Hi Jeff! If you want that solo effect youre showing at 4:24, but you want it with two or four cells at a time instead of one. Is there a simple way to do that? Cause when I select number of groups 2, my blackout takes the odd numbers as one group and the even numbers as one group. If I select number of groups 4 on 8 units it pairs 1 and 5, 2 and 6 and so on.
I would like to do a similar effect on a quasar q25 r2. The only mode I can get to work seems to be mode 7 and then I am not able to make any effects. Wondering if you have any insight on quasar pixel fixtures. Would love any help. Thank you ahead of time.
Hi Jeff! Is there a way to have a view on the App that would be best for busking live music? Maybe someting as simple as a single view with access to both Playbacks (cues) and Effects in one place? To expand on this, maybe a section of the screen for Groups and Favorites as well. All in one view. Thanks!
Hi Nick, not in version 1 but I think you'll find v2.0 which is just in BETA at the moment to be more flexible with the fader page that will soon connect to MIDI so you could be using your faders while accessing other pages. Try it out!
Hi jeff,i´ve got another question regarding the effects and it would be very cool if you could help me with that :how would go about recreating a similar effect the astera app provides with the layer program?for example i want a pixel running from left to right like you are doing here,,but another one with differnt size, colour and timing.like a car rig where you simulate trees passing by while you are driving.with the astera app this is quite easy to achive but how do i achive the effect in blackout with the two independent pixels runnig at different timings and sizes?i am aware that it´s not actually on pixel running back and forth but just the 16 pixels getting dimmed up and down one after another.Furthermore,i couldn´t even fit one whole set of asteras into one universe because of the large dmx footprint. With the astera app i almost always use the layer program with the tubes, because of the flexibility it gives me when for instance i quickly want just 2/3 of the tube lighting up instead of the whole thing. Is there a smart way or mode to use,to still have that functionality without having that huge dmx footprint?
Astera uses a different protocol than DMX when using their app so in order to reduce channel count you need to put the tubes in a different mode such as DIM RGB which is only 4 Channels per pixel. As for effects, we are constantly working to make it more intuitive to work with but you can run several effects at the same time. So make one effect one kind of chase and another effect another chase with different parameters
