Nice review. Awesome plane. I have the 8s version cause for grass ops, which is pretty much required. Love it so much i have 3, one for static display in my office. You briefly touched on it, on the elevator I highly recommend changing out the servo and push rod. I had one crash on coming out of a nice lazy loop, and it went down hard. The elevator pushrod was bent pretty good, which forced the elevator in the down position. The servo i discounted at first because of the crash, of course, it was loose. Afterwards reading about alot of comments about the elevator. I went ahead and installed a Hi Tec HS - 5245 MG servo with a Du-bro 601 4-40 Spring steel quick link and 440 threaded rod. Oh and i just because went and epoxied the fuse together with the tail instead of just using foam tac. Yea overkill, but it's piece of mind. The elevators have amazing throw capability if you want cause they are huge. Other than that, great review, you will love this plane.
Brings back memories. Served in the USMC and worked on the F-4 as a fire control technician. Attached to VMFA-542 from its formation at MCAS El Toro, its deployment to Vietnam (April 1965 to Dec. 1965) and its disbandment at MCAS Iwakuni. As far as the model F-4... I find these EDFs just a bit too fast for my near 80-year-old eyesight and reflexes. 😢😊
Great job on your review! Thanks for posting. Good to hear the latest 90mm motor combo is doing the job well. Btw, I didn’t catch your average fight times with your setup & flying style. Otherwise 👍🏾
I have the high perf version, 8S and shes a winner. Very stable bird on all axis. But, true to the full scale, get too slow and its game over. Once she departs, its too late to recover.
I love this Phantom, and it's going in my hanger. I have one question. As for visibility, do you think the CAMO scheme will show up better than the Ghost Grey scheme on days with little visibility, and gloomy, cloudy days?
@@Connorhola Okay, last question. For some reason the Freewing T-45 Goshawk High Performance 90mm is catching my attention. A friend of mine that flies at the same club I do is tempting me with it, he has one of the older versions and swears by it. States the new V2 is the bomb! I really like the F-4D but the CAMO color scheme.
Outstanding review and flight. Love the FW F4, have 2 of them now. PpJust finished an 8S Jolly Rodgers: ruclips.net/video/o6u_Mst3XW4/видео.html And coverted older F4 Blue Angel to 8S. ruclips.net/video/eZSrFPS9Fz0/видео.html 6 minutes on SMC HiV 5900. 😊 For grass ops, the way to go. The 8S likes it balanced at 200mm, were 6S was better at 195mm. 🤔
SMC is definitely the battery of choice for EDF's. Used to fly the 6S F4's on either the SMC 6200 or even better (lighter weight) on the 5900 HiV if your charger can go to 4.35 V per cell. The F4 Blue Angel is spectacular, a great scheme, you can see mine in the 2nd video above. Callie graphics, an easy repaint. 😊

Nice review mate. Enjoyed your approach. Clear precise and lots of info/suggestions/opinions. Looking forward to more vids 🍻🇬🇧
I have so many other jets that I plan on making reviews on!
Awesome review, flying and photography! I love being able to see the jet actually fly!
Thanks man!
Beautiful flying

That’s awesome! I would kill to get up close and personal to a operational F4. Glad you found my video!
Nice review young man
Thank you old sir!
Nice review!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
You're video was helpful in my decision to get one. That, plus I had a Viper 90 motor and ESC laying around. Lol
I should mention, on a hard landing, my elevator servo and one main retract servo fell off. There was no glue on those servos!!
That power system is excellent. It would do really well in the airframe.

Whoops totally forgot to include that I am landing at three minutes and 20 seconds of useful throttle time!
Very well flown great review
Thanks!

Nice review. Is this the F4 Phantom ii from freewing?
@@ricosetamafella yup!
Would you mind sharing your flaps settings of the Freewing F-4 please? From your NX6

Honestly, I’m not 100% sure the gray is not super difficult to see during cloudy days, but the camo might pop out a little bit more
@@Connorhola Thanks! I like the look of the CAMO, plus it has a contrasting white underbelly.
@@davidgerlach1132 reverse thrust is definitely an option, but I am only running six channels so I do not have it plugged in

You showed the CG location but do you know what’s the measurements? Book says CG at 190mm from the leading edge of the wing
Yep, that corresponds to where I pointed out on the bottom of the wing
@@Connorhola cool!! Thanks 🙏🏻
Why delete the f18 video? I found it pretty helpful?
I am going to redo it later on. I didn’t feel like I got enough flight footage. And the video did not turn out as well as I hoped it to.
But don’t worry! I have around 10 other large scale EDFs that I need to do videos on!

I definitely need to invest in some SMC batteries but I am tempted to paint mine as the blue angels! And thanks for yhe feedback back!

good video....but...just curious, you have the down votes deactivated on your video, dont you like feedback???
Actually, RUclips made it so you cannot see the amount of dislikes on a RUclips video
