I will gladly and absolutely willingly go to prison protecting any woman from a piece of SHIT that abuses her whether it is someone I know or a complete stranger ! My wife would divorce me if I turned and walked away and I couldn't blame her ! I am a Hillbilly from way back in the woods of Eastern Kentucky and I will always defend the innocent and those who are being abused!!! If you abuse your spouse the person that you are supposed to love more than Life itself then you need to be delt with accordingly! With Hillbilly Justice and I think you know what I mean!!!!!!

HOG4EVER here to watch. I love Hardy too. This song always makes me cry, because I was her in my past with my 1st husband but I had my family helping me. I could tell you stories, I have PTSD from the abuse. I overcome it the majority of the time but sometimes it slips out. I refuse to take meds for it because I control it, it doesn't control me. 2nd husband tried but he learned. ❤❤😂😂

Been there too myself with my ex and like you, had family to help. I called up my Dad, told him what had been going on ( I also had a 3 mo old son too)and wanted out, family lived in AR and I was living up in Illinois. Dad drove thru the night to pick me up in the morning while he was gone to work. Unbeknownst to me at the time, Dad was packing a pistol to kill him if he saw him. Thank goodness he didn't cuz he dam sure wasn't worth going to prison. I was having dreams of killing him and I decided I'd better leave cuz I had a baby to raise and didn't want him growing up in that environment. My current hubby thinks I have ptsd cuz I'm so jumpy, etc. even to this day and it's been 30 yrs since I left my ex.

I love Hardy & Lainey Wilson won a ton of awards at the country music awards a couple weeks ago. My favorites by Hardy are 'Give heaven some hell' & 'A rock'. He used to write for other artists. Typical 'radio ready' stuff. He finally decided to use his own voice to say what he wants to say, for himself. He even wrote a song about it. 'The Mockingbird & the crow'. He used to be a 'mockingbird' for others, now he is himself 'the crow'. The song starts out like a typical country song & halfway thru, the music & lyrics change & get harder, more like rock. Good tune that kinda describes himself. He is a hell of a writer. For recommendations of Lainey's music, I like 'Watermelon moonshine' for a ballad & 'Cookin' with grease' for a sassy one.

This song just hits so hard. 7 years ago me and my buddy were just hanging out when his sister came around and told us she was going through this. Just like Hardy we didn't load her up with questions. We just asked where he's at. In unison. Just that one question. She must've known what was about to go down so she refused to tell us. We'd both definitely still be in jail right now if she did and both of us would've gladly done that time. Lucky for us she was calm and collected. She made sure HE is in jail to this day.
Waiting in the truck may be a southern thing, but the sentiment is global. People like that don't deserve to take another breath.

I honestly was getting my head together to end my life…… then my best friend called and I told him what I felt for him- the same unimaginable feelings he had for me…… I wanted to tell him all these years but didn’t want my one way to hell to involve or a bothersome thought…. He asked what the hell didn’t I even tell him through the years (from the age of 13 to 49)… I just threw it all up out of me….. he said wtf!!!! Pack your bags- I still told him no because my life was to fucked up to fix- he showed up anyway and started putting my stuff in the truck …. He asked what my husbands real name was and asked where my first husband was and a boyfriend that I was trapped in a relationship with…. I won’t tell him- God will be the judge… and I love my best friend and want to lay down in his arms every night…..

Some people say this is unrealistic. That couldn't be further from the truth. Now I'm not naming any names, and obviously nobody got caught, but I knew a couple of good old boys who looked a hell of a lot like me and my brother mumbles. One day these guys met this girl bartending at a place they hadn't been to yet when they were on a run over to a chapter across the state. Now these guys aren't exactly what you would call good people, but they do have limits. Anyway from what I heard they saw some bruises on this girl, while they were all chatting and just generally having a good time since they were the only ones in the bar it being the middle of the day during the week. They got to hearing about how those bruises got there, and simultaneously without looking at each other they asked a simple question, "Wheres he at?" If I remember correctly, this was around a couple years before this song came out. So there are definitely people out there living this lifestyle who will not stand for this kind of thing stranger or not, consequences be damned. These two particular individuals definitely weren't scared of jail as they had been a couple of times in the past themselves. Now they could have been full of shit, I don't know this is just a story that was told to me.
