My Maw Maw used to work for Camark Pottery (from Camden, Arkansas). We had many pieces around our house that looked like the pink ashtray you have on your desk. We may have even had that exact ashtray! Thank you for sharing such wonderful memories and portraits from times past.

This is my first time watching one of your videos and I wanted to thank you for such a lovely experience! I was born in 1998 and my paternal grandparents were born in the 1920s so by the time I came around much of their home and belongings were mid century modern (as well as 70s) and your video is so nostalgic to me, I feel like a little girl again. It’s like I can feel the heft of each item and how they’re cool to the touch. I’ve been missing my grandparents so much so thanks again for helping me feel close to them in a way I never expected! Great video!

That’s so funny to hear. I was equally surprised by a sudden tingle fest one time when an ASMRtist was slowly flipping page by page through a book (no tingles) and then at the end she switched and started flipping the pages backwards. Within a couple of seconds the tingles started coming in waves. 🤔🤔 Why was that? 😂😂 Anyway, yes, I’m constantly adjusting my glasses-only because I’m wearing two pairs of gasses at the same time. 😆

I used to take orders from people and they would pay me the exact amount of dollars and change. So I would take those dollars and change (usually around $20 - $30 of nickels, dimes, and quarters) and buy a money order at a small town post office. I did this once a month. I thought I was helping them by providing change, because a place of business always needs change. Then one day, she said to me, "We no longer take over $3 in change, because counting it makes the line back up." I made a point of looking around the post office. No one else was there but me! And I don't ever recall making the line back up. Excuse me for trying to help! I know she made this ridiculous rule because of me. She was just too lazy to count it. I never went back to that post office. The next one I went to was happy to get my change.
