Hm, I like the system and understand the advantages. But there's this one question: When parking in public I currently dismount my GARMIN ZUMO XT over night or at the gas station. What are you doing in such situations with this CARPURIDE thing?
I use Samsung Active Tab 3. Waterproof, shock proof and glove friendly. Only around £350. Split screen so you can run two Nav systems for example. Also use DMD2 on it. To attach it to the bike I use quadlock and place it above the TFT screen so its nicely in my eye line. Main Nav system I use is Calimoto with Waze in the background for speed cameras etc. So much better than BMW Sat Nav / Garmin arrangement. Liked your video. Summed the benefits up nicely.
@@timpotimpo no I just have a USB cable that plugs into a USB connector on dash. When I stop and away from the bike, just remove the tab and put in the top box. Really simple but very effective.

Good review, have one question, if the sun was super bright behind you would you still see the screen??? Because I've never had a problem with my Garmin, but it would be nice to have android auto though, but only if you can see the screen in direct sunlight. Thanks
Was the screen stable in the rain? Usually the screens of protected smartphones do not work stably when exposed to water and become displaced. That's why I'm looking for a motorcycle navigator.
Hello I’ve only been using it over the last week. So it’s a bit early to know about any problems but it’s connected straight away to my phone and works perfectly every time so far.
Lovely video i just ordered my one also, just one question if i connect it directly to my bike battery is there a chance of it draining my battery ? Or does it turn off and on automatically, thanks 🙏
As long as you wire it into an ignition feed. An easy way to do that is to run it off a piggy back fuse. You can pick them up pretty easily from Halfords! Then it will turn on and off to the ignition 👍 hope that helps, all the best!
A pity they don't have a system which you quickly snap off without unscrewing and disconnecting power cables.... I have a Garmin now (which I hate, was saying that CarPlay is the way to go for bike owners for years, so would love to have one of these) and it has a quick snap-on/off system...Sadly this device does not have this... would be easy for them to make. Like, they have one which connects to the BMW GPS adapter, which solves the problem, so, If they would simply create their own adapter... which would connect tightly to the bike, this would be great
How easy is this to remove and attach if I am making multiple stops are store or other errands? (Right now I have iPhone 15 Pro Max with Quad Lock). Theft is my main concern, unless there is a way to lock it down good enough that it would take someone some time to try to remove it.
I have a 2001 gold wing. Currently I have a Bluetooth amp unit connected to the bikes OEM 2.5mm audio input jack. My iphone is connected to that BT amp via BT. Then I tap the AUX button on the bike radio and I can hear whatever comes from my phone on the motorcycle’s speakers. So with my setup, how would I hear anything from this device on the bike’s speakers?
3:25 min. that usb charger on your handlebar is it also water proof ?? I mean in rain do we have to disconnect it from the usb charger or keep it connected without any problem ??
Great review of the product but I don't see the benefit at the cost compared to just buying a quadlock wireless charger, vibration mount and case. That will work out half the price and satisfy all the issues you outlined at the start. If you use the quadlock your phone is already charging but with the system reviewed you are draining battery charge and need to find an alternative charging source instead.
I agree I have Garmin and quadlock wireless charger, vibration mount and case with rain cover. Its all connected via bluetooth and as @nicomonkeyboy said below WTF is i-play - that is not Apple CarPlay...? All it does is move everything from your phone. Some may like it but I don't see the benefits if you have a GPS and phone.
If you ride far and rely on nav, my iPhone isn’t waterproof and overheats, shutting nav down. The last thing I want to see is business calls or texts coming in while riding my motorcycle. Nobody plans to have an accident. When I do have an accident, I want to have my phone on my person, not flung from my motorcycle, never to be found in my emergency. If one enjoys a couple hour ride on familiar roads all the time, you shouldn’t need anything.
