For non-professionals who do their own nails, this is a game changer! Being able to design my nails before I put them on is awesome, and using acrylic makes the curing process even easier! You don’t even need to finagle with the LED lamp!

When I saw this video I screamed with excitement because designing is the hardest part even with solid colors because I always get it on my skin and I suck at removing it. Secondly trying to keep the nail on under the lamp I always get a bubble. I’m so excited to do this!!!

Are they as strong as acrylic or gel nails? Or are they like press on nails? Because whenever I wear press ons the plastic at the ends starts to wear away, my coffins get rounded on the ends within a week
      Are the jelly tips stronger?

After watching a couple of videos on this method and rewatching this one 4 times, I finally gathered the courage to try this using acrylic instead of my usual polygel / uv resin. I got a full set of nails on, all 10 nails, in less time than it takes me to attach 3 nails perfectly with polygel. And because I painted and did the art beforehand, I now have *the best* set of nails I have ever done in the year I have been doing my own nails 🥰 💞 I'm so happy and proud, I could cry. It was worth it to try working with acrylic despite that monomer stench.

So glad to see you covering this!! I've been using acrylic in place of glue for years!! My natural nails have a slight ski slope, and I prefer a slight downward curve like yours, Suzie. So regular glue always leaves air bubbles, which we all know is a no-no! So I realized years ago that acrylic was the answer to a perfect thick filler!

Hello from Spain, A little idea for buffing the inside of the nail tip if you don't have a e-file, if you've got an old or even new file, carefully peel the rough side from the base, then cut it into strips, and then wrap and glue it around a pencil or pen, and it works just as well for buffing, and it fits just right. Love your videos as always. Xx

Late to the party but I've been doing this for a while and had a massive light bulb moment today. I love a French manicure but I suck at painting the tip. I can do it with a French tip sticker but they're rubbish on top of gel polish. So here was my brainwave: paint just the French part on the full cover tip, then use your pink/nude acrylic to adhere and that gives the nail bed colour 🤯 This could be a really helpful video, if you fancy giving it a try Suzie 😁

I love how thorough you are with everything she wasn't that thorough when she did her set and said that she was using acrylic but you're always so thorough I tried it with acrylic and it actually lasted a pretty good amount of time and I bite my nails worse than Grant.

I just love your videos Suzie. I find them so informative. I am scared to try the acrylic with monomer. You make it look so simple. Can’t see what’s coming up next.

This was a great video. I have tried it before but it didn’t work. After watching your video, I completed a full set using this method today. I am in love with this method. Will be my only method from now on...

I do this with press ons from Ali express. They’re not gel, just plastic but I paint them with regular polish and then glue them with Kiss nail glue. They last a week or two and look real. Love them!

Nice. That sounds interesting. I have some sculpted Apres full cover tips and since they are sculpted, I am thinking that poly gel may help fill in the space from the C-curve.

Oh Awesome! Now remember USE very little monomer. You can save alot of money using it correctly- too much can result in not curing and discolouring - if you use way too much it can yellow -like any product

It's interesting how all nail beds are different, most people I know have the same size pointer finger and ring finger nail beds, but my ring finger is actually a size smaller than my pointer finger

    • @chaozinga

My ring finger is a little bit smaller than my index finger but not a whole size smaller lol if I go a whole size down the tip is too small and if I go the same size as my index finger it’s too big so I just file the sides down a little bit until it fits.

    I recently did this.
It’s especially great for when you have to do your non-dominant hand.
I’m totally an amateur, but I managed to have these nails on for well over three weeks.
I didn’t decorate the top, I added glitter to the powder and decorated the underside.
Then stuck it to my nail before it dried. No filing needed. No topcoat even needed, tho I did put one on for extra shine.

Of course just when I was about to give up on my DIYer full coverage journey, here comes Suzie with a method that i know will not casue the allergy I developed to gel! I am about in tears of joy because I love hvaing nails and are so self-conscious over having nubs right now.

Awwww Jamie- I’m sorry about yr allergy that sucks. Do you know what ingredient your allergic to? If you can isolate it there maybe Gels that may not have it - this opens a world of options for you

@@NailCareerEducation I'm thinking it's HEMA. The first gel adhesive i used has di-HEMA and didn't bother me. But I'm going to try the acrylic method ince my fingers heal.

In the ceramics world they call it “slip and score” when you put stuff on like cup handles, etching both sides and having a slippery substance in the middle to squish it all together 🥪 lol I keep forgetting to file the surface of my tips before applying polish and then wonder why it peels off the next day. D’oh! 🤦‍♀️

    • @Poorstargazer23
      @Poorstargazer23 3 года назад

Lol I did this too. I peeled all the color off and filed, cleansed, and painted on the tips adhered to my nail just like normal then 😅
