    I run older Massey Ferguson tractors and old fords but for the newer tractors I have a Kubota and then just got a new Deere, hard to beat deeres financing and their good tractors, bought a 5090 in spring and have over 300 hours from hay season and have no complaints. Congratulations on the new tractor!

    Bought mine new in 2020 with the 512 loader. It has never left the farm and has 400hrs to date. It lives in B range and regens about every 100 hours. Starts good below zero. I have 440lbs wheel weight and loaded 14.9s with beat juice. Scales at 7800lbs and pretty lean on fuel. Went from red tractors to green, work on blue for a living.

    Awesome tractor! I just bought a new 5075e last week. Kubota wanted 3k more for the m7060 and only did zero for 48, zero for 84 is much better. The insurance on deere is much cheaper than kubota too. Lift capacity on my 520m loader is 500-600 more than the kubota even in the power position. I got the power revereser which is just like your m6060. Y’all gonna love it, those 3029 engines are incredible. Seen bunch with over 10k hours on tractor house

    It is amazing that lot of manufactures are producing 4wd, when a lot of work does not require 4wd to get the job done. It looks like a good tractor to run around and 95% of all the things done that you need to get done. Just keep the thing in the barn when not in use and it will last a very long time.

    • @bearkatljl

      @@khtractors I want to start with my "disclaimer" this is from 2010 when I was tractor shopping for my first tractor. At that time the Deere "E' series was actually made in India. They did not offer a shuttle, the range selector and the gear shift were very close to the seat to the point that it was hard for me to get them into gear. The tractor overall to me seemed "cheap" the heaviest part of it was the front axle (the one I was looking at was MFWD) to me it seemed like the tractor was made to combat the "green paint is more expensive" crowd. However, for me the one thing that really made me go for the Kubota was the fact that when I started the Deere I didn't think it was going to keep running. It was a "chili" day about 45 degrees or so. I did expect both tractors to run rough when started because neither had glow plugs. The Deere overall just seemed to be made cheap to get a sell and it was about $2000 less than the Kubota. I'm sure they have made some improvements in the last 12 years and I'll never know how well the Deere would have served me but I am excited to see what your experience will be.

    • @ryanforbes3021
      @ryanforbes3021 Год назад +2

      We bought an E series Deere in 09. Its American made. We were looking at all the colors and the Deere was the best deal...$5000 cheaper than the Kubota. Funny how people are, we found the Deere to be more comfortable and user friendly than the Kubota. Anyways, we're happy with the Deere.

      Love both of y’all’s channels. Ya the 5 series is awesome, just got a 5075e. The 520m loader is beast, biggest lift of any brand. 3500 to full height at pin. I wouldn’t wanna get rid of my MF 240 but I sure do like my John Deere 5105. It’s been a great tractor and worked hard.
    There’s no question the newer tractors are more comfortable to drive and in my opinion much safer. My FIL has a Kubota MX 5100 and M7060. They are probably 2 of the most user friendly tractors I’ve ever set on.
    At the end of the day though I like green and yellow paint and Perkins powered massey’s. If I was buying a new one today it would be green.

If the price is right and you can get good service and parts who cares. Dad like that turbo. That will make an excellent addition to your stable. The nice thing about your old Massey tractors is no payments. You will need to mow a lot of hay to pay for this sexy new John Deere. My 5055E is a 2012. I like the machine. I had some little issues when i first bought it but nothing major. Keep an eye on your coolant hoses. They where known for leaking. Mine kept coming loose and leaking. It took about a year before they finally stopped leaking. The pre-emissions models had some cheap switches and stickers but other than that a solid machine. The newer machines like yours, it appears they beefed up the quality. I have looked at several of them. Overall I would buy another again. i don't blame you for buying new. I personally like the older machines better but it is a no brainer when you look at what you are getting for the money.

    I think for your purposes you will like it. Like I said before the only downfall is the low PTO HP. I want to see your report after trying the disc mower. My cousin runs a 7' with his and it is not impressive at all but we normally cut Bahia grass down here which sucks the HP to cut. It is a great looks well built tractor though.

    • @khtractors
      @khtractors  2 года назад +1

    I was like, "There's a John Deere blocking our view of the best value utility tractor on the market... WAIT... What?" In all fairness, it looks like it will accomplish the tasks you have lined up for it. I'm excited to see it work... will it get a canopy? Oh, boom! You just said it. Nice. I think you need a custom fabricated grill guard to protect that shiny new hood and grill.

    • @khtractors
      @khtractors  2 года назад +1

      The only downfall to a canopy is I’m barely clearing a couple sheds now with the roll bar. A canopy with make it too high, thinking about looking into one of those that’s easily removed. I’ve got front weights to put on it once I make a bracket, that should help guard the grill. Thanks for watching

    looks like you made an astute purchase Sir. those little clear foot guards on your green machine are a good safety addition , The syncronised gearbox really works slick I noticed when the young man changed up a gear on the move , seemed to shift as good as a power shift , it also seems very quiet with a nice exhaust note probably due to the turbo or intercooler .
    Good idea of yours to get a canopy to stop the skin cancer and keep cool .
    I was able to get front wheel weights for my MF 135 , they keep the centre of gravity lower than suitcase weights on the front end , (but also have water in the front tires ) as I use the MF to pull trailers .
    For tedding and spraying and seed/fertiliser spreading , personally I like a 750 RPM PTO (plus 540) so can just idle along , does not look like this girl has that which probably would be a deal breaker for my applications , but as a mowing tractor on up to lightly rolling country as not 4WD this looks ideal for you as the 2WD will have a tighter lock and it still has good wet brakes that have a long life to make the turns even sharper .
    Also the hydraulic pump flow on your prairie cadillac is about 200% more than my 64 HP fiat 640 now that is progress
    For your application you got the right tractor, with no worries as a good warranty which is all that matters
    What does the E mean in 5045E? is it electronic engaged PTO option and if so does it engage smooth or sharply ?

A much better experience overall with Kubota. Unfortunately a last check at the green dealer and that same salesman is still there so won't bother going there anytime soon...Although at some point I'd love to get one of the X-Series Garden Tractors just for lawn mowing duties, I don't really feel that my Cub Cadet lawn tractor is gonna last too many years LOL.
