Richard mille is very hyped yeah they're cool watches but the "engineering" isn't an excuse for the price the finishing is awful the movement is innovative but there's watches for a 5th of the price that's better 😁😎👍

I love this piece and I absolutely highly rate Richard MIlle. They are always innovating and pushing the boundaries to another level each time.
These watchmakers get bored making the same pieces hence why they only produce a limited amount and move straight on to their next crazier project.
They blow my mind and RM is here to stay in a big way!!
So many aspects of this Brand are polarising, both in the marketing and engineering. Whatever your view on these it is undeniable RM is on another frequency altogether. Thanks for the review of a piece most of us will never seen in person! Great content as always!

Don't think head of a bull, think skull of a bull. Look directly at the front of the skull. You'll see it. The engineering is cool. I'm always talking engineering to my friends and family that think I'm crazy for spending thousands on watches. Still doesn't make it worth 1.5 Mille though.

After almost 20 years of wearing different watches plus learning more about watches through videos like this, I still don’t understand why watches like this RM above cost so much or why anyone buys them. When you could have a proven Casio/G-Shock capable of doing and handling a lot for sure, without the sky-high price tag(s)

G shock have alway been cheap.. and that is another market .. RM is just marketing expensiv shit to rich people so they can get a boner.
I agree with king, cool watches, materials,innovative in shock protection but the movements are average. I think they are not going anywhere near A drop off but 15 years from now will be interesting. As a collector for many years I see a lot of other amazing brands with deep history and complications for less then 1/4 of that cost for the upper tier RM’s.

Think about the adjectives here…Ronald McDonald, Happy Meal, checkout lane at Target, underwear strap, toy, play dough, etc., and all appropriately capture our thoughts. Now, do you really think the hype is sustainable? RM will crash, not if but when…think DeLorean not Ferrari!

I don't get why people always talk about patek like its the perfect watch. Yes they are good watches but with steel watches like the nautillus and aquanaut imo they can't be considered the industry standard for high end horology.

Brands like A.lange & Soehne, and independent watch makers like Fp Journe, De Bethune or Philippe Dufour (there are plenty of lesser known independent watch makers, too much for me to name in a youtube comment section), but Patek just seems to be known as the greatest watchmaker of all time when even though they have incredible watches and an incredible history they are not the best watches, with some of their models also being popular only because of marketing. However I would love to own a Patek perpetual calendar any day of the week

The answer is because it’s a “hype” watch. And RM legitimately is ridiculous and pushed by non AD’s to make profit to the point of ridiculousness. RM puts nonsense movements in a lot of their watches that can be found in equivalent $4k watches. RM just like Hublot has very little horological history. So why the support. Money that’s why. Good luck spending money on the new “Jacob watch”.

Many people don’t realize that, when Richard Mille started in the early 2000’s! The Calibre movement was made by Audemars Piguet, a lot of Richard Mille Watches, have AP movements! If it wasn’t for AP, Richard Mille, would have never existed!

In about 75 years some one will walk into a goodwill and buy this watch for about $12.50 and find out it is worth about $12million and probably will be upset because it is not quartz.
Franck Muller had some very special, rare, and unique watches as well. And Richard Mille has some watches that are less special and unique than the Nadal. Eventually; RM will be less desirable and valuable than now (IMO).
I always noticed Rafa wearing the different RMs and the head of the bull is the representation of Rafa’s logo (a bull) which looks almost same as this shape :) so Ram wanted to represent the country and rafas logo … very cool looking

Over priced, over hyped…the popularity will die when celebrities find a “new flex” to chase. Not to mention that most RMs, not all, are quite hideous and those that are not hideous are awkward looking timepieces at best. I greatly respect the RM genius marketing (specifically building the hype around the brand)….that’s the real story, not the watch/engineering/horology.

There's absolutely no way one can justify the cost. A hyper car has more engineering in just one suspension component than an entire RM. They are just capitalizing on new money, The brand wont have the same appeal in 20 years time and the values down the road I bet will reflect it. If the charged only 40k, no one would really care. People buying these aren't truly into horology, rather anything that is "exclusive" and absurdly expensive!

Rich people are always looking for ways to stand out from the crowd, doesn't matter if it is RM watches, fine jewelry or simply an insignificant looking painting (that no ones really knows what it represents), if it commands insane amount in pricing, they want it, period.

Think of the ACTUAL engineering you can buy in a Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini for less than half the cost of this silly thing. Absolutely makes zero sense and I have no doubt in 10-20 years these Richard Mille’s won’t be selling for a fraction of what they are now.

Not a Richar Mille fan I wouldn’t buy it if I could get it for a $100. I can respect the innovation and the quality of materials but not for me.
The average G-shock watch can withstand 5,000 Gs. Doubling that isn't that big of an engineering feat and neither are their movements, which you can get the SAME movement in some of the Milles as you can in a $1,200 Maurice Lacriox. If you like it, or are pressured by social media, then I guess get it. If you have them to sell on the grey market, dump them as soon as you can for as much as you can. Good things come to those who wait, but not to those who wait too late and less profit is better than no profit.
