Every time I get something in the mail that comes in iridescent or holo packaging, I save that packaging and cut it up to use in nails like this! I've even found some of them will peel like nail foils, and I love being able to reuse stuff instead of throwing it away. Saves money, too!😘

Oh, wow! You´re killing me... these are soooo gorgeous! I had these little holo decals that are on a little sheet, and I saved the rest of the decal foil, bunched it up, and now I´m dying to try using these. I think I will do clear fullcovers with it and add some foil flakes in cyan, and then press them on with acrylic. Sooooo sooooooo breathtaking!

Hi suzie, I’ve been watching you videos for a while and I love all of them. I really wanted to sculpt my own nails but I was nervous of acrylic so I thought I would start with a hybrid gel instead. I struggled with dual forms, they just wouldn’t stay on my finger long enough to cure. So I tried paper forms, and for my first time I was very happy with them. They are not perfect but with practice I’ll get there. I credit you for my success, thank you and keep doing what ya doing 🥰
Awesome I love to hear that you loved Forms. Forms are a little more difficult but they will get the best custom now and look the most natural. Again they are hard to do but once you get it you’ll have the best looking nails good for you you made my day
En Vogue make a gelly builder gel, so if you keep your layers really thin, you can build the structure with the gelly builder. 💅 I did this technique in the summer, using Chrome powder as well. Love it so much, I might do this for my fall set. And try incorporating sharpies into the design. 🤷♀️

Gorgeous look! If I was to do the first steps with gel do I place the foils in while wet and then cure under a light? I would be afraid, the gel wouldn't cure under the non-transparent bits. Or do I place the foils on the sticky layer?
I bought these things.... I didnt try em yet. But when I searched, it was under aurora film. So they're just like the holographic aurora film(foiI). I cant wait to use them ❤ bc this film creates the most beautiful glass like nails.❤

You can roll the cellophane or tinsel into a little ball between your fingers before cutting up and it gives it facets for light to bounce off of. I did a similar thing for a dimensional design that called for mylars. I didn't have any and couldn't wait so I used the cellophane wrap from a $1.00 balloon weight at Target.
LOL, I just bought a balloon weight with the iridescent effect wrap at Walmart for the SAME reason! I snipped it into tiny flakes and have done an accent nail with them tonight using uv gel. Will try Susie's method next. Going to her store to check out her acrylic products.
If you like that, there is a kind of stuffing that you can get. Its a bit like the long spiral shave when you watch wood turning. I got some last year, thinking of 'unicorn hair' to maybe make a crystal wand (run the long string of aurora string in the middle) But its fairly cheap stuff called 'hamper shred' on the label I have clear and red colour. It looks really crystal like inside acrylic (I made a couple of rings with it inside hard UV acrylic resin) Tiny bits of that might also look good in nails, if you combine it with other stuff.

I love everything you do. I don’t do nails but I get ideas and learn what I can do for inspiration on my tumbler cups I make and resin art.
