    I'm really glad you didn't scrap this project, and I'm even more glad that you included how much of a struggle it was for you. I think it's encouraging for newer artists to see that even people that have been in the craft for a while have their down moments and that perseverance is key. I love the outcome and I definitely want to see the rest of the sailor senshi! I vote for Jupiter next!

    I'm so happy you decided to keep going and show the struggle. As an artist myself I'm so critical of my work. BUt when you showed that even someone as good at art as you are can make mistakes and struggle , it reminds me that's it's ok. This piece is beautiful and I'm so happy you finished it!

      Agreed !! She really is artistic.. Minori was the reason I kept on drawing and painting even though alot of people were saying that I should give it up because it's not a talent. I mean I didn't believe them since my mom always told me to believe in myself even though if worse scenarios happen in my life.. well of course I did and all of you should do too!! Minori was gifted this amazing talent and so was I. So I will use this talent for good and cherish it 💗

    I loved the idea behind the video, I loved how it turned out, and I love that Minori showed the process may not always be smooth and easy, but worth finishing regardless. Art isn't about perfection; it's about having fun creating something, and not giving up. It's okay to get frustrated, step away, and come back when you're ready, and even the artists one looks up to and admires has struggles sometimes. This video is so inspirational!

    A tip that I learned is that to avoid the smudges draw the outline on the front of the glass and color it from the back
    Dont put the outline and the color on the same side or it might smudge just like what happened when u touched the paint and didnt dry (bcs if the outline was on the other side u wouldn’t have drawn it again and u could just erase/remove the paint and it wouldn’t affect the outline😅😊)

    • @joanna48162
      @joanna48162 Год назад +9

      But then the outline isn't sealed, and it can smudge more easily🤔

    • @JayofallTrades
      @JayofallTrades Год назад +19

      You can also go over it with some puffy paint or hot glue to raise the outline so the paint floods in the outline like when making a cookie then all you have to do is wipe off the smudges in-between the outline and not the entire thing

    • @JM20111
      @JM20111 Год назад +11

      The paint is a few millimeters thick so you will easily see the outline and the paint different from each other and it will be really hart to keep the paint inside the line art. I have been following minori since a long time so I know why she doesn't do that.

    • @sassyscribblez
      @sassyscribblez Год назад +32

      as a fellow glasspainter who's doing this for a while, get other markers! posca pens are horrible and crack and smudge. what you wanna look for in a pain is an OIL based pen. or switching to painting the outlines with paint instead. sealing the lines with modpodge before painting is also an option :) theres a lot of ways to achieve a clean end result and its all about finding what works best for you!

    • @russiangirl15

And yes you should definitely paint the rest of the sailor scouts and friends. An idea popped in my head while watching this: what if you used premium vinyl with your Cricut machine for the lines? That way you don’t have to worry about smudging the lines.
    You can take your digital drawing and import it as a cut image, then scale it to the intended size. Depending on the type of Cricut machine you have, you may be able to use Smart vinyl so you can use a roll of vinyl instead of sheets. Then you can use a transfer tape roll to move it to your glass! 🤷🏻‍♀️ An idea? ❤

    It turned out so good.... and I love your message of "powering through" as it gives good energy and reminds us that ART doesn't need to be perfect, it just need to make someone happy. You made this viewer very happy watching through this project. Great video 😍❤💯

    The final piece looks incredible, absolutely beautiful. I'm glad you pushed through the struggle and finished it. The whole process was interesting to watch, I think I was most impressed by how clean the lines are on this huge drawing.
    If you decide to do more I'd love to see Saturn (of course I'd love to see them all, but considering there's 10 of them I don't think that's reasonable).

    So much effort you put into this even if you struggled. The mistakes whether big or small can mess you up and take a bit or lot of your time. Another beauty in art. The painted glass makes it stand out of this piece of glass art and it sounds like the worth of mistakes in doing it paid off. Art is not about perfection, we just live with it. Imperfections are art to me, and that is one thing that matters. This video makes me feel better about art being imperfect in many ways… ❤💛🤍

    oh my goodness it's gorgeous!!! An installation of all the sailor senshi (and maybe a Tuxedo Mask?!?) would be absolutely incredible!! Thank you for sharing the mishaps as well instead of editing them all out. It's really inspiring.

    Beautiful! Looks great from a distance, and even if you can see some mistakes close up it's still very nice. It's good to try projects and finish them even if they aren't perfect. Rarely something is perfect!
