I wonder how GSG will deal with stingtails and bulk detanators on deep scan. Stingtails can just yoink you up and kill you with fall damage and bulks can just snipe you with their explosive sacks when they die.
GSG Devs said that some enemies will not be able to spawn on this type of mission, like a bulk not being able to spawn on Salvage if you are a sole player in the lobby
play hazard 2 if bulks and stingtails are a problem. Haz 2 requires way less effort and focus from players and it may be suited for you if you are having trouble with the harder enemies in the game.

Having all the season content being removed from lost equipment and cargo creates is such a fantastic fix to the problem of cosmetic inflation we were experiencing.
Another common GSG w, whenever i see the changes and positive feedback that they bring to DSG it makes all of the other games i play feel like sad jokes.

Im betting the duck and cover warning increases ranged ebemy spawns of all varieties, not just spitters and mactera but also infectors, korlok tyrant weed(?) and vartok.
cave formations might be the most interesting for me, i didn't play nearly as much as some have but it was a decent amount. i never found the formations too predictable for thenmost part already but certain missions felt like the same terrain everytime, i don't know if those will get new ones aswell obviously certain missions need the copy paste like hearthstone. and the mission where you dig rocks up and bring to the center need an open area to not get too backtracky. but there were varients to it and I'm hoping this new formation update adds to that one. the heartstone changes im still on the fence about, it doesn't sound like anything actually new for the phases, just a remix. and talking about the new crystal claw mechanic, i don't mind it although the more i think about it. that might ruin the clutch factor some times we get when everything looked like it was about to end. it didn't feel cheap to Hammer on while enemies show up cause usually you'd die if you tried to ignore them. and if things get out of hand someone usually has to keep hammering cause enemies clip instead so it takes longer to get rid of them. having a claw cc you would just make it rough. we'll see. also i wish it didn't phase through Loretta. there has got to be a better way to make it appear and i hope those were just placeholder imagines command grabs have usually been the #1 cause of most salt inducing moments from my memory with this game. i think more new phases promised in future would be better (not now but later on) cause right now itll probably still feel like a routine more than an adapting change like implied. i feel like new attack phases aren't an unrealistic thing to expect.
I had a dream that GSG rebranded season 5. It made everyone think that the “drilling deeper” thing was being changed but it just an art change for the text. Kind of a boring dream ngl
I really do hope they finish DRG, add something big like new biomes and then make another game. I'd love to see them try to be creative once again because I've noticed some amount of burnout from the dev team since 2019 (back when I started playing DRG). A new product might just be that something - it doesn't even need a new universe to be set in - maybe a beer brewing game similar to Cookout but with goblins (refer to goblin drama of DRG 2022)? How about a card game that also doubles as tower defense? Maybe they'll make a platformer set inside one of the space rigs where the player is a kobold who has to maintain a critical part of machinery during a system breakdown (for some reason modders of DRG like kobolds)?

honestly, i REALLY wanted some more rng and mission reworks, like the liquid morkite missions were so fun, but after 20missions it just got so repatative, it always breaks 3 times, always 2 holes per pipeline etc. More RNG PLEASE! Rng gives so much replayability And like really, you have to unlock the same hat/beard for each character? That just feels like such a a artificial grind increase, if they would be unique for each class sure, but now the same mohawk whick can only be obtained from side objectives in-game? really? And requiring a matrix core sometimes? Sheesh.
It's good that the haz5+ options only affect haz5 and nothing else, which means I'll never need to play that. Personally I'm hoping for some new mini-boss enemies like the Korlok, we haven't gotten any of those in quite some time. Also the Ebonite mutator making Molly dispense pickaxe charge capsules is probably the most logical way they'll go about this, though this begs the question what happens if an Ebonite machine event is also active.
Fun fact: the Stalker bug prototype currently exist in the game. If you play on PC, download the sandbox mod, where you can find Stalkers and other prototype/cancelled mobs
I like that the stalker is not all that quiet. It's stated to have a distinct sound, as all disruptive enemies must, and relies on being visually stealthy instead. I'm curious as to whether their AI will actually hang back should they appear in a major swarm, or if they'll just run in with everything else and be cut down. Noticably, the Secret Secondary anomaly doesn't just grant another normal secondary objective, but instead seemingly one of several unique ones. This tracks with how the game is designed - as some mods have shown plenty well, simply adding more secondaries to the cave doesn't make the mission more time-consuming or difficult, only more rewarding, as all active secondaries will generate their items across the entire cave system. Most likely the objectives specific to Secret Secondary will be localized to one area of the cave. There should totally be an achievement for getting back up the drillivator hole without equipping the boots. Intrigued as to just how deep it'll be given the normal jet boots can already get you up twice the distance of the drop pod hole easily when used properly.
