OPA is great at close range; I just have trouble dealing with the spread and like my primary to hit things far away. Shield Battery Booster is a nice compromise when your shield is full but problematic when it's not. I'm not sure what my favorite is, but I have found myself running with SBB the most.
It was a very nice surprise hearing the piano fade in, it suited the intensity of that final portion quite well This entire video is definitely peak deep rock chaos

I've had deep dives that didn't last as long as this mission, lol (Ironically the deep dive this week is also in the sand cave, is filled with bulk detonators and has a painful refining segment)
I had to do a solo haz 5 mission (modded) where the secondary objective was to kill 14 bulk detonators. And they all spawned in the cave at the beginning. So I feel the bulk pain. I actually had to use Hipster M1000 just because it's the most ammo efficient for doing as much damage as possible before resupplying. Zhukov can actually do oodles of damage too while being about as efficient as all three of the primaries.
I think you forgot to mention another song you used, and it's pretty criminal you didn't because it's such a damn good song too Noticed at around 14:00 is Tenebre Rosso Sangue by Keygen Church, one of the best songs in the Ultrakill OST Damn good video as always btw, love watching your videos! @@nameisnttaylor no problem! honestly I don't even mind the slower upload schedule for your channel, the quality is always worth the wait. not to mention one advantage of Deep Rock Galactic's less frequent updates is that older content recorded stays fresh for quite a while and takes away the pressure that comes with a lot of games to upload whenever new stuff comes out. Like, with most games (except for Team Fortress 2 lol), 8-9 month old footage is considered ancient. With DRG? I don't care, especially when it's this great XD
The main reason to kill the corruptor are if it is in a necessary area (a dreadnought room, for instance), as it will fill the whole place with spikes that _will_ end your mission; or to get rid of its constant supply of plagueworms it causes, as the corruption patches have a chance to spawn a larva pod on them which will periodically release the little burrowing worms to annoy you. The plaguehearts are an alright reward but the fight can be pretty taxing because the only way to actually determine the location is either to wait for it to reach a good one - which it might just decide to never do - before starting it, and the vague and difficult herding of it when it runs away after anchoring and when the fight initially starts. If it's off doing its own thing in an unimportant or wide-open area, it's often better to just leave the damn thing alone, damn whatever management tells you when you get back. It doesn't spawn rockpox swarms, or contagion spikes, or even expand the lithophage as the corruption patches vanish after a while (but oh, when they didn't, it sure was something terrible and incredible to see). Anyways, we totally love vertical refining maps, thank you Hoxxes for the free guaranteed fall-induced deaths with every knockback enemy, and indeed, with every further drop the rig sends carving death pits in the terrain. I appreciate the mortar gauntlet you were running for most of that time, also, it was very red. I do not appreciate, conversely, the implication during the intermission that 'Taylor' is a completely separate tag to the apparently standalone 'Name Is'. Wonderful music choice for the climax (much as this continuous hell had a climax), possibly. I might be hallucinating what seemed like a pipe organ.

I think many ppl hate drak because it doesn't kill priority targetes that good (mainly because the scouts that equip it loves shooting grunts which is already the forte of drillers but not picking up priority targets) one time I elite deep dive with one as driller, there's acid spitter ad septic spreaders everywhere and ofc we lost 31 revives? just another nameistaylor regular vids (funny that volatile bullet build you had at the start is a bulk detonator destroyer)
Reminds me of the deep dive last week where it was haunted cave and one room had a bet c and twins who spawned instantly since the Detonator ghost spawned them and later there was a regular hulk detonator
0:51 Personally, I hope that Ghostship Games sometime balances that Overclock, its a fun overclock, but it's too negative. -30% max ammo, significant accuracy loss, and increased heat per shot +50% aka reduced mag size. And for what? Almost Double Damage (+88%) bonus damage. Would be so much better if it was double damage with half ammo. Or maybe keep it the same, but the plasma protectiles are bigger and have a large area of effect splash. Personally, i wish the Drak had a clean Overclock that just gave more ammo or something like +1 or 2 extra damage.

I actually have this exact scout build with the same overclocks as my tech scout Particle Accelerator Plasma Rifle Embedded Detonator Zhukov Insta revive and shield boost Slow nades All the close range damage
A while ago when my sister first started the game my brother and I joined her on her second morkite refinery mission it was in the lava place and the map was almost entirely vertical with the refinery at the top of the map and in that one mission we had 3 bulk detonators, 2 oppressors at the same time, 2 full size meteorites, not that many swarms surprisingly, and a couple mactera swarms that was the only mission we did that day
one time i went ot the crystalline caverns and heard the nemesis, after digging through some dirt there the bastard was i engaged it with my armskore, everyone died but me, and while i was trying to kill it and the 2 grunts whittling me down, like the entire mactera spawn population must've all had the same neuron fire because then like a billion of them appeared and finished the job another reason to call for mactera exextinction
So, me and my buddies, we have this saying when playing hard DRG missions, comparing them to "the 2020 mission". It was a Haz 3 On-Site Refining in Sandblasted just like this (except not Haz 5), but for whatever reason, it completely went off the rails, with a crassus at the beginning that went completely wrong, sand sharks and massive swarmer groups. There might've been Bulk Detonators too, I can't remember anymore; probably repressed memories of them if they existed. The difficulty felt definitely like it was an entire Hazard level+ beyond what it was supposed to be. To add to it, we had two greenbeards with our team, and one of them died 16 times, and the OTHER one kept getting sand-sharked, to the point he got literally stuck IN the pump rig platform somehow, and we had to leave him behind. This one looks like it will be remembered by your team as "the 2023 Halloween Mission". absolutely insane what all happened in this. and to think Glyphid Stalkers could hypothetically exist in future missions like these absurd exceptions from now on...
my least favorite drg mission right now was a deep dive where i had to collect crystals and alien eggs in a very vertical cave, with the no oxygen modifier. took me an hour and 11 minutes to finish that one mission.
I had a no oxygen point extraction solo once, bulk detonator gave me a friendly hug which was lovely and luckily it didn't take as long as yours, just about 45 mins
I know the pain. Had a haz 4 mission by my self and let me count. 5 bulk, two meteors, oh and it was an outbreak mission. Ive learnd that every 5 or so missions the curse comes back and my life ia on the line.
@nameisnttaylor it's just how it is. However, you can't top giving a friend trauma by saying, "That's what I like, nesly crunch." One I finished that sentence, a bulk spawned under said friend.
As a gunner main, bulks are my favorite meal of the day. One time i had 6 bulks spawn in 3 back to back pairs... on Escort Duty at the heartstone phase
I had 5 bulks in a mission. Fortunately 3 of them were close together and we took all 3 with 1. That was one of the most epic moments I witnessed in DRG
Me and my friend where doing a new deep scan mission with blood sugar anomaly and four bulks spawned on that mission, the fourth one killed us when one of it's explosive tumours (if that's the name) landed on the drillevator whilst it was going down killing us both; we had both already used our iron wills. The bulk pretty much caught up to us when the drillevator was mining through some super dense rock, we were dead either way.

So, me and my buddies, we have this saying when playing hard DRG missions, comparing them to "the 2020 mission". It was a Haz 3 On-Site Refining in Sandblasted just like this (except not Haz 5), but for whatever reason, it completely went off the rails, with a crassus at the beginning that went completely wrong, sand sharks and massive swarmer groups. There might've been Bulk Detonators too, I can't remember anymore; probably repressed memories of them if they existed. The difficulty felt definitely like it was an entire Hazard level+ beyond what it was supposed to be. To add to it, we had two greenbeards with our team, and one of them died 16 times, and the OTHER one kept getting sand-sharked, to the point he got literally stuck IN the pump rig platform somehow, and we had to leave him behind.
This one looks like it will be remembered by your team as "the 2023 Halloween Mission". absolutely insane what all happened in this. and to think Glyphid Stalkers could hypothetically exist in future missions like these absurd exceptions from now on...

my least favorite drg mission right now was a deep dive where i had to collect crystals and alien eggs in a very vertical cave, with the no oxygen modifier.
took me an hour and 11 minutes to finish that one mission.
I had a no oxygen point extraction solo once, bulk detonator gave me a friendly hug which was lovely and luckily it didn't take as long as yours, just about 45 mins
I know the pain. Had a haz 4 mission by my self and let me count. 5 bulk, two meteors, oh and it was an outbreak mission. Ive learnd that every 5 or so missions the curse comes back and my life ia on the line.

@nameisnttaylor it's just how it is. However, you can't top giving a friend trauma by saying, "That's what I like, nesly crunch." One I finished that sentence, a bulk spawned under said friend.
Oops all bulls is slightly worse, but probably a little easier since you can be a scout and just dodge everything
As a gunner main, bulks are my favorite meal of the day.
One time i had 6 bulks spawn in 3 back to back pairs... on Escort Duty at the heartstone phase

I had 5 bulks in a mission. Fortunately 3 of them were close together and we took all 3 with 1. That was one of the most epic moments I witnessed in DRG

Me and my friend where doing a new deep scan mission with blood sugar anomaly and four bulks spawned on that mission, the fourth one killed us when one of it's explosive tumours (if that's the name) landed on the drillevator whilst it was going down killing us both; we had both already used our iron wills. The bulk pretty much caught up to us when the drillevator was mining through some super dense rock, we were dead either way.
The P-2 ultrakill track fits so well with the situation 😭😭
