it is funny that Lainey Wilson auditioned for THE VOICE and AMERCIAN IDOL 7 times each and was turned dowen every time except for her last atempt on IDOL where she was eliminated in the first round, she never gave up. Durring the season finale of THE VOICE Reba McEntire(a judge on the voice) invited Wilson to become a member of the Grand Ol Opry and that is much cooler than becoming a contestant on The Voice or Idol.
Winning on any of the tv shows is the worst thing to happen to anyone. You are stuck in their contract for years and don’t make as much as they should be. That’s why you only get one album after they win and they all disappear for years.
Chinchilla had the same issues, and she's another phenomenal artist! She was actually signed with a major label but was dropped due to covid and other issues. That label blew it.
Love this song and being from Texas, all I can say is anytime a country boy says 'just wait in the truck'... what's about to happen is a reckoning that isn't going to be enjoyable for someone.

He killed the guy without "loading her down with questions" and told her to "wait in the truck" so she couldn't even positively ID him...any girl that actually listens to these lyrics and images their brother in this scenario, they would call him a dumbass...tell me I'm wrong

There is a handgun that is called a "Judge". It can shoot both .410 shotgun shells or .45 colt ammunition. I think that is what the song is referencing, but I have been challenged by some that say it is just metaphorical.
Would a Bond Arms .45/.410 be considered a Judge?
@@jens9n The "Judge" is trademarked and made my Taurus if I recall correctly. Although I guess any weapon could be considered a Judge metaphorically.
@kylesummers1565 just is referring to making the choice to take a person's life with going to trial. Similarly to the expression judge, jury, and executioner.

Lainey Wilson's current big hit that's getting a lot of radio play is "Hang Tight Honey", but she's got a lot of other good songs like "Heart Like A Truck". She's a great singer. Hardy's got a much less serious song titled "Rednecker", but has been becoming more of a mainstay these past few years with solid songs like this.

This actually happened to one of his good friends he did 20 years the woman saved his truck for him when he got out they dated for 2 years then got married and had kids living happily ever after! He helps hardy on the road touring sometimes!

I was never a country fan until I got a little older…. The one thing that’s almost always the case with country music… Story Telling!!! Not all but much of country music is human stories, very relatable, almost everyone has been through something and country music does a really good job of connecting with people. If you listen to enough country you’ll find artists that really speak to you no matter where you’re from!

In much of the South, "He needed killing" is considered an affirmative defense :). The Judge referred to in the song is a Taurus Judge six-shot .45 caliber revolver, clearly visible when he picks it up. It has tremendous stopping power, and you want to avoid being on the business end of it.
