Classic NES theme, but to be honest to me the music sounds slightly out of place for a LoZ ending theme... but the Legend of Zelda series was still discovering itself. Don't get me wrong I love this catchy tune! Not a very long cover, but I go through it once as written and then jazz it up with some of my own arranging. I know I'm no Tom Brier, but let me know what you think and if it deserves the "but it's a little much" title.
This motif is also the 'Game Over' theme for the original Legend of Zelda on the NES. This piece also makes a cameo in Majora's Mask called 'Piano Practice' in Evan's room in Zora Hall. I'm currently trying to complete the Majora's Mask soundtrack and that's what I ended up doing this cover!

What an iconic tune! Always loved how it starts off almost dream-like then get happy-go-lucky once that stride bass steps in. What a fun tune!
Very fun tune! I tried to mix it up a bit
A fun cover! The original tune always gave me the fun mental image of Link and Zelda walking back to Hyrule Castle together ... then stopping by a sidewalk cafe and chatting while a Pixar-style blooper reel played.

There is never too much music in Zelda
its funny you can notice a lot of motives similar to mario bros 3 music as Koji K. composed for those 2 games around the same time
