Suzie, don't be so shy about sharing your pricing! I think that's great pricing, especially for all you do for your clients! You and your techs all work so hard to create the best nails you can for your clients and you deserve to be compensated for that :)
Becca Cherry the salon i go to isn’t nearly as talented as suzie, and their customer service is most definitely not as good and i usually pay $50 for my nails. so i think the prices are ridiculously low for all that she does, i’m actually amazed
I would be beside myself if I found a local nail technician with half of the expertise, passion and charm Suzie has. What an extraordinarily talented woman she is.
I dont do nails but I'm obsessed with these videos and learning so much. I've always had passion for helping others feel beautiful and you put your soul into it, it's amazing ❤💚
misslori66 agree with you. Some nail techs in my city are getting out of control with this. They charging 15 dlrs more to remove someone’s else work before getting a new set and you force to do it other wise you will not get a service
If it's not their work and they don't know what products were used I'd better remove the whole set and do it from the beginning to know how long they should last, because if as a nail tech you're giving for eg. 2 weeks when a client can come to you and get a nail repaired if something happens, if there's someone elses work underneath you don't really know if they're gonna last as long, especially when you see a bad built nail you know that the previous nail tech doesn't know what the proper gel nail structure is, so you can also assume that she/he also doesn't know how to properly prepare natural nails etc. I hope I explained something to you 😊 also english is not my first language so if there's some mistakes feel free to correct me 😁
It really depends on various things. In one place I worked we only did gel nails and charged to remove only when it was acrylic basically because of the smell and other things. If people entered with gel nails already we will try to remove almost everything, but didn't charged, because it could lift and not be our fault as a nail tech. However, in the last place I worked the owner wanted to charge for remove everything (even gel polish) because didn't wanted to people go somewhere else (yes, It wasn't a nice person but 🤷). So not always is because we're "picky", we're trying to give a good service that last long enough.
@@amezfires9247 to why we charge or why we need to remove material? In the first case, it was more something they were informed by the receptionist, so it wasn't my problem. In the second case, yes, I feel that is important to tell the client why you consider this is the best for their nails
This is a question for CAMERAMAN... her audio is so good with the mask on...where did you put the mic...and was it wireless? I'm a TV producer here in NYC and I'm impressed!!! Suzie, the nails looked amazing... but I was shook when you spoke during the masked part and your audio was soooo clear! *edit this was around 4:59
Hi Vikki, Thank you for your kind words. I don't use wireless in the nail studio as I prefer the sound of a super cardioid mic. The mic is placed over and in front of Suzie's head - just out of frame. My background is as a sound editor/sound designer, so I use a somewhat complex post production signal chain for the mics - that helps create the clear sound.
Nail Career Education we can tell!! You are so enthusiastic in every single video and your personality is absolutely splendid. I have never even had my nails painted before, but I find your videos incredibly inspirational and mesmerizing. Amazing art :) you’re awesome.
Hi Suzie I love your tutorials. I started doing my own gel nails 5 years ago. I enjoy pampering myself and thanks to your videos I now get anywhere up to 8 weeks wear before I need to redo my nails. In the past I would have the gel pop off or lift but now I don't get a lot of lifting which is good. I credit you to me improving as you explain everything so well and it's been so helpful. I started using polygel 12 months ago and I love it. I get strong nails and find it easy to use now. Thanks Suzie xx
It’s soooo relaxing watching Suzie apply the acrylic beads on the nails. And the filing process. She’s sooo great at her jobby (job/hobby) 😊💅 Jenna brought me to this lovely channel a couple years ago.
Hi, Suzie ; firstly Thankyou for giving your time to assist people who are either new or accomplished nail technicians... Your mellow voice takes away some of the fear that we all have at some point... Too, your educational system... Thanks... I had finally saved enough to purchase your acrylic kit; slow monomer, also recently your Primer & Dehydrator set... I am excited to get a start on using them... When I received my order I was a tad disappointed that there wasn’t a greeting card from you 🙈... Perhaps a thought for the future 😊... Thanks again, SHEZ 🐨🦋 FROM AUSTRALIA
I just started doing Gelnails myself because Suzie has been such an inspiration ❤️ I'm envious of every costumer who has the opportunity to be given a nailset by Suzie😍 I'm also doing them myself since I wouldn't be able to afford to go to a Nail tech every week😂
😍 Absolutely beautiful Susie. 😍 You are really truly the best & I love that Liz is in this video as well. She's one of my favorite guests on your channel...💯💖 #GreatVideo 💖
Hi Suzie, I just want to say a big thank you for all the video's you post & for all the information contained in them. As a trainee nail technician I find all the information so valuable, I spend a good couple of hours near bedtime soaking up all the information posted. I am a addict to these videos. It is a fantastic place to be. So thank you again for your input on my journey into the nail industry. 😊😍❤️💅🌞🤩
I love you work and spending my recoup after my operation resting watching you and not feeling guilty for having to have someone else to do my house work, thanks for sharing x
Suzie is a nail goddess , such a Pro and a true joy to watch. Thank you for your videos.👍❤️ the beautiful chrome pink looks beautiful against her skin tone.
I love a good, healthy nail renovation! Thank you Suzie! I also love when a nail professional uses a face mask. I really believe face masks are important to preserve the lung health of any nail professional when fine particulates are in the air everyday, multiple times a day with multiple clients. I realize that a mask isn’t great for sound quality, but I worry about anyone exposed regularly to fine particulates in the air when buffing or shaping with a file or e-file.
🥰 I love this! When I began to “come out” the first thing I did was begin wearing nails that matched our cars. Black or a deep blue metallic. Then to holo colors and dichroic style paints. Today I do full acrylics but still love my color pallete based on car paints. I have mauves and fuchsias added to things but love them to be metallics or jellies.
Love that colour chrome i have that exact colour it is stunning. I was wondering if you would ever come to South Africa? you are very well known here amongst all the nail techs here we would love to meet you and maybe you can even hold a training session here while holidaying now that would be great.
Watching this is 2022 and I'm like, I miss Liz!! She's so sweet and funny! I wish you could bring this style of video back! I love watching you work and I love your discussion about pricing at the end.
Suzie your amazing, I never get tiered of seeing you making nails, I am a beginner myself doing nails, but I been going to get my nails done for 20 years, so I do have some understanding of all that it supposed to be done. But you are one of my favourite RUclipsr nail expertise. Thank you so much. 💅💅💖💖💋💋
This was a very educational video thank you so much Suzie. Sometimes I find myself spending so much time on renovating my nails. This gave step by step guidelines on how to go about a renovation. Love your designs
Thanks for sharing your pricing info! I started watching your videos because I've always lusted after beautiful nails. You taught me to do my own acrylic, and directed me to some incredible gel artists as well (Liz especially). I'm not a professional, but so many people here and on Liz's channel are trying to get their careers started and so few people are willing to share the financial side!
Today I discovered a good friend of mine and I both enjoyed watching your videos in our spare time because you are so awesome. You are my not-guilty-at-all pleasure! 😊
Oh my gosh they are so pretty. I reckon I'd trust you implicitly to do my nails as you see fit, but I like how you know your client so well that you'll tailor what you do to them perfectly.
Beautiful job on your client's nails! You shouldn't worry about wearing a mask Suzie because the audio is so clear! Kudos Cameraman! I thought the price for the work you did was very reasonable. That seems comparable to salons here in the states that do similar work.
I’m sooooooo glad you posted this video! I’m a huge fan of Naio Nails channel because I love watching the process, but I love learning from you and ur channel... now you posting client videos.... omg I’m dead!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Sharing your pricing is probably very helpful to learning nail techs, Suzie! They can see the quality of product and work you do, and apply that to their work and pricing! Another beautiful set 💅🏼 if I ever get my dream to travel to Canada (I’m from the UK) I’ll be hitting Suzie up 📞😂
I've watched this video or I should say tried to watch this video like 6 times now. Out it on before I go to sleep and as much as I wanna watch I can't help but fall asleep, Suzie you're too calming and soothing to watch and listen too. Thanks for always helping me sleep! Never stop creating amazing content ❤️❤️
This sounds kinda cheesy and iconic, but every since my mom helped me grow out my nails, I've learned a new passion for nails and everything involved with them, and watching these videos inspires me to pursue my dream of being a nail tech, so thanks Suzie! ❤️
I was never a fan of nail art but... You inspired me to learn acrylic nail art. And I love it. I did really well for my first time because I watched your tutorials! ❤️❤️❤️
I know youll probably never read this but watching your videos makes me so happy. I have gotten a nail kit from sallys and been trying to do some acrylics. I made my first sculptured nail today! Im honestly proud and can't wait to keep working. I only could do it because of your videos. Stay amazing. ❤
I love listening to and watching Suzie's videos always before going to bed, just like my own dose of ASMR for the day haha! Love your voice, so relaxing!
Absolutely Beautiful! Amazing how you can transform those nails into something that nice.. It's a great feeling and good job!! I watched your video on Chroma dust and ordered it the next day!! Thank you Suzie your the best!!
I am completely obsessed in your videos 😍 I definitely am a people person and I love helping others! I've dubbed you my RUclips grandma and I adore you!
You do amazing work Suzie! Where I live they charge $5+ to remove old polish, $5+ per nail to repair/replace nails, $50ish for the fill itself which usually looks pretty lousy.
I absolutely love the design you come up with Mrs. Suzie and your apron is awesome luv I love it you always do such an amazing job thanks for sharing and showing much love always xoxo 💅💕💕💕
I love your videos! 💕 I'm from Brazil and acrylic nails are not very popular around here 😓 people still prefer natural nails... But I have to say it would be a DREAM having my nails done with you! Your work is amazing! Xoxo
I never get tired of wearing or doing chrome nails !! That color is gorgeous and looks so good on her hands 🩷🧞♀️…even 5 years later it’s still so pretty 😂
OMG, that chrome! I need it in my life, I'd order it right now if I wasn't buried in vet bills. This is such a stunning set of nails and if I'm honest I think $70 is pretty reasonable given the time, skills and products needed to create this look. I currently have 4 weeks growth on my gel overlay that I need to fill. Normally I do it every 2 because I'm learning I still get a bit of lifting (I hit my skin a bit) but I've not had time. My guinea pig has been very sick & I've been having to hand feed her 4 times a day. The hand feeding formula has stained my topcoat an attractive hay green lol. She's much better now and I'm doing my own nail reno tomorrow...I think I'll use my blue chrome after seeing this video!
Try ali express for nail art it's great and cheap, you can get chrome just like that for 60p,70p. Just Google ali express and you can also get a cash back app too.
@@patriciagallacher6741 That's true, but I have no way of verifying if a product is cruelty-free or not when buying from Ali Express, Amazon or Wish. I don't buy any unknown brands from them.
They look gorgeous!!! My husband is also a Classic Car enthusiast, rebuild his own cars, so we are off to Graaf Reinett a village in the middle of no where in South Africa for a classic car show! So I was told to bring drinking water with cause they have a bad drought. So I got the Idea to make a new set of nails resembling bubbly water! Hope it brings the people some luck and bring rain! ps love your cat!! 💝💅
I just realized that camera man makes me dance with the music he puts in your videos suzie hehehe 😂 your videos get me so happy i wish i could meet you
Actually, with gel top coat, and all the fancies, it would probably be 50 at a decent place. However, I find nail techs are usually not as perfect, considerate, or careful as suzie
I’m in Pickering, On and you get anywhere from $25-$110. It depends on the salon, techs skill level, and products used. The brand new salon nearest me is promoting $50 dip nails (refill) and $75 gel (refill) 🤷🏼♀️
I have learned so much from you... and I don't do nails :) the videos are fun to watch and you have a great way of explaining things. it's like watching Bob Ross 🎨🖼 but it's Suzie with nails 💅🎨
I got a horrible looking nail(with tip) that not shaped will(no curve and flat) and no design just two layers of gel nail polish and this damn nail 'design' cost me $50 dollars(US). I am so disappointed. Suzie, would you open a nail salon at Santa Cruz, plz.
Can you do a video on thin natural nails? I have paper thin nails and I haven’t been able to find a technician that won’t buff them too much. I’ve started doing some nail care at home but I’d like to start doing my own acrylics. How do I go about nail prep and care without damaging my natural nails?
She has at least one video solely on natural nail prep and in many of her videos expressly notes natural nail care/prep. Opt for an orange stick (wooden stick) for cuticle pushing, never use a high grit file on the natural nail, etc. ruclips.net/channel/UCTldDNXS4GeChcmwm55mXYQsearch?query=prep
Hey Susie I live in Vancouver and I’d love to come to your salon next time I come to Victoria 🥰 I’m guessing you can do ombré nails I’ll try to find a video of you doing beautiful ombré. I can’t wait to come visit 🥰
"Can you get a good shot of that, Cameraman?" Darn right he can. Amazing camera work, as always.
I love ❤️ to watch your show thanks 🙏 for your education 🌺🌺🌺♥️
And a round of applause for Cameraman! Best video and audio editing on RUclips! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Without a shadow of doubt. He's amazing.

@sandy M Likewise on the learning aspect.
Pricing is MUCH more reasonable than I thought. Now, how do I get to Canada every 4 weeks? Lol
$70 for nails that look like that? Look out Suzie we'll be be booking trains to come see you from down here in the US. Beautiful!
Yea but that's almost 100$ once you get your american money changed over
Lauren Hibbitts Actually, $70 Canadian is only $50 USD.
Lauren Hibbitts did you just guess instead of actually looking it up? 🤣🤣🤣🤣💀
Lauren Hibbitts as a Canadian you made me laugh

Neko Chan me too! I wish I had back all the money I wasted at the crappy salons I have been to.
I didn’t even notice how long it was, till it was over.... and still wanted more.... greedy... lol 😝 love 💕 you
Ikr, me too 😁
Just Jessy 😂🤣
That purple is PHENOMENAL!
Beautiful work like always😍 Nothing gets me in a good mood like a Suzie video does!😊
They look gorgeous!!! 💝💅
I just realized that camera man makes me dance with the music he puts in your videos suzie hehehe 😂 your videos get me so happy i wish i could meet you
Such a beautiful chrome color! I love this set!
70$ I wish that would cost $110 here in Ontario 😭😭
Eddikka Youngs where are in Ontario, London Ontario it would be 40$
Actually, with gel top coat, and all the fancies, it would probably be 50 at a decent place. However, I find nail techs are usually not as perfect, considerate, or careful as suzie
It would definitely be around, if not over, $100 in Toronto
I’m in Pickering, On and you get anywhere from $25-$110. It depends on the salon, techs skill level, and products used. The brand new salon nearest me is promoting $50 dip nails (refill) and $75 gel (refill) 🤷🏼♀️
I agree
I have learned so much from you... and I don't do nails :) the videos are fun to watch and you have a great way of explaining things. it's like watching Bob Ross 🎨🖼 but it's Suzie with nails 💅🎨
Liz was so sweet! this set came out beautiful Suzie! 💓
I wish I could learn how to do nails from you, I'm in Ottawa and would just darned love to meet you
I got a horrible looking nail(with tip) that not shaped will(no curve and flat) and no design just two layers of gel nail polish and this damn nail 'design' cost me $50 dollars(US).
That is a Beautiful set of Nails.
OMG that purple chrome is such a glorious colour!
