It's funny, the more we progress as a society, the more we become close minded. The worst offense humanity has committed is the rejection of true history. We "study" history but only small, specific segments and only the bullet point events. The actual point of history, why we record it and try to learn from it, has been lost for well over a century now...

These videos are a masterclass in writing, speaking, and rhetoric, despite this man not scripting these, casually just talking (while smoking a cigar and drinking coffee no less), and not intentionally trying to convince anyone of anything. His use of metaphors, the way he conveys his points, and the absolute wisdom in what he is actually communicating are all things to be studied. There is something to be said about a good point, there is something more to say about delivering a good point well, but there is even more to be said about delivering a point in a way that the point and the manner in which it is delivered both carry wisdom.

Dewayne, I think this video is a perfect example of what you were talking about. When you mentioned Peterson and Tate, I found myself thinking "Well, I don't know about using those two in particular as examples for this because I think some of the things they say can only be said in confidence with a certain mentality." But then you started talking about strengthening one's beliefs by testing them. By that point, I got where you were going and I understood it and I agree with it. And I wouldn't have been able to let that sink in if I'd paused the video at a certain point.

There was a spiritual teacher whom I used to really enjoy listening to and I remember seeing one of his videos a few months in and he briefly mentioned something about god, in hindsight, I realise how much I recoiled at that word and began to question his teachings which eventually lead to me to stop watching him. it wasn't until I became more open-minded that I realised the depth of his words. I can now see how close-minded I was to anything I disagreed with and how quickly It was labelled either good or bad and become ignorant to the latter, it's like an automatic response that I wasn't aware that I was even doing yet believed without question.

I can accept that all the lousy decisions I've made have helped me become the kind of person I'm now fond of, but it still fills me with a sense of shame and discomfort to think back on all my 'past mes.' I often feel like I'm looking back at an entirely different person - a person I intensely dislike. And as happy as I am with myself right now and the progress I've made I'm still worried that a future me is going to look back and hate this version of myself as well. It's a cycle of thought that's been sticking with me for a while, especially now that another year is closing and it's as apt a time for reflection as any.

There is an old saying: "That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger." I don't believe that. I think the things that try to kill you make you angry and sad. Strength comes from the good things: your family, your friends, the satisfaction of hard work. Those are the things that will keep you whole. Those are the things to hold onto when you are broken.

Dog training. Maybe timely because dog training is on my mind this morning, but this is 100% true in the dog training world. I've been guilty of it so many times and I know I'm not alone. Someone who you don't agree with on training methodology says something and you instantly dismiss everything from them. Or maybe even the "meal" isn't to your liking so you're not willing to even take an "appetizer" which may be one training nugget that blooms into some piece you've been missing. Or only keeping friends with people who nearly 100% align with your own beliefs on religion, politics, etc. You just miss out on a lot by being so exclusive.
Edit to add: I paused to make this comment 3 seconds before Dewayne started talking about horse training. Haha! I was on to something.

Mate from Australia though a born Kiwi. Your the aspiration I hope to reach. The fact that you said Jordan Peterson and Andrew Tate are just people you watched and not peolle you sided with changed my perspective on anyone and everyone. Everybody is a jewel but the dirt they carry you wash off. And admire the core beauty. Thank you sir. I appreciate you.

Amen. My dad was an avid fisherman Hunterman and I love fresh Fish But never eat sushi but I love a Japanese restaurant because they have a lot of cooked stirfry dishes that are amazing the problem with American Chinese dishes is the vegetable oil our bodies are not suppose to eat vegetable oil there’s no vegetables in vegetable oil, we are suppose to cook in coconut oil avocado oil olive oil Tallow, butter Ghee etc.

    • @chasechiamulera7704
      @chasechiamulera7704 Год назад

That's not quite right. There's nothing wrong with vegetable oils. If anything, your body can take more vegetable oil than animal fat because vegetable lipid chains are closed, so they don't stick to your arteries, whereas animal fat lipid chains are open, so they will clog your blood vessels up much quicker.
Olive oil and avocado oil are both types of plant oil, for instance. What we call "vegetable oil" is typically just another word for canola oil, which is just another plant oil.

My aunt had a friend of a friend who went to China. She was running errands for someone and came across a dog vendor. She wanted to save some of them from death so she pointed to a few of them and said she wanted them or something like that and she'd be back for them later. Anyway, there was a miscommunication and when she returned from running errands they were already bagged up and prepared to be eaten. Sorry I don't have a moral to this story except maybe that learning a new language can be helpful.

I’m 34, newly single (once again), and in a hole of depression I just can’t get myself out of. I’ve told people because that’s what we’re told to do. Even though people say to speak up, when you do, nobody truly wants to help. I’m truly scared of being alone at this point yes I’m the loneliest I’ve ever been. 5 years ago I was the complete opposite,I just don’t know what happened. I should be happy, I have a clean bill of health so far, but for some reason I’m just extremely depressed. Anyway, I say all this to thank you for your videos, they bring a temporary sense of relief as I’m watching them. And these days, I treasure those moments. Happy new year everyone.

I've spoken on this many time with my team, friends, family, etc.. You cannot shut out the entirety of a person, teaching, subject, book, or anything that could help you help yourself and/or others simply because you disagree with a few things held within it. You're more than welcome to continue your disagreement, but out of respect for the the differences in the subject compared to yours, don't completely shut it out. Learn from it, grow from it, live by it or respectfully disagree....rinse and repeat.

Thanks for sharing these teachings with us. Knowledge is what we all can use more of.
I was the one who used to cherry pick my studies. I wasn't even aware of it, haha. Until one day, my health turned out for the worst. I had to learn the hard way in order to yield and be unbiased. It seemed to me at that point the ability to accept was something valuable, which not a lot of people have.
Everyone goes through their own little journey or spiritual adventure, I think. No matter how different it seems- the circumstances between you and him/her- I think we are all equal when we look at both the past we have experienced and what the future holds for us.

Good video. One thing about Pat Puckett.
He will often say that he does things a certain way. He will freely admit that there are other ways to do things but THIS is how he does it.
He’s pretty open about the fact that his way is not the only way to get things done.

If someone doesn't have what I want in life (mentally, spiritually, physically, emotionally) then they have nothing to teach me except that I do not want to be like them. I feel this way about Tate and Peterson these days, though I didn't always. I didn't used to feel that way because I wanted what they had out of ignorance - I wanted something that society had told me to want. I also wanted to be angry because it felt righteous and good. I found later that I didn't actually want those things, and the trade I had to make for that righteousness was to be a perpetual victim.
Guess I put it to the test.
    Thanks for your videos Dewayne.
