      A lot of people make the mistake of thinking you can use any pen. So I made this video to let them know you need specific pens.

    You've convinced me to buy the identipen. I've been using a Sharpie oil-based paint marker which has worked pretty well but the ink is sometimes too thick or patchy.

    THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! even after doing 8 paintings I couldn't understand why my lines were cracking even tho I was using a paint marker, even after I got different ones. I definitely see it's most likely bc the acrylic paints I have are very liquidy

      Exactly. Also if you’re using acrylic paints to color, do not use paint markers to do your lines. The lines will be distroyed. Use an oil based sharpie or a Sakura identipen.

    I really thank you for putting this up and now I'm going to order Sakura Identipens. I wanted to try glass painting since it looks like it'll be a good decor for my walls and I asked people on the internet about it but all they say is use posca pens without expalining things further. Really appreciate this!

    Thank you for showing how different pens work for glass painting. I think these glass paintings look so beautiful and wanted to try it out myself. When I looked around a lot of people recommended Posca pens so I got those, but whatever technique I used to paint - I did try the dabbing - it always smudged which was super frustrating especially when it smudged underneath a very bright color. I ordered an Identi pen now and hope they will work better *crosses fingers*

      Posca pens are THE WORST thing to use for glass art. Great for other things. But not for glass art. Oil based sharpie or identipen will do the trick.

    I have scrapped my glass painting twice (probs will be a third time) bc this vid showed me I’m using the incorrect paint pen (posca). Couldn’t figure out why the hell my lines kept smudging. It was discouraging and frustrating. thank u so much!!

    Thank you for this. I think a lot of people who use the other pens listed are looking for finer lines because paint pens don’t have Very Fine lines but they do show up well. This Identipen looks like the happy middle I’ve been looking for. They should sponsor you

    If you double layer Posca and let it dry between each layer it should stay better. And if you go over sharpie a billion quadrillion times it will look an itty bit less transparent, but do yourself a favor and use oil based sharpies, posca, or identi pen.

      Thanks for subscribing man. If you have acrylic paints and brushes in your Haul, then you are ready to do this. Now just get an identipen. (link in description;)

      Glad the info help you out. Another great one is the OIL BASED sharpie. Those are Golden as well.

    That's really handy to know, I'm definitely going to order some Identipens. I have a problem, I'm wanting to draw on glass cabochons with metallic pens. But having big problems with getting anything to dry! I've bought a full range of metallic gel pens but they are useless.

    Bro thank you so much. I ruined a KCM Naruto piece I was doing for my nieces birthday and was using posca pens. I think my biggest problem was the consistency of the paint. Everything was holding up decently until I laid down the the yellow and it was just too watery and ended up melting the whole thing lol. Thanks for these amazing tips and keep them coming!!!

    I just started glass painting and buying a bush of posca pen because everyone used it. And now I regret it because lines breaks and not stay as well... why anyone talks about that 😭 I'm using pretty good acrylic but now i have to found an oiled sharpie one or sakura identipen if I understood thank you very much !!

      Actually I’ve found out that the OIL BASED SHARPIE is even better than the identipen. Regular sharpie is trash though, lol
