Same with Lingyang, we shouldn't write either of them off. Lingyang is easily my favorite so I'm hoping the changes bring him up to par with the others. His Gameplay seems incredibly fun so I'm very excited and hope for the best for both Lingyang and Jianxin!

0:40 actually, Diluc is still somewhat used to this day, but that's thanks to Xianyun. This is another proof as to why supports are so important: they can turn a forgotten character into a relevant one once again. Hopefully Calcharro will at least follow a similiar path at worst in the future.
To be fair... Since in genshin everything is about your team and rotation any character can work fine for everything.
Diluc simply had his moment of glory during the fake advertisements of the drama shenanigans, but then people realized that Navia does the same and much more and forgot about his again.
As far as free to play goes, the Batoneta (pun intended) adds are meaningless since they require 2x 5* characters and one of them is heavily advertised with constellations. Free to play that use their brain will not be spending their resources on her just for Diluc and casual spenders already know that one or two characters are not enough, so they will be spending to strengthen their TEAM (that is of course unless you are pulling or building cause you like the character and then all reason can go out of the window).
Also, you still can easily clear abyss with diluc
To be fare Diluc was one of the top dps even for a standard char for the whole of first year of genshin because fire + water was the dmg meta up till Dendro came out. And over time simply abyss hp sponges just out scale Dilucs dmg in the amount of time he needs to be on field. The moment Hu Tao came out she was simply a better Diluc even on C0 with that garbage stamina consumption and wasn't worth picking him over Rational team or Hu Tao teams. It's what it is for any standard hero dps even for early limited banner once will get power creped eventually depending on the content scaling and new shiny once while supports stay a lot longer reverent.
Most of the characters in WuWa will keep being very usable, as the game is more skill based than gear based.

Though i was going to go for Jianxin, Encore, or Lingyang, im glad i saw this video cuz it helps me see who i could still rely on in late gameplay if for some reason i just don't have the currency for a limited character so i think ill try to aim for Verina, Encore, Calcharo, and maybe still Jianxin. If the change to her kit is satisfactory to me then ill still go for her but for now the 3 before her is still the people i want since i could possibly see myself using them in late gameplay thanks to this video!

+ Healing & damage buff doesnt sound baf at all so yeah knowing what kind of game ww is it's kind of fraudy to compare Gnsht with ww in those aspects

Plus having a DPS character is gonna be useful for the short term and getting me past the early game. Late game ill hopefully have enough resources to get a limited DPS

Think I'll play this gacha a little different by not pulling on any 5 stars except for basic banner. Will hold for several months and see what comes along.
even if hes the weakest out of these 5, im still gonna have to choose lingyang. hes really pretty to me and his playstyle seems hella fun
I am going to aim for Lingyang, however I am very good at exploration so I can probably get enough pulls to lose a 50/50 to any other character very quickly. Also Lingyang's trailer just dropped and he's so coool
Lingyang does look cool for sure and of course you can always pull the other characters when you lose a 50/50 :)

Verina is one of very few characters who's design I actually like so I was always going to go for her. All the better if she is good and can fix my skill issue.
If I want to play yuanwu then should I get Verina here and summon yinlin? Would that be a good trio?

I'm really hoping to get Encore or Calcharo, I rly enjoyed playing with Encore in the cbt2 and Calcharo looks also rly cool🤩! But I wouldn't mind getting someone else either, in the cbt2 I was able to get three 5*, so it's not like I have to live with the first character I pulled for a long time (hopefully.. I already see myself getting the same character 3 times in a row🥲💀)

First ever time in my life,want to get all the standard 5 star characters.
How horrible do you think it will be to reroll my account until I get both dangin and taoqi from the 20 preregister pulls? (Maybe extending it to 24 pulls each reroll since you only need to get 4 more in order to get 30 pulls)
Jianxin based on all she has even for her shortcomings is my favorite option, self heal a shield parry and buff after a switch in, so yeah in my eyes Jianxin is best beginner banner waifu
JIanxin does look cool, (her animations kinda look like an airbender) and I like all-rounders, but her gameplay seems so slooow...
Holding the button for five seconds while you slowly charge up a shield doesn't look very fun... Plus, it seems like she takes too much field time to be a good support, and does too little damage to be a good DPS. If I get her, I'm building her, but... Right now, if I have to pick one, I'm more inclined to go for Verina.
Given how many cool DPS and sub-DPS characters this game has even among the 4*s, and the need to build 3 separate teams for the Tower of Adversity, a universally good healer/support that doesn't take much field time to do her job seems too good to pass up. Especially since she potentially has a 30% all damage buff for the whole team with nearlu 100% uptime, (with the right echo set) a 20 ATK buff, and also acts as a sub-DPS attacking enemies from off-field while you use your main DPS... On top of having the highest healing output, of course. Her kit is just way too loeaded.
I don't care how strong is LingYang, i am going for him cuz he is absolutely ADORABLE 😭😭😭
Funny enough, I actually was thinking of pulling for Verina even though we already get a free healer (Baizhi). I just think supports will be more valuable so early in the game
Looking at PGR where Changyu is considered trash tier but I maxed him out anyway and still can clear most content with him I will do the same with lingyang. They even have the same japanese va :)

I really want Jianxin, but I think I have to go for Verina at the beginning as healer / buffer is very important whatever you are doing in the game. Poor Jianxin, I wanted her so badly !
Potential reworks for Jianxin so there’s still a possibility to pick her up :)

Verina is gonna be usable for long term, even if she gets power crept

Idk but wouldn't verina become useless quick just like qiqi from genshin or bailu from hsr? They were SSS at the start as well but now both are in D
If you make that comment, you don't understand why qiqi is considered bad. First, she has very little elemental application uptime meaning she doesn't really work for element teams. Second she doesn't really bring any damage increase to the team. Most supports in genshin have some kind of mechanic to bring more dps, qiqi does not. Third as a support she focuses on pure healing and nothing else. Genshin is not a game where you want pure healing in the first place as it is a wasted slot. Plus to get big heals on her you have to be hitting the enemy during a specific time window. If the enemy dies, there goes your big heals.
The video explains the reasons for the new girls kit. To put it simply, she comes with a damage amp, can heal off the bench, has a lifesaving skill. All of these are very valuable.

I'm still kinda uncertain about Verina - there's a good chance healing is a lot less valuable in this game than even Genshin due to the parry system and the DPS loss (no reaction system in this game so healers can't contribute there). The buffs look valuable on paper but there will most likely be supports that provide comparable buffs without causing as much of a damage loss (there kinda already are e.g. Yinlin).
yea but at the beginning, most people wont be able to dodge parry everything. it takes time to learn the game and while you're learning, having heals and protection from death will help a lot. in the long term, none of the standard 5stars will be relevant but it's a good idea to choose rhe one that'll allow you to make mistakes and learn the game
I myself am considering Jianxin or Verina. I love how jianxin looks but her kit worries me (Dehya....) I hate how Verina looks but being a general great support can be so important to get to the end game much earlier. Hope Jianxin rework fixes her.

With such a small pool of characters, I bet the initial limited characters will end up on the standard banner, the power gap is also small, and these games always powercreep their first patches worth of characters

Appreciate the video as I have 0 insight on this game. But the take on Diluc isn't right, he still full clears the "hardest" content genshin has with ease. He's just outshined by newer premium characters that came out after him. Since these types of Gacha's don't have pvp none of the characters will ever be unusable. I say this because I still use Diluc and full clear abyss without issues ever. But glad to know the character I wanted was kinda mid, hoping Jianxin gets better LMAO.

Jianxin looks like the Noelle of this game, she has heals, damage reduction, shields and damage like Noelle in Genshin which made her a great early and mid game carry.

Wuthering Waves and Genshin are completly different so should stop comparing characters when wuthering has a completly combat system, characters like Xiao or Nahida in genshin has unique fonction than base standard wuwa character have such as plunge and great kits based around buff and universal support, every units has it in wuthering, and there are no reaction
