What's wild is I actually wanted to do the fishing, but by that point I'd already quit giving Genshin +8Hrs a day of my time. 😭I actually wanted to get the Catch with friends and everything!
Fishing is not the problem, the time gating fishing is what I hate about it.
Exactly I live, laugh, loved fishing but time gating it made it hard for me to enjoy this because I didnt have time everyday and when I did I couldnt spend my time doing casual things for very long.

I literally just pulled 5star weapons to not have to fish, best thing I’ve done… ever. Fishing would have taken everything I had in me, I can always get more money but not time.
I didn't even start caring about abyss in genshin until about a YEAR AND A HALF into the game. I might do the same for Wuthering, focus on enjoying my time, focus on enjoying the co op, focus on building my characters, and I'll get to the end game stuff when I feel like getting to it

i didnt even start caring about abyss before like 1 month ago or so and im playing since launch xD but yea will do the same just enjoying my playtime and when i feel like it start caring about endgame
Same but ever since I got into doing abyss, now I think if I miss this reset imagine how many pulls I’ll miss.. It’s less of a problem for Genshin now since I have so many pulls saved up and don’t play as much but for a new game like Wuthering Waves I feel like I need every single Astrite I can get for new characters.
Heart crushing to play Honkai Impact 3 and hear stuff like 'this character is only good if you pull her weapon too'.
as a day 1 player, I can confirm almost EVERY character's 4/4 gear is a must have or you are running them at like half value .
Hope you're ready to 4/4 every character if you want to be competitive!

Like any other game....if you want to BE COMPETITIVE, you need to pull the gear and weapon cuz guess what....the other competitive people are doing that.

"40 days to build a character" reminds me how in PGR it's much less efficient to get exp materials from the dedicated exp grinding stages. In that game it's much more efficient to spend your stamina on event stages and then buy exp mats from event shop. Who knows, maybe kuro would do something like this in WW.

6:30 You never need dupes in PGR, cause you can upgrade characters for free, A ranks can be upped to SSS+ with time, and S ranks can be upped to SS with PPC skulls, some even to SSS with voucher cards, and most characters are op enough as SSs.
I mean for the most part sure but characters like Lumi is straight up not a good character unless they have dupes. And then we have Changyu who's not even a character at all even at SSS+ & Sig weapon

Think the point is you don't have to pull on the banner to get a dupe, you can upgrade it another way.
@@Iyoverse All he is saying imo is that you dont need to pull for the character dupes so there is no RNG in the eidolons/sequences and you get what you want guaranteed
@@Iyoverse hi3 and pgr operate by shards, if you get a character dupe you get shards, but you can also get shards from other means for certain characters, so getting a character dupe can give you enough shards to get their letter ranking up, or you can rank up your character if you get enough shards from other means. It's confusing but character dupes esentially turn Into the currency you use to upgrade the character so whatever way you get shards, you can use those to power the character up. I think even blue archive does this for how characters power up from "dupes"(shards)

4:11 You can't get the characters signature lightcones from the character banner. They are always separated forcing you to pull on both if you wanted to get them both.
I’m pretty sure he meant 4 stars like (For Acheron specifically) Good Night Sleep Well, can be obtained from the character banner if you’re lucky.
No disrespect, but there's a lot of talking, but it isn't very focused. I get wanting to get the right length of the video etc., but at the very least, I'd put in the effort to add time stamps in the video. I'm almost half way through the video and haven't heard a single tip about F2P traps yet. I'm not watching the rest now, but I wanted to be constructive

Wuthering wave’s artifact system is broken rn, once you get to level 15 in the data thing, you can get 5 star artifacts from the over-world with a 30%-80% chance, my friend has already 300% crit dmg on jiyan and I just need one more dps to complete the tower of adversity. Right now you can farm hundreds of 5 star echos a day so the costs of building a character are lower than genshin.

Really glad they made the main slot echoes really convenient to farm though, extremely helps in getting the damage part of the build partially covered up before moving onto the other pieces while saving up growth mats
About the time to max out a character, it's actually pretty average, the cost to go from 80 to 90 is about 35% of the total cost, with that amount you can bring any other character from 1 to 60. This is mostly common with both Genshin and Honkai if you do some calculation on the required materials, it's abouy the same or worse, it took months to get to level 90 with all maxed out skills on those games aswell, so I wouldn't stress too much about it. The further you get into the game the more resource planning you will be able to do, based on upcoming character
So basically similar to arknights where early game you are extremely encouraged to invest heavy in lower tier characters and maybe 1 SSR until you reach the point where farming efficiency is a lot better/more consistent because your rosters strong enough? thats my understanding from the video
What's great in AK is that you can use friends 6* unit basically anywhere. And that is more then enough to carry you right through the early + middle game and all the way up to the start of endgame without any sweat except specific stages. )
Not a good comparison cause ak has a very weak 5 star roaster compared to 4 star and 6 stars are op but yeah kinda works the same as what you said.
@@lovableairheadmile6809 I'd argue that 5 stars are still objectively better than most 4 stars there are just specific 4 stars that are actually better than 5 stars.
Click, Gummy, Cuora, Shaw, and Jaye are more bang for your buck 4 stars, Gravel and Perfumer have specific circumstances in which theyre good that occur frequently enough you could maybe argue them but you actually cant argue perfumer because Ptilopsis exists so thats only 6 4 stars out of 56. With that many 4 stars but only that many truly good ones I think the 5 star roster still wins overall.
Sure theres the whole flagbearer meta where people use Myrtle but I dont think shes better I just think people care less about what they get out of flagbearer vanguards, if i was running more snipers or running into invis units and this was before Ines id 100% pick Elysion over her. Ethan I can see an argument being made for as well but I mostly see him for very specific cases (like those units that spawn units on death that need a specific hit count to be killed)
Edit: As a side note even all of that aside you are still encouraged to build lower tier characters early game and only invest in a limited amount of SSRs due to a number of other reasons so the gap or lack thereof between 4 and 5 stars is actually irrelevant, theyre both cheaper than 6 stars. the material requirements for 6 stars can be just so much harsher and 4 stars dont even need to upgrade the chip packs you farm to elite 2, which was my point, both the cost of reaching max level for lower rarity operators and the material costs for 'ascending' and 'skill leveling' is lower so early on when you are lacking in everything its better to do lower rarities and limit your SSRs to one person who can carry you
@@ArcRaizer I would disagree with the objectively better due to their cost and majority of them are mediocre, with only a handful of decent ones. Also cutter is an amazing 4 star.
5 stars cost twice as much and also needs red certs however they aren't as easy to build and reliable as 4 stars. Remember u need like 270 red certs to e2 a 5 star and 360 red certs for a 6 star their like on a weird middle road that the only thing "better" is their raw stats. But 4 stars are mostly utility's the only 5 stars that are legitimately good imo are flagbearer Elysium and specialist.
@@ArcRaizer also on the ptilopsis argument there are situations where operators that can't be healed find more value from perfumer than ptilopsis like example I use her mainly with penance so I have some self healing even though it's a small amount

rn its just hoyoverse forcing a new meta with new powercreeps for whole 2.x version. But the thing is you can still clear every content with every units you got in 1.x version. There are no people regretting going for more pulls instead of the lightcones
Facts mate. Lightcones are completely optional and you can clear everything without them, unless your relic and pulls luck is complete dog 💩
Every comment section for any given creator's videos about Acheron (during her release/rise) are filled with players complaining about not having XYZ gacha LC for Acheron. Nowhere did I make a point to say you cannot do something in HSR, but we're not going to just erase history because you might not have seen it. In fact, you can still find videos about Acheron "needing her sig", other creators (like myself) proving that wrong, and then players still complaining about not having any of those options.
@@Iyoverse Thing about Acheron is that as by heself she is strong character and her alternative LC didnt come out yet as her being first crit focused NIHILITY character. With her sig LC she becomes OP and she is THE BEST DPS character in game we have right now. She is WAY above any other dps its insane. So if you're casual f2p player who isnt going for 1 cycle in hsr abyss you dont need her sig LC and can chill with 1 copy of her. Artifacts really decide how strong your character is and pretty sure it goes for all games and even whales arent guaranteed to get them
Honestly? I was thinking the same. The only char I ever pulled the LC for was for Acheron and that's just bc I wanted to invest horizontally on her. Before that I was using GNSW, and she did not do that much lower than her signature, her signature just providing faster stacks and a bit more of dmg. All my other dps do not have their LC and I was clearing moc fine - even before Acheron.

For the first day, I think I will just do the beginner banner without rerolling as some people say. Then decide who to choose from 5star selection after I got the beginner banner 5 star.

In hsr and genshin i didn't take time to enjoy the game. Joined both of them a year or so in and in a rush to build the new character i just pulled. I'm definitely going to take my time with ww
11:00 You have something misunderstood. You can't go for anyone in the beginner 40 pull banner. It is completely RNG who you get. It is only the next banner (80 pity) where you get to pick. Think of it as 3 separate banners.
1) Beginner: Only available for 50 pulls with discount to 40 pulls. You are guaranteed to get at least one 5 star. If you get a 5 star early your pity resets (i.e. the 50th pull is not always a 5 star).
2) Standard Banner: Regular standard character banner with 80 pity but the first time around you get to pick what 5* character you want.
3) Limited Banner: Limited banner with 80 pity and one rate up 5 star.

I'll attempt to start saying "others" and less absolutes when speaking on groups of people from now on. I forget we have shared communities, but not everyone is in the community. That makes sense.
This will be my first ever gacha game( I think that’s what it’s called) because this game intrigues me! So I was trying my best to understand a lot of terminology for this game 🤔 but this video gave me some insight on what to look out for/forward too on release so thank you for this video!🙏
If there's anything I learned from PGR, IF you're good enough, you might be able to cheese the combat with only 1 character in the team on par with the enemies; the Intro-Outro system is just that good sometimes. At that point, it basically becomes Dark Souls but with free buffs.
Although, I did notice, (unlike PGR where we can precisely control when that Intro skill hits using a QTE) some characters build that Outro meter too slowly especially when dealing low damage.
Hey guys, dont listen to Iyo. Very probably you will be capable of doing 99% of the stuff without a weapon, like is on PGR, SR, and GI. Focus on getting your favorite characters. MAYYYYBE, MAAYYYYBEEEE ,we will have some problems in a last abyss floor WW like, but that is irrelevant. Dont spend 70 pulls to get 50 currency more every 2 weeks. Thats insane.
I got ToF PTSD with Wuwa for some reason, just hope it runs fine and devs dont get greedy. Most these gacha games so generous at the start then slowly get stingy as they gain popularity
''You needed Acheron's LC'' for what ? She's been clearing MoC12 and PF4 with f2p LC pretty easily so for what exactly do you *need* her LC ?
I will go for Yinlin weapon because good when she is off-field dps.
I will say for pgr, it's an easier pill to swallow in pulling for 6* weapons because the pity is 30 and not 80. Even then f2p can still craft the 5* weapon for no pulls which are viable options unless hunting the leaderboards.

is there any concept of like trailblaze level or adventure rank with higher ascensions, rewards, and other content locked behind? you brought up it takes 60 days to build one character but i feel like if there were one of those it would not only take longer but be smoother... no?

I play Punishing Gray Raven, I've been playing for over a year, and I'm FAR more excited for the upcoming A-ranks than the S-ranks over there, S-ranks are great and all, but the A-ranks for gen 2 are super fun, so people shouldn't sleep on KuroGames 4* units. Noctis, Bridget, and Black Rock Shooter are all characters that I'm chasing in PGR, and they're all A-rank.

My HST luck for characters is really bad. But the opposite for cones. I had gotten 4 different promotional 5* LCs in about 20 wishes. The Acheron one was only 3 wishes from the previous one. Plus, Fu Xuan double Legendary LC.

Horribly inconsice. I would say besides those two, the only other point is that weapon banners are gonna (probably) be more important than other gatcha games.
I'd say don't burn all your pulls all at once. Plus most gotcha do power creep after a while. And you're gonna get a 5* Character Selector anyway and a lot of the 4* weapons are really frigging good.

Im planning to play Jiyan as I really want him due to his design as I want to get to a certain dps and then farm 3 different echo sets. Once I have properly farmed the healing one, moonlit one, and general attack one I can go for stronger characters

yeah my strat was to get S1Calchero from summoning and S0 Verina from selector gonna use the lvl45 weapon box to get calchero his sword and then all my premium resources go into yinlin and her weapon hopefully i can get everything there in time with the advanced schedule but i think having that 1 calchero team and maxing out its potential as much as possible will be for the best so i can look towards pulling units i will actually enjoy in the future without worrying abt meta
obviously s1 might not seem like alot but as i get the pity from summoning ill be able to get him to S3R5 without having to deal with any rng factors and even have a chance of getting extra copies if i lose pity on a future premium character

I plan on getting Calcharo for my dps, but am still flip-flopping between pulling Jiyan's weapon for him or not afterwards (If im remembering correctly that he can use it)- I dont plan on getting Jiyan or Yinlin and the fact that the weapon banner is guaranteed is enticing, but idk. I'll see when the game finally drops

40-60 days? I can max out resin on genshin for a week and get a decent set + build a unit to lv 90 with 2 days worth of max resin buying as long as i have the other resources done. And again, a week using max resin buying for a decent set...
This is some HSR/HI3rd shit... i STILL cant get drops for jingliu even with 2 weeks of max resin AND DOUBLE DROPS! hi3rd is fking HORRIBLE! and HSR's drops are just garbage... 10 double drop runs for jingliu's ice set? All wind set pieces... got 2 cloaks for ice... def%.... 2 weeks of max resin farming and not even a half decent set... i really hope this is NOT the case with WuWa... i'd feel pity for anyone who grinds otherwise..

Yeah, you get a random 5-star from your novice banner (40 pulls) and then you can choose which 5-star you shoot for on the beginner banner (80 pulls). So yup, guaranteed!

Genshin's weapon banner is only guaranteed after 2 failed attempts and the pity doesn't carry over to the next banner, so once you decide to pull, you need to commit all the way. I've wasted thousands pulling on the fking weapon banner in Genshin. HSR is better because pity carries over and you only need to lose 50/50 once. Wuwa gives you a guaranteed weapon at 80, so that changes the whole picture.
according to the first calculations for the first limited character, the signature will give 118 percent, the standard 5* will give 100 and 4* will give 98, I think it will be about the same as in honkai, with straight hands you can cover everything with 4*, but for the comfort of the signature, they are a guarantee, so I would recommend that in the future (especially for DPS) you immediately invest in both the character and his signature
and what’s more, weapons can be transferred even inside the tower, so you can, in theory, place characters who use the same weapons, for example Kalcharo uses weapons the same as Jiyan and it also gives Kalcharo a bonus of more than 12 percent damage, so by knocking out Jiyan’s sign you can wear it in your head at once on him and on calciaro and it will give you a total of more than 30 percent damage for two parties
Fun? Probably not. Good? Deffinitly. The gap between 4 and 5star weapons in this game is actually stupidlyarge compared to hoyo games and it kinda went under the radar since everyone was celebrating how relativy cheep they are. The gap bezween the 47 base attack 5stars (all 5star weapins except rectifiers) and the weeker half of the 4stars at 27 attack is 74%. Even if we look at thr top end of the 4stars, it's still at 33 attack and a 42.5% gap.
@@bencegergohocz5988 but for example in honkai its turnbased so stats very needed . in genshin you can loose 2 times . so its 240 pulls for garant sign, also teams 4 characters . So it turns out that the signals give a lot, but they are easy to get, just like the character guarantor, the difference is 20 pulls, which you can leave for the weapon. Now it all depends only on how many spins they will give in the next patches for f2p, if it’s enough to pull out a character + signature per patch - everyone will be happy, but if they give 60 spins per patch like in Genshin - then it’s sad and many will quickly will be abandoned (although it’s smarter to give Kuro a lot of freebies so that people themselves want to play and buy subscriptions and bp)
idk what's up with you, but I've been very happy getting 0 limited 5* lightcones in Star Rail. I have full cleared each pf and MoC since like Kafka as a f2p. Being somewhat lucky and somewhat economical with pulls, I got Seele SW Fu Xuan (+Tingyun), Kafka BS Ruan Mei (+Bailu), Dr. Ratio Topaz Robin Aventurine. These teams haven't been unable to clear anything with only 4* + f2p/std 5* lightcones. I for sure think getting specific synergistic 5*s is way more important in Star Rail than it is in Genshin, but lightcones? I don't know about that. Granted that 5*s characters are so powerful, I am hesitant to pull lightcones as saving for the right limited 5*s has let my account hold on through increasing power creep levels so far.
oh yeah and obviously i build himeherta for pf, since they're free. i regret getting bronya from 300 pity because i don't use her
No one said you can't clear content with zero 5 star LC🤦🏾♂️. At the end of the day it's a gacha game you can clear all the content with only 4 stars anyway. The 5 stras just make it easier

Only standard LC worth getting us Bronya's and even then you don't need to get it because she good good f2p options.For the others you're better off losing pity and getting them and use the saved currency for character banner

I literally got Verina in the beginner pull, she comes in handy with heals but I rely on Rover for most of my dps.

To my understanding no, because you have to finish that before unlocking the normal standard banner.

Glad im get Encore as my novice banner for temporary DPS (but sadly its on last pull 40 or 50 i dont remember), then i choose verina for selector banner to support/heal (cause why not since i alr had temporary dps) and luckily get her on first 10 pull 😆. im saving up premium currency right now and kinda wait & see for yin lin or jihyan (or maybe future character).

40-60 days is nuts. I can build a Star Rail character in 1-2 weeks, and I think I've gotten spoiled by that. (4*s and supports are lower, 5*s and mains are higher)
But yes, I am absolutely a character puller and I'm not even sorry lol. Maybe WW will break the habit, but I played GI for long enough that I look at a weapon banner as a waste of resources even in HSR where they're relatively tame.

HI3 is very much a "need to get their specific gear" gacha as well. As soon as I heard no 50/50 on the weapon banner I knew it was going to be a must pull. Good thing Yinlin is on the 2nd half. The power spikes on dupes reminds me of HI3 as well. 100% + on a c6 is crazy.

I got Jiyan in the first 10 pull.. So getting his weapon is now a no brainer. Then Im gonna skip and save for a long time because the fancy beginner banner gave me Cthulhu or whatever his name is so Im good on dps. I hard agree with the sentiment that getting behind the grind will make you wanna drop the game because thats what I did to genshin.
