I like seeing these kinds of videos especially with the ballistic dummies having bone and organs in them. gives ya a good idea what happens when a bullet hits even with body armor
In Poland, we don't have a lot of guns. If any, it will be (very likely) grandpa's side-by-side or 2x 12 gauge side-by-side and a third barrel under in the middle for a rifle cartridge - just in case. Such a gun keeps over 10.000 joules in just 3 shots. I've never seen any hunter here using other slugs than Breneka. Both barrels shot with a single pull will move a hand or a leg or head from the owner. Breneka will stop charging boar or a charging sow on spot - if you are so stupid to cross paths with any of these beasts. It will stop a brown bear from attacking further but not with a single shot. Single Breneka hit is something brown bear can recover.
That's a good video idea. Some say birdshot is lethal for HD, some say it's not. Real question is, what range is it lethal, and what size shot? That dummy would be a fairly accurate test medium. Also, test a wax slug and buckshot.
@Iraqveteran8888 As I was reading on the Premier website here is the way to rate it: Understanding armor levels is crucial for choosing appropriate protective gear. As defined by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), there are five distinct body armor ballistic levels: Level IIA, Level II, Level IIIA, Level III, and Level IV. Each level signifies the armour's capability to resist specific types of rounds at particular velocities: Level IIA: This level offers protection against lower velocity 9mm and .40 S&W ammunition. Level II: Provides increased protection, including higher velocity .357 Magnum and 9mm ammunition. Level IIIA: Offers even greater protection, suitable for high-velocity 9mm and .44 Magnum ammunition. Level III: Resists rifle rounds, specifically 7.62mm FMJ lead core rifle ammunition. Level IV: The highest NIJ body armor level, designed to withstand armor-piercing rifle rounds. In essence, each increase in armour level offers enhanced ballistic protection, but it's crucial to consider factors like comfort and mobility when selecting the appropriate level for your specific needs. In the .06 Standard, there are five protection levels (IIA, II, IIIA, III, IV). The “A” in levels IIA and IIIA means that the body armor is more effective than the level below it, but doesn’t meet the standards of the next level. Think of it as a half (for example: level IIIA = 2.5). Each of the levels are tested with a specific round, at a particular distance (5 meters for level IIA, II, & IIIA and 15 meters for level III and IV), at a specific velocity.
I might have this wrong, but Kentucky Ballistics tested this same armour I believe and when he opened it up it was not soft material but was made up of a bunch of small ceramic plates about 20 x 20mm. You can see it in this video on the slowmo footage when little fragments of the ceramic fly out the bullet hole. The small plates are how they are able to provide side protection. Iraqveteran8888 should open up the armour and make a video showing the inside just to check, unless of course you want to keep it for another video.

Put that armor on the top of my Christmas wish list please Santa.
Poor Rosco the alien. He landed on the wrong planet, into the hands of a vet.
You don't wear armor to die of physical trauma instead of bullet goes through your body. When I heard about this armor before, thought it was cool. But many people says that other "rated" armors will work better. I'd like to know what others think, as this armor is pretty cool concept.
When are we going to see the FK 7.5 in a SBR? I would love to see that round on a 10 to 12" barrel rifle.
You might as well use an SBR at that point.
I'm really glad you used a 20" barrel and did worst case
Is literally *any* of Safelife's armor certified by the NIJ?
no, all Chineseium
What does "certified" mean if you can watch this and see how well it does??
It just got IV8888 certified. Good enough for me to wear.
@@blackhawkinternationalsecu6962 NIJ certification required drop tests, water and extreme temperature tests, and random audits by the NIJ at the factory for quality control which has caught many slacking manufacturers in the past. Safelife doesn't have to do any of that and only have 3 year old independent batch tests to show.
@@Halal_Dan Yup. I'm fully aware of the NIJ standards. Top notch. But it takes a few years to get their certification. So if you're a newbie on the market, what do you do?
I really enjoy these types of videos and chronograph videos
Is there any test available for this type of armor (soft), that measures kinetic energy... for when the round impacts/causes a bulge, and makes contact with the body? I haven’t seen any, but I may not have been looking in the right places.
Level 10A+ test guys, the verry best I've ever seen.
Damn is this company's armor expensive.
go look at Point Blank. oh wait they don't even publish their prices!
Botach! Level 4 plates for $110
probably worth your life though.
and you're still dead if you wear it and get shot. lmfao
If you don't plan on ever maybe getting shot with it . Don't buy armor if you need the armor buy the good shit so your still alive afterwards
"If you get shot with that slug wearing no armor, don't collect 200$, don't call the ambulance, call the morgue"
Straight away to Hades lol
If Roscoe survives he gets to go back home
After watching further into the video I would like to send my condolences to his family
I like seeing these kinds of videos especially with the ballistic dummies having bone and organs in them. gives ya a good idea what happens when a bullet hits even with body armor
Say it with me guys: PARROT RIFLE!!!
@CelticSaxon88 yes. Afaik he has one. You can find old videos of it on his channel.
@CelticSaxon88 yes it is lol
Intro: "Welcome back everybody" (Points towards torso) no pun intended
I'd say ask my boy "Deady Hawk" about what it's like to get shot sub-eight feet with it but uhh...
Maybe Mr. Bye-cep could give an insight though.
Spaghetti arm!! Uh oh, spaghetti-o's! 😂
Single Breneka hit is something brown bear can recover.
drinking game :drink a shot everytime he says "very bad day"😝😝😂
lots of good energy and content, I really enjoyed it!
I'm happy he used a 20 inch m16
In the ar 15 world at that close of range that is a worse case scenario
That first shot that drew the blue blood looked like an armor shot to me...
That's what I was thinking. The vest is high where it should be. So I'm confused on that.
Somebody get him a red dot please 😂
😂
Nice job, keep on keepin on...
Who else wanted them to shoot a whole tube of birdshot at the dummy after they were done
That's a good video idea. Some say birdshot is lethal for HD, some say it's not. Real question is, what range is it lethal, and what size shot? That dummy would be a fairly accurate test medium. Also, test a wax slug and buckshot.
@Iraqveteran8888 As I was reading on the Premier website here is the way to rate it:
Understanding armor levels is crucial for choosing appropriate protective gear. As defined by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), there are five distinct body armor ballistic levels: Level IIA, Level II, Level IIIA, Level III, and Level IV. Each level signifies the armour's capability to resist specific types of rounds at particular velocities:
Level IIA: This level offers protection against lower velocity 9mm and .40 S&W ammunition.
Attention to all. If you see an alien wearing this body armor, do not shoot him dead center Mass. Shoot him in the head and then steal his stuff.
Very interesting. I'd like to see what kind of damage the rounds would do to the balistic torso if it was hard plates vs soft plates
Can I order an extended height body armor? Protect the upper chest?
Just cuz, you know.....
Just size it correctly to you and you'll be good
You always go above and beyond with your video my friend
