    This looks breathtaking!!
    its really a struggle to live in an economically sanctioned country and not being able to buy this. I've always loved the GBA/GBC Pokemon games much more than newer ones and I've only played them on Emulators.
    Out of curiosity how much would this all cost? assuming you dont have a GBASP?

    This isn't my first time modding a console and this video was very helpful, but my screen keeps changing the brightness level randomly by itself... I've desoldered the wire and made sure there's no bridging on the board, but the issue persists (brightness changes in random intervals). My soldering seems fine and the brightness button does work, so I've contacted FunnyPlaying's support to return the IPS kit because I'm pretty sure I received a faulty unit... I'm also applying to return their cheap transparent shell that broke off on the right hinge after literally a handful of times opening and closing the GBA. I feel like I got ripped off 🙂

    I'm thinking about getting into gameboy sp modding... A couple questions as a complete beginner
    1) how difficult is the screen replacement and what kit would you recommend buying?
    2) if you replace the screen, do you have to replace the shell too? Or is that optional

      That’sv nice of you thank you!! Yeah def getting better at soldering. Gonna do some full board replacement videos here soon - like the Gameboy color pocket if you have ever heard. But ya Funny playing has a new battery that’s drop in. It’s essentially a mahko battery with fixture already attached: funnyplaying.com/products/gba-sp-rechargeable-950mah-lipo-maxplay-battery-mod

    In my experience modding gbasp the original charger plugs All have issues by now. So instead of going though the trouble of replacing it with an original plug. $7 to upgrade to usbc isn’t bad. Cuz on the real, who doesn’t have a usbc charger at home??

    Can you implement the LED mod and still have access to the Q12B? (Or are you limited to the touch screen adjustments then)

    • @PizzaHandhelds
      @PizzaHandhelds  Год назад +1

      The LED mod has thru holes meaning u can solder the wire over the top of the flex pcb! the fp kit doesn’t have a touch sensor unfortunately. You need to solder the wire to get OSD functions. Good luck!

      @@PizzaHandhelds He never asked again, but what he meant was: If someone doesn't want to use a new shell from funnyplaying, i.e. they want to use the original shell. Would the original require any adjustments, cutting, different pieces added on, etc... in order for the new screen to work for it.
      This is just what I'm guessing lol.
