This is the last Legend of Zelda cover that I needed to redo from my old videos, and it was a hard one! Erik C 'Piano Man' and I did a versus over 5 years ago (Round 3 to be exact!) and we are reprising our covers in a Synthesia format. Who's arrangement reigns supreme? There are some very minor differences from our original versions, mine being that I extended and repeated the Wind Waker final battle phrase some, but I kind of regret doing it because I lost the rhythm in the left hand a little bit. Some wrong notes but I don't think you'll catch them at all. Tough one to record because it is one of my harder covers for sure.
It's amazing how so much of this theme is based off of chords built from 4ths! In theory the initial rising progression shouldn't even sound like it's in a minor key, but it does anyway! Koji Kondo you mad genius you. A lot of this cover took inspiration from different games such as Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. See if you spot all the references!

Eric made the build up version that leads to the big finale while ryan arranged the epic battle itself. I personally thing ryan won this round but both versions are really good. Great job you two.

I believe that high beginning part is from Twilight Princess or at least it gives me the vibes! 😄 That part when you make the left hand sound like a heart beat is pretty neat! 👍👏👏

This was a close round of VERSUS if I do say so myself. We took very different approaches to the theme here.
I loved both of these, but if I were to guess… I’d say that this one is better. It just seems a bit more powerful and threatening, which is what I think this theme is all about. I really loved the discordance, especially with the left hand. It added a really cool ominous effect.
I’m not sure if I’m explaining this very well, but I thought that this one kind of said a bit more about Ganon as a character.
Anyway, seriously good work! You guys always inspire me to keep practicing. Keep it up 👍

Fantastic arrangement as always, you gotta love those juicy chords! Also the 4:08 segment with all the right hand jumps was incredible!
Super fun part to play, but I honestly was worried I was going to botch that part 😅
I saw all those notes falling and thought, oh he did this part as a duet with himself, right? Oh. No, he didn’t. Epic!
Came here fomr the Eric one and thought without a doubt you cannot top this, but I preferred this tbh.
I can't put my finger to it, but this gave me much more of a Zelda franchise vibe (Not only the TP parts.) and that one more of the OoT one.

I'm putting my money on you, really enjoyed the different variations of the theme. I like that the melody was a bit different than the original, and I loved the part where you incorporated the Main Theme but flattened the last (few) notes! The intro was great, and it was nice that it adventually returned back there. Excellent job man!

This one just sounds so menacing. It’s pure evil put in musical form.
Take 3:02 to 3:44 and loop it that’s definitely a boss battle but overall fantastic piece I agree with the before statement as this seems to be more of the during the battle piece whilst Erik is more heading to the boss piece.
If you took out a couple parts from Erik’s and yours, mashed them together , you could possibly mash the two together and get the the full ganons tower and fight, as I would say at around 1:30 to 2:00 could be like his monologue, so you would have most of Erik’s as the ascent, the monologue, and the fight. It’s kind of hard to pinpoint where to go from one to the other though cuz it’s two different styles. On a side note, I just love the dark main theme part and the TP reference
Edit: Better idea, the little high note part at the beginning would be as you enter the room, and from there would be the monologue. That little thirty seconds I mentioned would be like him standing up getting ready to fight you and unleashing his magic

I'm not normally the person to do this, but it looks in multiple spots in your video like you've increased the speed 150% of the recording. As an animator, I'm 80% sure you did.

After Pachacamac and the echidna tribe attacks his own daughter and the Chao to stealing the power of the Chaos Emeralds to bring his wife's life back, and Chaos sealed and wiped the echidnas into the Underworld. Pachacamac have the dark power to exact revenge at his daughter to become the chief as the Demon King.
