Panzerhaubitze 2000 is a German 155 mm self-propelled howitzer developed by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and Rheinmetall in the 1980s and 1990s for the German Army. In November 2019, a PzH 2000 L52 gun fired a shell a distance of 67 km.

as an American, the PzH 2000 is a lot cooler than the M109.

This howitzer earned its reputation on the largest battlefield in Europe early this century in Ukraine. And yes, at first there were a lot of complaints from Ukraine, there were even funny remarks when the howitzer stopped as if dead on the battlefield after firing and demanded the immediate arrival of a mechanic when it was necessary to run away from return artillery fire. Rheinmetall quickly modified and corrected everything. Now this monster is bringing joy to lost Russian military tourists in Ukraine.
Just like the Howitzer Haci never misses!

PZ2000 is still double the cost than K9 and maintenance cost and timing is questionable. Ukraine also found out that PZ2000 requires non standard 155mm rounds with less powder not to overheat the barrel. PZ2000 also doesn't have K10 auto loader for faster reload in combat environment.

It is relly good howitzer but it is (as all western equipment ) overengeenired and comolex wich makes it extreamly hard to maintain and repair even during peace time and not talking abou war. This is higlited in Ukraine right now becuase thay can't maintain these sysetms. In the end it is show peace and not a war machine

Hochdruckanlage vom Magazin zu schwach, würde schon festgestellt und wenn nicht schnellstmöglich einige Dinge nachgearbeitet sowie Eigenschutz egal ob Sie die größte Reichweite besitzen sollte ist Sie trotzdem zu treuer und man kann auch nicht mehr von Deutscher Wertarbeit sprechen da nicht einmal ein Dauerbelastungstest durchgeführt wurde
The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported they fired 20,000 rounds thorugh one PZH 2000 barrel while it is only rated for 4,500. Suprised even the manufacturer. Ukraine ordered 100 PZH 2000.
