique and beautiful covers across many musical genres!
@Broomrider1492 1 second ago He did all the things to make this his own. We, old folks, remember when Simon & Garfunkel wrote this song. My granddaughter introduced me to Disturbeds' cover, which blew me away and made me cry. With his melt butter, creaming bass is doing it again.
Thanks for your reaction. I adore the Disturbed cover. But - to me- Geoff's cover is just as beautiful and completely different. It's as if they are two different songs, each top of class. In the future, I know I'll listen to version by mood, without prioritizing one over the over. I think you're going to have a lot of fun checking out more of Geoff's music. You might want to listen to his "Ain't No Sunshine" and Blackbird (Beatles) to get a stronger picture of his range. I'm impressed by how deep Geoff goes, but what pulls me in and draws me back is how beautiful his full range is. It's not just gravel, but gorgeous, warm butter notes.
Thank you so much for your awesome reaction to Geoff. His cover is amazing. He makes you feel the lyrics. He has a way of reaching deep down into your soul. This has a sad undertone to it. It tugs at your heart strings. Geoff is a genius when it comes to his arrangements as well as when he does arrangements for Voice Play. Stay tuned for another Voice Play cover to be released shortly. His wife Kathy is also in the video. I can't wait.
This is the only cover he's done (so far) where he sings harmony but doesn't show the other Geoff's singing on screen. Great reaction, subscribed in anticipation of more Geoff and Voiceplay!!
Such a beautiful cover. So melancholy and sad, but there is a light at the end of a long, dark tunnel. This song literally touches my soul and makes me cry every time I listen to it. There just are no words to properly describe how it makes me feel. I heard someone say that the original was the warning, Disturbed's cover was the anger, and Geoff's was the sadness and reflection that comes after.
I've heard people say that they've tried to listen to him in a car with a fairly bad sound system. So they end up not being able to hear him at those lowest sounds, but man, does the whole car shake when he hits them, LOL!
Most of the time, Geoff has some way of visually representing the fact that every voice you hear is his. This video is an exception, and most likely done to highlight the themes in the lyrics; the song would lose some of its impact if it became another Geoff ensemble piece. But yes, every voice, from high to low to lower than low, it's all Geoff Castellucci.
His range is 5 octaves. I think he may have 6, but I know for sure he has 5 octaves. He does his own harmonies in all of his songs. I am addicted to Geoff. Bass has always been my favorite voice.
Geoff is singing all of the parts! Every voice, every harmony is just him!
He did all the harmonies himself. He is crazy talented.

Geoff's vocal range is: YES. 😂
Enjoyed your reaction! ❤
Geoff does all his own harmonies and arrangements, I love his covers of Big Bad John and Ain't No Sunshine.

It's my favorite version, so beautiful. His range is 5 octaves from the bottom note A0 to A5 (above high C). Those harmonies are just him.
A very emotional rendition of this well known song. I just love it.

I think he chose to not show his ensemble of selves to heighten that sense of loneliness.
Отличная реакция
Thank you for the wonderful reaction.
Anything by geoff is good but I recommend these: 16 Tons, Misty Mountain Cold, and Way Down for the personality. ❤
