I'm sure you could do an hour-long video about all the times e.l.f. has betrayed us by discontinuing favorite products. (I'm pretty sure they're discontinuing the Ride or Die lip balms. It looks like the Sheer Slick lipsticks are coming back this summer, though!) And I completely agree about indie shadows. When Sydney Grace (among others) is out there making incredible shadows, why do I need ND or PMG?
SG is the hero we need, but not the one we deserve
I’m so with you on over priced eyeshadows. When even the BG’s on RUclips try Sydney Grace’s formula- they are blown away. I recall watching Mel Thompson say that if she had to choose between PG and SG? She’s going with Sydney Grace, all the way! They are beginner friendly and no one can consistently make such stunning matte and shimmer formulas! I felt so validated by that.
Elf does appear to be hit or miss, lately. That being said, I’m head over heels in love with their dupe of the Hollywood Flawless filter and their latest lipstick line. The O Face lipsticks are a dupe for the latest Nars lipsticks. They’ve done such an amazing job of making these 2 products. I’m saving at least $60 by purchasing their version of these 2 items alone. Much appreciated❣️🙏❤️

Hard disagree about Natasha, sure her big palettes are SO not worth it, but the midi and mini ones? YES! Like what else is better if we talk about many formulas and great colorstories for under 70? (way cheaper on a sale) I guess blendbunny is cool if we talk color for cheap but Natasha's take on color and neutral palettes are beyond welcome in my collection.

I agree with your assessment of these comments/brands. I personally have good luck with ELF and with ND mini eyeshadow palettes. I love my indie shadows the most, I can't go back to mainstream now!
Indie shadows are where it's at!
I got a tom ford quad just out of curiosity on sale. A lovely neutral colour story, and "only" for 35 eur. Still I don't know if I'd get another one- maybe one in the wet and dry formula, but that's it.
I have an outlet near me that sells TF and I've felt tempted

i'm STILL mad i drank the kool aid and bought a Natasha Denona palette. i like my ''cheaper'' stuff and indie stuff so much better, at this point im keeping that thing out of pure spite
Awkwardly, ND had a massive sale and I pulled the trigger on a palette so... guess I'll find out if I'm a sucker or not

I own the Glam palette and mini retro, and mini retro is just okay (I haven't used it a lot tbf, since I love bright colors and indie singles), but im pretty sure the glam palette is MAGIC. I can't seem to mess up when I use it
It's not a bad color story, I just have infinity cool tones already
