√✓ STUFF-N-SUCH: Agnes Moorehead did in fact do over 30 episodes of Suspense, however - That number includes SEVEN performances of "Sorry, Wrong Number" and she did "Yellow Wallpaper" twice. (I don't make you sort through all 900 episodes containing those multiple duplicates like other channels) All of her (different) stories are in one place in one playlist: "1st Lady of Suspense." Agnes also had small (non-starring) roles in several others, not featured in her playlist. One of them is Ray Bradbury's "The Screaming Woman," where Agnes is the mom with only a few lines. Because the story is so good, you will find that one in her playlist. Okay?! - Charlie
Feed me Seymore Don't cry. I know (in a way) how you may feel. I lost my dearest, closest brother when he died suddenly a few years ago. We were pals from the time I crawled as a baby. He was only 54, and he shows up in my dreams every night. There's a huge hole in my heart . . . I miss him more than anything in the world. Just try to continue as best you can, and I'll try to keep you company. (and maybe, now and then, I can make you smile)
Tsnore It's always good to see you checking out my programs! As the Suspense series progresses in later years, really good stories are harder to find. That's why I've held back a few older ones. I still kick myself for typos and misspelling a name, cause I really do know better. Sometimes they get posted because I'm in a hurry and not re-reading my work until it's too late.
No shade to Agatha, but why the hell would Lydia purchase the coffin before having the entire murder plan on lock? Even after being questioned about the purchase she STILL didn't consider HOW she was going to murder her sister? Strange indeed...
Okay I know the suspense is in the not knowing but one more question: If Lydia was going to fake her own death by killing her sister as a decoy, then what the hell was she planning to do with herself for the rest of her life as a dead woman? Did she have a new identity set up? Was this motivated by money in some way? Because it seems like she would have shot herself in the foot by...killing herself off. Why on earth would she want to murder her sister but make it look like SHE was murdered? Is this an early example of living off the grid? Did she want to just disappear? I can get on board with that. This is why Agatha Christie is the Queen of Mystery. 👑
There's no shortage of creepy Suspense episodes - go to my channel and scroll thru my playlists to the Agnes Moorehead playlist, and listen to "Don't call me Mother!' My cats still listen to my uploads with me every night!
Radio acting is its own artform, with its own craft and skillset. Sadly its virtually dead but Moorehead mastered the art. No face, no eyes, no gestures, no poses, no use of props, scenery or costumes to create character or move the audience, Just the human voice as the sole instrument for this performance.
I asked that same question! I found out that the winery was sold a couple of times long ago, and that the Roma brand is gone. Of course, someone could have a dusty bottle in their basement! - Charlie
Improved sound quality but the commercials ruin everything. Other uploads edit the stupid commercials out, which destroy the atmosphere and interrupt the flow of the plot.
I adore the commercials- they’re contemporaneous with the times; just a Suspense episode or two ago they were announcing an upcoming programme and said, “such and such WAR TIME.”
Audrey Cordova I don't. It sounds kind of familiar, and I think it's an old hymm. (Now you've got ME wondering! I'll see if I can track it down. No promises, but I'll try)
Audrey Cordova No luck. I even looked up this episode in my Old Radio "Bible." If you go way back thru my uploads, I uploaded this same story with Rosalind Russel. It has much clearer sound, and perhaps you can pick up the tune better. The only thing I'm pretty sure of is that's it's a hymm. If you by chance find out what it is, let me know! Thanks for being with our channel - Charlie

Yes, she was definitely “The Queen of Radio”!
Fantastic!!! Thank you ❤
I’ve heard these over & over again & I am always “Bewitched” by Ms Moorehead’s performances! What a treasure! Thanks for sharing.
Excellent ❤
Oh, this was good!! Surprise ending. Loved hearing the voices of Ida Lupino and Agnes Moorehead. Thank you 😊
Feed me Seymore I knew you would!
Suspense & ESCAPE! You know I love my old movie stars.
Feed me Seymore Fortunately for us, most Suspense episodes feature all the best old movie stars.
Suspense & ESCAPE! Yes, and being a recent widow, they keep me company. Help me to stop crying all the time.

You're welcome, and I agree.
I love the comercials. thanks for the upload.
Thanks for the upload.
You are more than welcome!
I'll take Ida and Agnes over Rosalind and Lurene any day! Thanks for posting this!
I think maybe you're right - thanks for posting your comments!
Nice tale, but "Lupino" with Ida - and what a star!

Ida Lupino is the same actress, you seem have mixed up separate names

You are so right. Thanks for commenting!
There are "props" though - in the form of sound foley.
AND when she was in TV AND FILM, she could say SO MUCH without any words! Check out her skill in Twilight Zone episode "The Invaders"!
Is the Rosiland Russell version still available...big fan ...would love to hear her performance.
Yes. I have all of her episodes are in one playlist, including "Sisters."
I recently watched Russell in "Electra." She's an excellent actress.
Do they still make Roma wine???
I asked that same question! I found out that the winery was sold a couple of times long ago, and that the Roma brand is gone. Of course, someone could have a dusty bottle in their basement! - Charlie
@@SuspenseESCAPEremastered I'd love a bottle just to listen to these
@@robbk7099 . . . and only pennies per serving!
@@SuspenseESCAPEremastered I just found a vintage trial size unopened bottle of Roma wine on Ebay!!! Ima buy it tommorro
@@robbk7099 THAT is cool!!! Let me know if it's any good (if you decide to open it)
The dialogue in some theses episodes of Suspense were very clichéd. The writers seem use same formula too often.

The old commercials are part of the charm, the nostalgia. I enjoy it.
Want to hear one of my ideas for a perfect murder?
I adore the commercials- they’re contemporaneous with the times; just a Suspense episode or two ago they were announcing an upcoming programme and said, “such and such WAR TIME.”
Do you have any idea what song Agnes is singing?
Audrey Cordova I don't. It sounds kind of familiar, and I think it's an old hymm. (Now you've got ME wondering! I'll see if I can track it down. No promises, but I'll try)
