Love your videos because you purchase things to decorate your house not resell stuff. While there is nothing wrong with reselling, I love to see how you use the items you thrift. Thanks for great content!
As soon as I seen the bedspread you thrifted I knew it was in my "Country Door" catalog. The regular price for the queen is $109.99. The shams are $24.99 a piece! Soooo...what a buy Julie, way to go!
Julie, if you can't get the stain out of the bed spread there is still a ton of great material there to make other things like pillow covers and table runners. Maybe even some dish towels. That's a lot of really good material. I think it was a great buy. Thanks for another fun video.
My grandmother used to use vinegar and baking soda, which removed many a sweat stain from my grandfather! I loved how most of your stains came out with carpet stain remover and baking soda! Baking soda removes a lot of stains, and is good to remove odours! I use it sometimes to remove tea stains from inside of my tea cup. Loved the photo frame, so sweet!
You find the best things in your thrift stores! I would love to find items like the ones you find. The cookbook and tea towel are my favorite. I love when you cook recipes from old cookbooks too. Thank you, Julie, for sharing with us each week! Blessings to you and your family.
I love watching your channel and all your inspiring ideas! Love seeing your sweet baby running across your comforter! I would love to be entered in your Mothers Day giveaway! So sweet for you to do that! Love that stinking cute basket and the vintage cookbook! Happy Mothers Day to you!🥰
Hello Julie. The comforter is pretty and I'm glad you were able to get the stain out. Brigham running across the comforter he is having so much fun. Love it! Our daughter bought a new vacuum like yours to clean the inside of our new Mazda CX-5 2023. She also cleans the conners of her bedroom. Good luck on winning Mother's Day Thrifted gifts. Thank you for the candle tutorial. My aunt gave me an expensive Apple Butter candle that is simply amazing the entire house smell delicious. I try finding it, but I can't find it. I will definitely make my own with my daughter. Fun Mami daughter project. She loves her infusers. This year my daughter is growing Basil and Strawberries. Today I made a Flan and my husband help open the cans of evaporated milk, Condense milk, 4 eggs and vanilla. He also helped stir the caramel after my arm got tire. Then I put it in a round aluminum tray and set it in a Mary bath to baked for 1 hour. It was delicious. Wishing you a lovely night. 🥰🌺
Love the tea cups stacked! I didn’t think of candies, I put plants in them! I also have the same issue with my cat! I’m always having to sweep it away but the broom never it’s out the grout! Using the vacuum I’m sure would work 😊
Tea cups have so many uses! I have a weakness for them and bone china. I have a tree in my garden with tea cup feeders and old stainless steel tea pots filled with nesting material. Seeing the birds makes me so happy.
Hi Julie! Love your show! I love you do it for fun and pleasure instead of just PROFIT! I get sick of that. I love to thrift for my home, family, or friends like you do. I love the homey feel of your video's.
Love the tea cup ideas. Brigham is adorable running across the comforter. My cat Marshmallow is the messiest cat I have EVER seen with the litter!! I def need one of those! Thx for sharing. Take care 💜
Speaking of linen, you got me on the look out for the Percale sheets. I remember my mom always had them, and she was always looking for quality, so they must be good! Also, i just found a star Colander and have it on a peg in my kitchen. Enjoying this video!! Blessed day to you! *I would like to be entered into the giveaway *
Love the comforter. I can hardly see a stain anymore. Great job! Great info. Funny that you showed the teacup...My Granddaughter and I made a floating teacup for her Mama for Mothers day from a thrifted teacup and saucer. We bent a fork at the bottom where the teeth joins the handle, and glued that to the bottomof the saucer...bent the handle an inch or so, and glued it to the inside of the cup so it looks like it's floating. I used a little hot glue until the E6000 dried...It didn't take long. We covered the fork with moss, then glued silk flowers coming out of the cup down into the saucer. She is so proud and excited to give it to her Mama. She's already told her she made her something Beautiful for Mother's Day. It really is pretty, and of course her Mama...(my Julie)...will love it. Once I stacked several teacups in all different directions, and glued them very tall with a ceramic tea pot, with a cute little ceramic mouse on to....for a centerpiece...for a Alice in Wonderland Birthday Party for my Granddaughter. She still has it, and treasures it. It turned out so pretty, and was perfect for the theme. I love old teacups, and love your ideas too. I would also like to be entered for the drawing. Thanks Julie, as always.
I love your videos Julie! You have inspired me to thrift and to have a good eye on prices and items! Majority of our home is from second hand stores, Goodwills and resale stores oh! And our favorite the antique mall! Thank you for all your hard work! And sharing with all of us! I would like to be entered in the contest please!! I look forward to your next video! ❤
I love the comforter/bedspread set! If it’s that noticeable, you can use Dawn dish detergent snd lightly scrub in that spot. The soak in bathtub overnight in Oxiclean. You can always tea stain the whole set snd that would be cute!
Spray the stain with LA’s Awesome spray from the dollar store! I’ve gotten out 100% of set in stains from thrift store items using it. Allow it to sit but not dry on there. Then throw it in the washing machine. Works like a charm!
For the stain on the comforter if you are still trying to get the stain out I suggest scrubbing the spot with some Fels Naptha bar soap...it takes stains out of everything...I used it on baby clothes when my kids were young...it even gets out spit up stains and ground in dirt stsins on socks
Try one cup of dishwasher detergent, the powdered type and 1 cup of dry bleach for colored clothes. Add to hot water in your washer and soak overnight. Washes as usual. I’ve use this on antique linens with really good luck
Julie, thanks for all of the creative ideas using teacups and what a precious gift that would be for any Momma 💕I’m going to be on the lookout for some teacups now! I recently thrifted 3 aluminum STAR colanders 😁 I thought about trying to make a 3 tiered hanging plant holder but still figuring out how that would work 🤔 I love your videos especially because you are not a reseller! Some of those folks get carried away!!! Like you I thrift for my family and friends but mostly for the thrill of the hunt😂 Please enter me in the drawing, thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing those sweet Mother's Day gifts. I no longer have Mothers in my life, but I do have a daughter-in-law.😊 I'll have to try one (bird feeder) for her.
This might sound crazy but if you ever get tired of buying cat litter try some cedar hamster bed shavings. I get a big bag of it at Walmart and combine it with sawdust shavings and you never have to smell the litter again. I have two cats and I have been doing this for almost a year. It's a total game changer lol
Julie, you & your thrifting ways are near & dear to my heart!!! I’ve been doing this for decades & love the fellowship, knowing we both save money, but still have fun & nicely decorated homes with fun personal accents!! Hope I’m not too late to enter your drawing!!!!
I really like how you did the plants in the colander that was really nice and then the tea cup candle. That was really nice of you to show us how make a candle in a teacup😊 and I would like to be put in the drawing 💐
I have a colander like that that I just have hanging with three others but during Christmas I put holly greenery and lights in it and it shines through the stars and is so pretty. Probably could do something for the fourth with it too!
Is so rewarding when the stains disappeared, I got me a beautiful vintage white tablecloth with a big stain , some people will pass on linen but like you said what I will lose if doesn’t come out! But it did! Otherwise I will fold it and decorate with it . Thank you for sharing your decorating ideas. I love all your finds.
Hi Julie, love your channel! You’ve motivated me to get up and get back into thrifting and decorating my home again after my stroke. Please enter me in your giveaways. Hugs from Tennessee!
I use vanish but my absolute go to is Grumme Grön Såpa. Its based on tallölja/ pine oil. Its all natural. I use ut to clean oven to stsin removal. I have got ballpoint ink on bedspread. It took me washing it a few times but it removed all of it.❤ I live in Sweden.
I would love to be included in the Mother's Day give away! I have been watching your past videos and are really enjoying them. I recently turned 60 and you have reignited my passion for thrifting! Thank you and God Bless!🎉
Enjoy watching your shopping and how you always know how to use in such a creative way the items you buy. I also admire how you take something most people would avoid--like the stained bedspread--and make it work for you. The negotiation for it was a plus! I'd love to be part of your giveaway. Thanks for the ideas and the entertainment.
I only liked the brass frame from this trip but it happens like that sometimes. I'm going thrifting today for the first time in years and I'll make sure to think about things in the buggy!
I love thrifting too it’s so exciting to find things to make our homes cozy. I agree with the Dawn dish soap too , it’s worked miracles for me. Please enter me in your Mother’s Day giveaway too❤️
I have seen coffee cup wreaths before made with vintage cups-I really want to make one. Probably there are versions on Pinterest. Loved your teacup ideas too. I always enjoy your videos!
Try a Zote bar. Amazon or Walmart, couple dollars, wet the area, scrub with bar of Zote, leave overnight. I’ve had one bar that takes every stain out, especially vintage linens, old wine, coffee spills etc. same bar for 10 years. Also, I grate up bar and use two tablespoons for a big load of wash, especially the white load, I like the pink bar and it looks so pretty in a canning with a tablespoon in the jar, also bar comes in white, smells good too.❤️ Love your channel. 14:06
HAPPY FRIDAY Julie, family, and fur babies. Thanks so much for the Mother's day Ideas. BTW Julie, I called the corporate number at Goodwill and of course there was no answer. I started reading reviews and people from all over America are complaining about Goodwill and their prices. Not to mention how no one is available to listen to any concerns. They were complaining about how rude the workers "managers" are in the different stores. Make a paste of baking soda, little blue dawn, and a little peroxide; smear on stain and then wash.
Hey Julie go yo tractor supply and get the horses pellets to use as cat liter only takes a small amount, and it really counts down on smell and not as messy.
I’m glad you said it was a clean thrift store because just the door when you opened it looked like it needed a good cleaning, and when you first went in. Sorry I’m Miss Negative Nellie but the bedspread looked bad…glad you got it a little cheaper. Maybe oxy or dawn dish detergent!
*JULIE, DON'T USE VINEGAR - VINEGAR SETS STAINS IN! Use Fels Naptha Soap 🧼 - wet the fabric, rub the bar into the stain and scrub with a plastic bristle brush until sudsy and the stains are gone. Fels Naptha soap also removes grass stains and red clay/dirt stains‼️😉👍🏼*
OxiClean MaxForce gel is the bomb for tough stains. I apply liberally and soak overnight in washing machine with All Free n Clear detergent. I also have been told that Cruc Cutter will remove anything.
I want to be entered in the giveaway. Julie I love your videos You were just such a pleasure to watch You are really sweet and although your decor is not mine there are some pieces that you do get that I absolutely love Thank you
Julie try Dawn soap and baking soda make a paste put it on the stain and let it sit for a few hours and then wash it. Love the teacup candle and herbs in the strainer so cute! Please enter me into the drawing.
I went to my small town Goodwill today. Think about it in the buggy. I kept hearing you say that. I found some great treasures. Your an amazing person ❤
I would love to be in your giveaway. I did the bird feeder but with our Panhandle wind i didnt want to hang it. I took a milkglass bud vase turned upside down, glued it to the underside of the saucer. Then took a piece of rebar( could be long dow rod), drove it in ground & set the tea cup group over the rod. The bud vase will keep it on the rod safely & you can put it among your garden plants. Love ya!
I find Oxyclean spray works great for stains I have used it on things that were washed and it works great! It’s the only thing I use for any kind of stains
Shout has been good for me overcyhe years. Gets stains out. I let it soak in for a few days on tough stains. Shout always wins. 😎 Fun video to watch-thank you!
YESS, enter me PLEASE!! Loved the lil blue & white lamp for ONE $$??!! The bedding you found is perfect, commenting before,, hopefully it cleans well. Cute idea w the cups, I have tiny ones that I may try. Happy Mother's & Grandmother's Day🌹
Peroxide and dawn!! I tried on a grease stain on my favorite sweater that had been washed and dried a few times and it came out!! I got a whole stack now of tshirts I'm going to try it on.... apparently I'm messy but only one drop at a time 😳🤣
My mother in law gave me a colander like that many years ago I love it. Love the teacup ideas you showed. That tick like cover you found is beautiful. I want to be entered into the giveaway.
Hi, I've been following you for awhile. If the stain on your comforter is oil based, try Shout & Dawn dish detergent. I've had good luck, even on clothes that I've already washed. Good luck
I love your videos, the little "give aways" you found, the coffee filters to line the colander for planting (great idea!), and yes, I would love the chance to win a 'give away" item!!
Hi Julie! Just love watching your thrifting videos. The fact that you don’t do it to resale, but for your own use makes me very happy. You have such a creative gift to turn ordinary items into something special. ❤ I have two cats and 2 golden retrievers, so fur and kitty litter are a THING in my house. The Costway vacuum would be so handy to have. The thrifted items you are including in your personal giveaway are great, especially the cookbook. Who doesn’t love a good home-cooking recipe?! Please enter me in the giveaway. Thank you for your time in making these videos, as well as all your ideas. I enjoy them so much!
I use peroxide & dawn dish soap i spray w/peroxide first then soak stain good with both let it set a bit then warsh, ive used this on old deep stains after repeated washes it has come out...hope this helps!
I love watching your shopping ventures!!! I also love how you style your new thrift signs. It also gives me ideas I love that and now I’ve been going thrift in a lot. Thanks for all your encouragement.
Hi Julie! I love your ideas with the teacups! Mama and I both love the lavender scent so I'll probably make us both a teacup candle like that. And I really love the pincushion idea. Think I'll make one for myself and put it next to my sewing machine. Brigham sure is fast! Are you able to keep up with him? LoL! You have a great day and we'll see you soon!❤👋
Hey Julie when you were making the bird feeder I had a idea to make a candle holder for the wall and put hanger on back use flame less candle would that work
Just love your channel! If you can find a product called "Zout" . It is an amazing product! My daughter got black sharpie marker and colored markers on a pastel pink comforter. It removed almost all of it!

Try dawn baking soda and hydrogen peroxide make a paste and scrub in with an old toothbrush, if it doesn't come out do it again oh by the way let it sit for a couple of hours.
Those are great give aways. So please enter me in your contest. Thank you! The blue ticking bedspread has a lot of great fabric, stockings , throw pillows, cover an old chair, etc.
Love your videos because you purchase things to decorate your house not resell stuff. While there is nothing wrong with reselling, I love to see how you use the items you thrift. Thanks for great content!
I have rubbed Fels Naptha Laundry Bar & Stain Remover on an old set in stain and it worked like a charm. I highly recommend.

Was thinking that she could make pillows as well
So... I'm the stain removal queen... what does the stain appear to be in ur opinion?
I loved seeing little Brigham running across the comforter. It was so cute!
So do I.

Tea cups are getting hard to find in the wild.. I think Julie has everyone thrifting..
Hobby lobby has granny's spot remover back where you get material cut. They usually have it sitting out in a galvanized bucket. It really works.

Julie, thanks for all of the creative ideas using teacups and what a precious gift that would be for any Momma 💕I’m going to be on the lookout for some teacups now! I always us blue dawn dish soap for all of my stains, works great. For really bad ones I pour it on straight & leave it over night then wash it.
I had that same bedspread. I loved it. I think she told me it came from pottery barn originally maybe 10-15 yrs ago... I bought it at garage sale.
Dawn dish soap. Squirt on the stain and throw in the washing machine. Be sure to hang to dry. If you out in the dryer the stain will set
Love the candles and planting herbs is a great idea ❤
The little vacuum would be great on stairs! I always fight the cord!

The bud vase will keep it on the rod safely & you can put it among your garden plants. Love ya!
I find Oxyclean spray works great for stains I have used it on things that were washed and it works great! It’s the only thing I use for any kind of stains
Julie you can use some awesome and laundry soap and let it soak in cold water and it should get those stains out of the pillow shams..
I enjoy watching your videos. I love thrifting been doing it for lots of years. Your decor is very much like mine. Love your style!
Shout has been good for me overcyhe years. Gets stains out. I let it soak in for a few days on tough stains. Shout always wins. 😎 Fun video to watch-thank you!

Julie try Dawn dish soap on the bad stains then also baking soda in the water. Really works for me. Have a nice day. Kime
Use Cascade powder dish washing detergent to spot clean with a tooth brush, then soak soak in a tub. Test first, naturally.

I loved all your mother's day gift ideas that you make yourself. The yes cups were adorable.
Funny you used carpet cleaner. I have done that and it works.

I love watching you. I know you love the Lord. I would love the basket for Mothers Day..❤
Hey Julie when you were making the bird feeder I had a idea to make a candle holder for the wall and put hanger on back use flame less candle would that work
You are just so sweet to think of others.God bless you and your family ❤️❤️
Just love your channel! If you can find a product called "Zout" . It is an amazing product! My daughter got black sharpie marker and colored markers on a pastel pink comforter. It removed almost all of it!
The bedspread is pretty 🤗love the cute flower pot you did.Thank you for the ideas. ❤🙏🏻Maxine Ok
Julie you are so blessed you have an amazing imagination And I just love watching your show I wish you could do more of them I know you're busy But God-bless thank you
Try dawn baking soda and hydrogen peroxide make a paste and scrub in with an old toothbrush, if it doesn't come out do it again oh by the way let it sit for a couple of hours.
Don’t use your dryer on the bedspread as you wash it to try different ways to clean it because that will set the stain.
Those are great give aways. So please enter me in your contest. Thank you! The blue ticking bedspread has a lot of great fabric, stockings , throw pillows, cover an old chair, etc.
Have you ever tried blue dawn dish soap on stains? It works wonders!
