Thank you for making this video. I have just removed my gallstone last week and now on the second week of my recovery. I have most experience similar to you. But one thing different is that I can stand straight and walk normally after a week of the surgery but need to walk slower since I normally walk fast. My diet went fine after a week, I avoid spicy, hard and oily food at all for now for a smooth recovery.
Glad to hear you are resting and taking it slowly. It does take a long time for your body to adjust. My diet makes all the difference to how I feel 10 years down the track. ❤
My surgery was a breeze compared to my total knee replacement & the horrible pain of gallbladder attacks. And, pain killers can cause constipation too. I learned this with the knee replacement.
Hi! its my 5th day post op...on the 3rd day was experiencing constipation, however for two days now ive been going to the toilet for 3X in a day or right after having a small meal...How did you address this? Thank you for the video
Keep hydrated. That happened to me as well. If it keeps happening for a while maybe try imodium? But your stomach will be a bit sensitive with food for the next few months
@@MillennialGirlfriendhow long will it take for the stomach to get adjusted fully?im already 2 months post removal of gall bladder and still facing loose stools.how long will the stomach be sensitive?
@@sandrachristina1815 My stomach is still sensitive until now, 9months post surgery. It gets better overtime. I find that it's usually when I eat fatty food. Instead of gallstone pain, I just go to the toilet. My mom is still experiencing the same thing whenever she eats fatty food, even over 7yrs post surgery.
Did you feel something 'jiggly' by your belly button after the surgery? As if theres a small sack of water just there, inside your belly button? I feel it just by placing my hand on my belly button area, never felt it before surgery
I didnt have that after surgery. My whole stomach was just so stiff. If it persists, I suggest let your surgeon know or ask them if it's something you should be worried about
Hi sis, I'll be having my cholecystectomy soon here in Perth... you reckon I'll be able to drive (school pick up / drop off) a week after the procedure or not? Thanks.
Hi! I dont think so sorry. Your stomuch will be the most tender and painful in the first week. So you wont have your usual reflexes for driving. I was also in strong painkillers on my first week. My surgeon instructed me not to drive in the first 1-2 weeks.
@@MillennialGirlfriend Thanks sis! Just had my surgery and yes, I felt all the pain and discomfort the day after I was discharged. I appreciate your response. ♥️
Hi I had a question? Did u have constant constipation before ur surgery? I have to go to restroom 2 or three times when I eat. I have surgery on February 5th. Also did u get pain left and right or the middle when u had gallbladder stone.? I'm scared
Hello! I didnt have constipation BEFORE the surgery, but I had it AFTER. My pain was in the middle, above my stomach when I had gallstones 🥲 Dont be scared. Just get them taken out. I'd rather have the need to go to the bathroom after the surgery, than the excruiciating pain 🥲 I still have sensitive stomach on fatty and dairy foods 4 months post surgery but it's less compared at the start. All the best!
@MillennialGirlfriend HI thank you I needed that I'm struggling mentally and that made me feel I can so it. I'm tired of the pain moving and it stressing me out. What did u do to relive the pain during the gallbladder when u had it.?
I try to distract myself with watching something, hot compress, walking around for movement, painkillers.. basically, a lot! 🤣 and the time it takes to go away is very random
@MillennialGirlfriend Hi Hope you are feeling ok now. Please send best wishes to you. Could you please tell me how much time is needed to heal properly inside after surgery, like the muscle ache, right side, where the operation was held
