I had both! It was quite painful when I decluttered them! The quality was decent enough and it was fun using both. I also liked how CS linked their hot pots to the 252, so you could get a larger size of any of those colors. RIP to CS and the 252!

Everything is expensive now. A sandwich at Subway is $15 now. This is the direct result of voting for a party that locks down the country, cuts energy production, and is all around bad for business. Stop voting for Democrats. Don’t listen to any individual politician’s rhetoric. Look at the results. Stop voting with your hearts and start voting with your brains. everything you've said is correct!! of course there will be people who get defensive without even watching the video, because self-diagnosis is being more accepted when really it should be a sign of how bad access to healthcare and education is. idk why but it feels like so many "trends" like detoxifying and "wellness" are always targetting young women in a hope that they will get worse at critical thinking when it comes to the beauty industry. if we learn to think critically about it, then we can clearly see that a dermatologist's expertise is more likely to get it right over self-diagnosis/strangers on the internet (plus actually have the access to prescribe/do tests). obviously there are a lot of issues with healthcare, there are also a lot of times dermatologists or doctors may get it wrong. that's obviously an issue, and healthcare can vary a lot by country. but the statistical chance is that you are *far* more likely to get it wrong from self-diagnosis. people are statistically unreliable on evaluating themselves correctly. never mind not spending years/decades in a medical background. the only point of getting a diagnosis is to get treatment or know what is the best approach. without that, it's a meaningless label. plus, you could spend even more money with products in the beauty industry through trial and error, that have very little scientific trials to back up what they claim. also, i can't believe it costs so much for epiduo in the US!! i'm in the UK, but in scotland. i am about to go to the pharmacy to ask for more epiduo as it had run out, and they will prescribe this to me for free! the scheme is called pharmacy first here, so it's only certain things the pharmacy can prescribe without a doctor prescription obviously like acne medication. but all medication here is free (unless someone bought it from a private pharmacy online, which would be silly to do lol). even private pharnacies in england, epiduo is £30/$38. i was thinking how expensive that was until i heard you say how much it is in the us lol.

I mean seriously $37 for a 4 shadow mini pallet or contour stick. Or $25 for a eye liner that literally looks and works the same way as an Elf product, I have a problem with that. Price gouging. There are countless makeup brands that aren’t really known and tons of brand names that are known, so there are sooo many choices you got of whom to buy from. And Quality isn’t really the reason they charge so much. Cut costs of packaging down and maybe more people will buy your brand. laMer charges, what, $400 or so for their cream and justify it by saying it’s their specialty recipe blend bla bla but don’t say what’s it in. I don’t get it. Greed at its finest.

I have this and didn’t buy another eyeshadow pallet for over a decade! 🤯 A few months ago I dipped my toes back into the RUclips beauty community (where i originally learned about this palette!) and have given myself permission to purchase again. Omg it’s a whole new world! I’ve now gotten pallettes from Tarte, Huda Beauty, Colourpop, and Cliondh and omggggg. I still don’t think I can ever get rid of my 252, it served me so well for so long and I barely dented it in 15 years using it almost daily.

I just did a huge purchase on Ulta for Christmas where they do points multiplier and I have to say it is much much better to get 20% off everything and 5x points on fragrance whereas in Sephora it was 20% off full sized fragrance specifically, no fragrance sets. They do need a massive overhaul of their points system. The amount of money you have to spend to get money back is never worth it. I was quite shocked to see I had stacked $145 in points solely for buying so much fragrance especially right before the holidays when they know ppl need to buy last minute gifts. Now that’s rewarding loyalty!

I worked in Claire's Accessories in UK in 2002 - I got out of doing ear piercings by pretended my religion prohibited it, lol. Our store did not sell makeup but did have at least 12 variety of tiny sparkly top hats. Asbestos is not much of a risk for makeup consumers, but it shows terrible quality controls and disregard for production workers. All my apartments have had asbestos - my current one has type 3 in the tiling, and official advice is 'try not to disturb it' lol. It was a cheap way to rebuild after WW2 and not to fit fire escapes or sprinklers. I swear our building regulations are just one page with 'cope' in giant letters.

No no, let me clear things up, a diagnosis from a doctor COULD help, i say could because they sometimes misdiagnose with something else, it happened to me in my 12 years of Sebborheic Dermatitis journey, so yes go see doctors for diagnosis but always multiple ones. And also look out the internet AT THE SAME time. Yes internet can be confusing and misleading but it can also help with things doctors don't know about, period. And no, do not take the medications the doctors recommend because it won't do anything LONG TERM they don't know shit in dermatology except making your condition worse with antifungals, antibiotics, cortisone and immune suppressors. Now lets clear another thing this girl says : we say fungal acne because it resembles acne, not because it is. The etiology might be different it does not matter, its a way to put a name on it because it gets closer to acne than any other condition. Of course not all acne are fungal be carefull about that, ignorant people can be misleading on the internet. But yes if you have malassezia, either SD or fungal "acne" then avoiding ingredients that feed it will help a LOT. Does it cure it ? No, obviously ! But it HELPS, dont say otherwise. And these ingredients especially long chain fatty acid that make the condition worse : NO amount of "doctors" know anything about it, it's been discovered by the community from the few research available on the subject on PubMed. Fungal acne safe products helped me tons, and it is the case for a lot of people.

So it's just using the term acne for a fungal infection that's wrong? I mean people should just try an otc antifungal medication and if it works great, it was a fungal infection, if not then look into other diagnoses

I've pretty much lost interest in the IS makeup industry for a while now. There's nothing innovative, so I'm good. I have what I like and will just keep my eye out from afar.

I have been feeling like this for at least two years now. One of Mel Thompson’s last videos (R. I.P.) complained that she was disappointed with Mother Pat’s new eyeshadow palettes. She was a collector of PMG but was sick of seeing the same shades in the palettes. For $135? Why continue to purchase the same shades, over and over again? Unfortunately- the other high end brands seem to believe that if she can get away with it? They can, too… I will be sticking with purchasing from indie brands! They seem to be the only ones who have any original ideas, left. 😂❤

I'm sure the Tarte set is supposed to be split up among several people, but it's still mind-boggling how every brand is doing this. (Not even mentioning the inclusivity issue...) Parenthetically, face palettes could be great for people that don't have a lot of makeup, or don't want to think about it. People give them as gifts because they're fancy, or "you can travel with this!", but I feel like unless you have to pack really light, or the palette is the only blush you have, they don't get used. I did finish one once - from Joah - but I only had two blushes and one other bronzer at the time.

Thankfully CP has slowed their insane over releases. I don't know that this series is needed, don't do it if it's not fun. Maybe if you roasted more brands along with? The focus on them is probably giving more advertising to them. I will still buy a CP item here & there, the new shadow stix formula is really good, I like it better than elf, NYX, & Milani. I don't mind the haunted mansion color story though not buying, I have far too many palettes. Purple is my fave shadow color and I love that teal.

I watch a lot of videos in languages I am not (fully) fluent - it helps when it verbalised because I read along with subtitles whilst I am listening. Also, sometimes, I miss logos/keys/text on screen because of this. I wish that influencers would have to disclose when they are using/mentioning a product that they are in process of 'testing' for an upcoming sponsorship. There are certain brands (not necessarily beauty brands) I notice some influencers casually repeatedly mention, and I know a sponsorship/ad will happen in a few weeks/months. I do not think this *everytime* someone mentions a brand, but there are certain ones where you just... know. These brands are getting positive exposure in that time, and it is directly related to a future offer of money.

In addition to the blind/visually impaired- it helps us old geezers who can’t even see the time on our phones… 📱 I know Marlena has a lot going on but- if you don’t stay informed? Someone will pull the rug out from under you- if you don’t stay on top of the rules. Not mentioning anyone she would know..who happens to be just like someone who would do that…😅❤

Also I broke my no-colourpop purchasing rule solely for the Sailor Moon collab. The first one was cute but the names of colors and colors made no sense, and the new collection makes a little more sense color-wise but still not quite there and the names are...not at all related to the show, just like before

Hope this does not sound outta pocket, but I got the vibe that you were not enjoying this series as much for a few months. And I completely understand why. It always sticks in back of my mind whenever I think about the brand now, and I actively *hope* they do not release anything I would like. I love Sailor Moon, pastels, and purple blush... but instead of happy it is just disappointing. You should do whatever makes you happy - this is your channel! I think most people watch you for your humour/personality/insight, and all those things exist whatever you make videos about!
