I’m going to be honest here; I’ve been playing Genshin Impact since the first Klee banner and time and time again I’ve been shafted by the company and I’ve been just taking it because it was my first Gatcha game and I had a lot of sentimental value added to the game. It has good characters and the reaction mechanics are pretty simple and fun but after the Alloy drama, the first anniversary, the toxic community and a company that honestly hates its consumers so much that they literally add all the shit they ask for their games to their other games I was fed up so I gave WuWa a chance because fuck it if it sucks it’s free but so far this company has been surpassing my expectations. They are generous, the game is actually skill based so if I get stomped it’s my fault and most importantly they genuinely listen to their community and make me feel like they care about us. They have issues and the translation issues are god awful but I am more than willing to play with the game because I know that they will work hard to fix it; the free stuff is nice (like really nice) but the fact that they are doing so much work is amazing. Sorry for the long comment I just really really love this game and the company…

the problem with genshin community is it's just too big, that's it.
imagine 1 toxic player per 100 people. that's small, right? only 1%, what's the big deal?
but when there are 1 million players, that 1% become trouble.

The only actual reason Genshin became the "best" gacha game was because of COVID 19 and the lockdown that followed, but WuWa didnt have that and its already sky rocketing.
Like no hate to genshin but coming from a 1.1 genshin player, the game is so overrated and feels so boring to even play and WuWa doesn't, even after completing the story the game is still so much fun, especially due to the combats elegant mechanics of the whole dodge and counter system, which feels so satisfying by the way. I am playing WuWa 6-7 hours a day when I have free time and when I don't I still play WuWa for roughly 3-4 hours cause I just love the game and it's mechanics.
I personally don't see WuWa dying anytime soon like ToF did.

I don't rate it generously within the first month when it's still in the honeymoon phase. Kuro is trying their best to attract players, but I'm kind of baffled when I see:
CBT 2: 'Okay, we will fix the translation, guys.'
1.0: 'The translation is still wrong. Don't worry, we will fix it in the next patch.'
1.1: 'Dev notes are released, and there's a translation error.'
They listen and communicate, but no action is taken?

I was talking about the people that were complaining about there not being enough pulls, Tectone went over one of the threads in one of his videos, essentially f2p players are saying with the content/reward structure currently in the game, there isn't enough for f2p players. I think this is stupid, you should expect nothing if you're f2p.

Jokes aside, i might know which thread you're talking about here...but it'll be better if you link us with the link of the thread.
Nevertheless, I don't necessarily think that such an opinion is very popular in the subreddit, compared to the other critiques you mentioned in your vid (buggy launch and stuff). It's a minor opinion and thankfully, an opinion can be wrong.
That last line is still diabolical tho

@@nalotwodaym bro, so f2p players have no value in the game? Do you think they shouldn't get anything for playing and popularizing a game and just play without any premium currency and watch the whales get all the characters while they get nothing? That's a far stretch bro. I doubt anyone will play a game that stingy. A large portion of genshin players were also pissed off with stingy rewards and at the anniversary. Even if kuro gives out free currency, whales gonna whale. That is proved in Yinlin's banner and throughout the whole 1.0. If it becomes a cashgrab and characters only can be bought through money, I doubt people will be that much interested. Especially when one character take over 100$ to get.

    • @goddesszentoria
      @goddesszentoria 5 дней назад

@@nalotwo It can be very refined. F2Ps should recieve some more love. Kuro in their other game PGR has much better pulling. 60 pulls per character with 70% rate up but when te character debuts its 100%. And pulling copies of the same character will make that character very busted. I would prefer if Kuro would make 100% rate up on character debuts and 70% rate up to get guranteeded chaacter. Weapons have similar pulling but only 30 pulls needed.
F2Ps deserve better. There are alot of F2Ps who cant do it cause they were investing their money to different game, tere are even F2Ps who dont even have credit card or bank account.

Gonna drop an unbiased comment wrt to WuWa and Genshin.
If you have a full time job, family to take care of, other games to play; you only have limited time to invest in your gaming time.
The pace of WuWa allows me just to invest as little time as required. I'm not climbing on mountains for 90% of the time. That itself already is a big winner. That means I can use those 90% opportunity cost elsewhere: work at McDicks for extra cash to roll gacha; play some Steam games; play Honkai StarRail.
And if you play Genshin, you lost that opportunity cost because you are climbing walls.
    Better streamlined pace = longevity.

  • @vr4893
    @vr4893 6 дней назад +2

r/gachagaming is a critical open forum, in which they have and will always provide criticism to ANY game, not just Wuwa. You even showed in your video how the community simply "reviewed" and discussed their concern on various issues the game clearly has on launch (how you think 8/10 is "hate" is beyond me). There will be pure haters of course, but most of them are downvoted to oblivion. The majority of the people in the community don't harbor any specific "hate" toward wuwa, but if you think criticism = hate, then the most hated game in r/gachagaming is the thing you fought so harshly in this vid, Genshin Impact.
Genshin has been criticized in every patch, every bug, and every year...and that's fine. We deeply understood that the game has a lot to improve, but the fact that Genshin was able to gather such different kinds of people to criticize on it in the first place is an achievement in and by itself.
But that's enough about Genshin, let us talk about wuwa. If the community didn't harbor any hate toward wuwa back then, people like you made sure they hate it now. Wuwa is a great game, but how people like you refuse to receive criticism, pretend that the game is without flaws, and believe that anyone who doesn't think that wuwa is a 10/10 to be "mintpickers" and "skill issue" is sure to attract the "hate" that you speak of.
Note that those critics are not simply Genshin players, many of them played 4-5 Gacha games at the same time. They are r/gachagaming after all, not r/hoyoverse.
How you believe that the criticism is "stupid" because the dev already knew about it is one more thing that is beyond me. How do you think the devs found those issues in the first place? By the critics? or by the people who believe "everything is fine"?
TLDR : Its called criticism, not hate. Thought u people said wuwa is a game for real man? then take the jabs and act like a man.
Now let's talk about the things you got wrong in the vid :
    - Venti and Klee are the first limited characters that came with the first patch of the game, exactly like Jiyan and Yinlin.
    - Tartaglia is closer to Jinhsi as both are main story relevant and is/will be available in each game's 1.1.
    - Genshin is more compatible on mobile, especially with the number of device issues wuwa had during its first day. When wuwa announced that the game reached 30 million downloads (3rd week), the global version on Google Play only accounted for 1/30th of it. On the other hand, Genshin had 23 Million mobile downloads by the 1st week.
    - I don't even know where you find the "not enough free pulls" one, and that one is most likely a touch of sarcasm.
Now now, I know the drills. I just wanna close off by saying that I am a wuwa player. UL 44, rover-only on the main story, read a big portion of the lore, rover only on most of the holograms (except heron bcz that fowl little piece of **** have havoc res), solo-ed the first and the second stage of ToA with only rover, jiyan, danjin, and I invited 4 other people to play the game. If you find me as a "hater" too, you'd be proving my points right.

    • @nalotwo
      @nalotwo  4 дня назад

ugh i was on mobile and like halfway through writing my response it just closed and deleted it, so im gonna summarize
      1. fair critical reviews and clear bias are 2 different things, the point of showing his "review" and the first line of it is because he was outright attempting to be negative from the get-go, which is not how reviews work, a fair review is one that comes from a place of neutrality, where you remove as many biases as possible.
      2. the "8/10" combat part is just outright ridiculous, wuwa stands far above 99% of the market in terms of the depth of its combat while also retaining simplicity so really good players can be skill-expressive and really bad players can still get by. It is absurd to rate its combat anything below a 10 because there is essentially no comparable options. Could it be better? Maybe. Is there a better option? You'd be extremely hard-pressed to find one. Setting the standard of an entire genre is 10/10 worthy, until the bar is pushed higher.
      3. Your third paragraph is just strawmanning my points, I never claimed wuwa is a perfect game and within this video even criticized aspects of it like the forgery material drops, they have a lot to add and a lot to work on, but the goal of this review was to point out the ridiculous, overly negative and biased hatred of the game simply because of FOMO
      4. Your line about how it isnt r/hoyoverse doesnt bring anything to the table, I never said they exclusively play genshin, its just more likely that the biased reviews are from genshin players, because wuwa is very similar to genshin, so the direct FOMO is more obvious
      5. "How do you think the devs found out about the issues" from people describing the issues to them before they were aware? What is your point here? I'm saying its silly to complain about an issue that is already in the process of getting fixed, its beating a dead horse. Telling the devs about issues before they are aware of them is perfectly fair.
      6. "thought u people said wuwa is a game for a real man" now you're just lumping me in with other people, I'm not a meatrider, I'm allowed to defend the game from unfair negativity.
      7. I got the klee part wrong, my friend pointed that out to me when I first released this video, that's my bad, but I also never said childe was FOR SURE the first new release, I just said, based on my memory, that he was. Despite that, this doesn't defeat my core point, childe took FOREVER to come out compared to wuwa releasing jinhsi and changli.
      8. "genshin is more compatible on mobile" okay? what is your point? good for them, glad they got 23m downloads on mobile! Awesome! What are you responding to, me, or someone you lumped me in with?
      9. "idk where you found the free pulls one" its in a recent tectone video, but I went ahead and found another, completely different thread about it just now: www.reddit.com/r/WutheringWaves/comments/1da2bpd/i_feel_like_the_game_is_not_f2p_friendly/
      10. I'm not calling you a hater at all, you just brought up inconsistencies that you interpreted, and here is my response to them.

    • @vr4893
      @vr4893 3 дня назад

@@nalotwo Oh I'm so sorry for lumping you with the others, I don't know that I shouldn't *generalize so many people with varying opinions just because many of them currently share a general view towards wuwa* . Though I have to say, many points weren't necessarily pointed towards you personally. It is there to give better context for other readers who might read it (e.g. the hoyoverse part). Made it seem like you took everything on a personal level, but to be fair the tone of my comment indeed came out as personal. My original purpose was to "clear up misunderstandings" which seems to be lost in writing. For that, I apologize.
Let's call that *"point 0"* , and move on:
      1. My point still stands, r/gachagaming is unbiased because it criticizes *everything* . During the CBT2 days of Wuwa, the sub was mostly on Wuwa's side while going against Genshin at the same time. Does that mean they were biased toward Genshin? If you only look from that single viewpoint, sure. Nevertheless, we all know the answer now. (spoiler: It's no.) Bias by definition is the action of supporting or opposing something in an unfair way. On the other hand, the community (for the lack of better words) *opposes everything equally* .
They are neutral exactly because they are negative towards everything. Not necessarily a good view of things, but it is anything but biased. Wait until Natlan and you will see how they believe the region to be the worst thing any human has ever created, just like how they judged Sumeru and Fontaine on release.
However, I have to agree with you on one thing. Saying that the community made a "critical review" would be as far-fetched as saying "hate". They are simply a bunch of gacha gamers after all. If you want a truly "fair and unbiased review", go toward a community with thousands of games under their belt like IGN and Metacritic, or maybe RUclips game reviewers such as Gamerbolt (spoiler: they all gave the same score, and it was not higher than 8/10). Are their review also ridiculous, unfair, and biased?
      2. Wuwa's combat is simply phenomenal, and if you believe it's a 10/10... good for you. You will have a very great time playing the game. Unfortunately, people give different ratings for many reasons (including bugs) and it's anything but ridiculous. Wuwa can have the best combat without it being a 10/10. "can be better" doesn't go hand in hand with 10/10. Being the best is not equal to being perfect, It's rating, not ranking. The fact is, no game will be 10/10 for everyone. Is it that ridiculous?
THIS is exactly the thing that I was talking about in my 3rd paragraph. Yes, you did say that the game has flaws, but believing other's ratings to be ridiculous just because it is not a 10/10 realllly proves my point.
      3. Point 0, also discussed above. Though you never really showed us the FOMO part. Where did that come from? Asmongold's video?
      4. Point 0
      5. I believe another person already brought this up in another section, but I'll try to give a better context in Kuro-specific cases. One of the best examples of this is Wuwa's localization problem. People already reported this issue back in CBT2, and even some as far back in CBT1. Did it get better at launch? yep. Is it still lackluster though? Absolutely. The funny thing is that the exact same thing happened on PGR's beta and launch. They already knew from past experience that they had issues with localization, yet they repeated the same mistake again.
      So two points.
      - Even if they are aware of the issues and already "fixed it", doesn't mean that it is necessarily "fixed"
      - Even if they are aware of it, they can forget and make the same mistake again, which is why we should "remind them" of it.
I can assure you of one thing though, it will get better. PGR went from barely comprehensible to savage one-liners.
      Shoutout to @another_eu_player8035
      6. Point 0
      7. This is a completely different situation though. While the fast release might seem good for us, Kuro's devs have been severely overworked since launch (because of all the issues they had). It is very clear that the game was not ready for launch, yet they pushed 1.0 forward anyway. Even after all that mess, they still decided to push 1.1 forward, which is simply an inhumane decision from Kuro's executives.
To add more context, despite Kuro's reputation as a generous and great company it is seen in the West, it has quite the opposite reputation in mainland China. Plagiarism, unjustified firings, overworkings, you name it. Some even call it "animalistic". Now, should this information prevent people from enjoying the game? Absolutely not. It is as stupid as the whole "Because hoyo is a billion-dollar company" argument, as both don't have anything to do with the gameplay. Nevertheless, it is still quite sad to see how people overlook stuff like these just because they received some "compensation", and still say that they want to "support the developers".
My point is that this is not necessarily a good thing, and you really shouldn't expect/hope for similar things in the future. Also, this might be a good topic for a video.
      8. I'm saying that Genshin is very compatible with mobile at launch because they "listened" to the beta testers. At the very least, they didn't wait until people criticized its launch to fix it. Guess I could've made this point clearer. If you're wondering where you talked about this, 8:42.
      9. Thx for pointing that out. Really proves why you shouldn't advertise a certain community to be "the worst sub out there" by the opinions of some. I mean, look at how many upvotes it had (spoiler: it's not a lot). This shows that even r/gachagaming doesn't agree with this opinion, and you really shouldn't have put it in a video where you berate the community. Made it seem like it's "our opinion".
Not so fun on the receiving end huh? being generalized and criticized like this.
Now, to be honest, this took quite some time to write and I don't necessarily have the time to keep this facade up. I wish you all the best for your content-creating journey, but for a guy preaching about bias....do try to be less biased next time. Peace

Why can’t we be interested in multiple good games. When one is having a dry patch you can jump to another.
Some people are so eager to pick a thing and make it part of their identity and then take it personally and go to war if someone doesn’t like it as much.
Wuthering Waves has been a breath of fresh air. The exploration is fun, the devs are really making the effort to get it better. The music or voice acting isn’t on par with GI but that’s a minor thing that will get better over time. What’s holding me back Losing the healing isn’t the main thing for me. My biggest obstacle with WuWa is not owning a PC. Mobile gaming is not my thing and WuWa is pretty painful to run on a mid phone. Not necessarily the games fault but it matters to many. When the PS5 version releases there will be another wave of players hopping on.
I’ve played Genshin over 3 years, still do. It was the first Gacha I ever played. Didn’t even know much about it before. (Saw it as an open world jrpg with this weird character wish thing added 😅 ) It has its moments of greatness but also many flaws. Having competition is a good thing going forward.

Exploration is fun and all, but then I just get lost or bored. So I usually stick to tower defense, idle, or strategy games like HSR(I hate the walking around part of HSR, but I love actual battles and picking my team). Sometimes, we just gotta realize that not everything that's great is for us(gaming wise). I'll enjoy Wuwa through other people(RUclipsrs) because I can't keep up.

I would even go that far and say that many of those public haters are even orchestrated by Hoyo and the other 3/4 are just braindead Genshin White Knights who can't accept that something could be more praised as their holy Genshin. I played Genshin from Day 1 up until Fontaine. But then I was done. They never listened, never cared, not even cared about their game anymore. Tons of nonsense ideas they put into the game no one literally asked for but changes people demanded for years were unheard even now. They let old regions die and only care about the next and even the biggest plus they had "the composer" left the building. And he was the only constant who never disappointed even if patch after patch did. Genshin really broke my heart because this game could have been something so great and special but those devs are absolutely out of touch and the story is completely lost and became absolutely obsolete in its core. Having a "oh have to find my sibling" once to twice a year to remember "Oh yes there was something" and then party games and 95% nonsense non skipable stories with bulk of paragraphs to read. Like mine now 🤣 but +100x per each lame side Quest.

I agree, I was OBSESSED with genshin when it first came out, but early-on I was able to see the distinct lack of care and felt like I'd be wasting my time if I continued playing, not for me, but I totally respect people that like it. It had a great foundation but the execution of updates was just...lackluster.

I actually play TOF but only because it’s still on my ps5 and my account is actually good, I have a good amount of the new characters with stars and builds but I would never tell people to play it lol
The character banner system is like Genshins weapon banner… if you don’t have 110/120 pulls then don’t even pull, getting on and using 20/30 pulls becomes stupid because you could lose the 5050,
80 pity but it’s always a 5050, when you pull you get 1 flame gold per pull, 120 and you can buy the banner character outright from the store but you lose the 120 flame gold if you don’t use it before the banner ends, so you can’t save up for characters in the background for the future it’s f**king stupid 🤦🏾‍♂
People actually think TOF has a better banner than Genshin… don’t make me f**king laugh 😂 TOFs banner is probably the worst out of the good banner systems, better than a lot other games but still a trash system, TOF is some how worse than Genshin, skins are 100$ lol the cool event items are always annoying to get and a lot of the time you wouldn’t get them or just say f**k it I’m not farming this boring nonsense anymore lol, power creep is still there, bosses are annoying as hell like always 10/10 game 👍
PS… if you want to just pay money to max every new character to stay with the meta and you have friends that will pay also… TOF is actually a good game for what it is, but still don’t play it.

Okay, this is first time I like WuWa discusser that I feel satisfied.
    1. You focus on Genshin issues and why WuWa is good. I agree, WuWa indeed good and I very enjoyed it and spend money on it.
    2. Not blaming Hoyo entirely but only on Genshin.
This is satisfaction that I seek. As someone play hoyo games since they still a beginner, I would say Genshin is the worst treatment they have given.
If ask me personally, I would says most hoyo old player also don't like Genshin much. So, I don't like when people blame hoyo because all this problem are Genshin dev team direction.
Again Thank You.. It seems I will enjoy your content. You sound wise when discuss stuff.

it will get better over time if they want any chance of competing with WuWa, if they retain the same stupid mechanics and low compensation they're gonna bleed players

I play every other Gacha, MMO, FPS Game on Max settings with stable 400FPS in Valorant for example, but for WuWa I have to use a Mixture of med and high settings for it to still Look blurry and only be smooth for maybe 60-70% of the time.

Stutters are the problem. Most people with HDDs have this issue and even some people with SSDs. Loading times are also much longer compared to like every game ever.

Call of duty has gotten worse overtime

I mainly meant self-contained performance issues that get worse over time, like for example, CoD BO3 is "self contained" but BO4 is a separate and new game in terms of performance, because it has to be built for different market standards, etc.
