Hi guys. I have my Honda Zoomer X in Thailand, it’s the same as Ruckus, but it is 110cc. The reason I like this bike is 1. Design 2. Low height convenient for women Here in Thailand the seat is for 2 persons. And the display is electronic. But the Ruckus’s retro style display I like better. It’s timeless in my opinion ))
Had my Ruck since 2017 when I bought it new…and got a $200 discount for paying cash! My mods are simplistic….round wire rock grates for front lights, set of cheap white plastic saddlebags mounted to the add on rear rack. Found a French fry basket at a yard sale, cut it to fit for open storage under the seat. Gel pad added to seat. Mine is red and white and it is more fun than my 1800 Goldwing and a lot easier to hold up! Gave my GW to a charity to benefit a local childrens hospital. Got right at 6,000 miles on it now and it is still a lot of fun to ride!
Keep it as is, carb with non-ethanol gas is great, liquid cooked wjth a kick start is awesome . Fuel injection would be Ok IF and only IF yiu keep the Kickstarter. Add a USB port with a waterproof cover. Lastly, a heavy duty ruckus cargo rack for the tail !
I love the Ruckus, but I have to say that continuing to increase the price without adding any updates cant be good for sales. If Honda did the 110 from the navi with a small price bump, id totally be in. Thanks Kevin!
100%! I think we all understand that prices are going to continue to go up, we can't argue with that (sadly) but, seeing some updates here and there definitely make it an easier pill to swallow so-to-say. It'd be interesting to see what the numbers would look like if they were to move production outside of Japan as this is one of the last "cheaper" models to still roll off the production lines there. Being within a few hundred bucks of the Grom and $1,000 more than the NAVi makes it a tough call for a lot of people, no matter how much they love the styling of the Ruckus over everything else. No no no, thank you! Appreciate the support man ;)
Mind you, adding a few $ without adding updates is to be expected as cost of manufacture (aka inflation) always play a part. I wish it didn’t, otherwise 68 Nova would still be $2995.00!😂
I have definitely gotten my money's worth out of my 2007 Ruckus and I have not treated it very kindly. The state of South Carolina has upgraded it from a moped to a motorcycle because of that beastly 4.5 hp, so if I have to have a license, insurance, tag and pay taxes, I might as well get something bigger. Hoping Honda has a decent supply of ADV160's next year. The low weight still makes it easy to carry for a camping trip.
Heck yeah, gotta love that about most Hondas! Oh really? That's a shame. Hopefully more and more states don't start following suit on that but then again, that means more money in their pocket so yeah, probably going to start seeing more and more of it. Things will be slightly better next year but there are still going to be shortages with Honda for quite some time now. A lot of people didn't believe me back in 2020 when inventory levels started to get bad that it still wouldn't be better by 2022 and here we are lol - it's still nowhere near "normal". Dealers are struggling big time though, they need some normalcy soon as it's kinda hard to make money when you have nothing to sell and are having to almost rely entirely on used unit sales etc to keep the doors open which then just drives up used prices etc. It's all a mess, we need pre-rona times back with the quickness lol!
Do you have to own a motorcycle in order to take the test to get a motorcycle license to ride the Navi for instance?? I live in Wisconsin and I assume I would have to buy a motorcycle and test on it to get the license to ride a Navi?? I hope that is not the case? I can stop at the DMV and ask, as long as the line is not too long? Lol's
@@StartGierach Take a Motorcycle Safety Foundation course which they will have in your area. Pass it and it takes the place of the DMV riding test. Pass the DMV written test and they put an 'M' on your DL.
I love my 2022 Ruckus. I got it in August of 2022 and have put 1,200+ miles on it. In my opinion, the twists and go ride style cannot be beat. I do wish it had more power. I plan on getting the ADV 160 or PCX 160.
Heck yeah, congrats on the new Ruckus! 1,200 miles doesn't seem like a lot to most people but on a 49cc scooter, that's quite a bit of time in the saddle lol! Glad to hear you're loving it, as long as you go into these with an open mind and know that you're not getting a little sportbike etc, they can't be beat. Nice, those are quite the upgrade for sure and definitely a massive jump in performance! Are you planning on keeping the Ruckus around or trading it off?
@@HondaProKevin I haven’t decided. It makes sense to trade it in towards something new, but if I keep it then my girlfriend can ride around with me. Only time will tell what I will do.
Update: I got a 2022 Honda PCX 160 and kept the Ruckus too. I’ve had the PCX for about three weeks and have already had to give it its first service at 600 miles.
The only scooters that have the options of the bigger 150cc gy6 motors are the clones like the maddog. It offers both a 50cc and a 150cc gy6 motor and it's already stretched. It has the lowered position handle bars. The same style seat but it's lower. The lights are the same style. The taillight and signal lights are integrated into one. The wheels and tires on the gen 5 are 14 inches. The price is about the same as the Navi. It has the same power as the ruckus. Put a pod air filter, change the jets in the carburetor and change out the vacuum fuel pump for an electric fuel pump and your good.
Mine was all black and under 2k. Jetted, piped and roller weight change didn’t do much but kept it uphill a lot better. I got a set of saddlebags off a friends sportster that fit with a little trimming and added a round tool bag up front. Had a blast with it till I moved to the sticks and it wasn’t practical but now wish I had kept it
Nice! Oh yeah, that's the most common phrase I hear from people that have owned a Ruckus in the past... It's always "I wish I would've kept it around" lol!
*Yeah, that's always the way things go..."I wish I had my scoot back"* *My 'Metro' goes w/the house when I croak...I''ll never let it go because it's 'always ready when I am'*
I’d buy one in a heartbeat if it was able to do at least 55, I have to be able to drive on the larger main roads to work. I’ve watched a number of the hop up videos and seems like your tossing most everything but the frame to get the bigger engines in and cool fatty wheels on. At that point the maddog 150cc Chinese copy start looking good at 2000.00
I had one with fuel injection and it's a great machine. It's a one seater which I found an advantage not having to give "losers" rides. It performs rather well uphill too and the space underneath the seat makes it possible to transport long in size objects. With a box added for your helmet it still looks stylish. The sound of the motor is not annoyingly loud for the neighbours ears like with the Honda Dax. I switched to a car since I retired away from the city. They are a good investment if you take good care of them of course. Do not try to enhance their performance because they are perfectly tuned to be cheap to run and last.
Question, I'm moving from a very quiet kymco shower to maybe this one. I live in an apartment and I leave for work at 5am. Would the engine be too loud for that? I never want to be that tenant who everyone xknows when they are coming / going.
fuel injection is overdue......needs some kind of basic luggage holder......stay at 49cc ( due to license restrictions) but with FI and a DOHC head 4 valves it would improve the performance .......Maybe 1 inch larger wheels , (alloys,) a disc brake......All would suffice to show an improvement
I just took delivery of a grey ’23 Ruckus. Japanese quality scooters are something we may not see for much longer at any price. The build is what you’d expect from a made-in-Japan Honda. I’m having what I’d describe as a slight surging or stumbling at mid-throttle which can be ridden right through, but I’m hoping this will clear up with break-in. I’ve only got about 30 miles so far and I am using ethanol-free fuel. it’s not severe, just annoying. It’s subtle enough that some riders may not even notice. Anyone else experience anything like this? Edit: the slight stumbling behavior completely disappeared with the onset of cooler weather.
I have a 2022 Ruckus 49cc -- EXACT same problem !!! The only thing I haven't tried is messing with the fuel pump, fuel filter or carb. Must be the characteristic of this engine ? Minor problem but Frustrating as hell !!
@@frankalbergo4056 actually, I said above that the problem disappeared. It has improved with colder weather, but it has not disappeared completely. I don’t even have 100 miles yet, though, so it might disappear over the course of breaking in the engine. I hope so because it’s very annoying.
Take carb apart and clean it out. Watch a couple of videos and its eazy peezy. The jets may have gotten clogged from sitting too long in the showroom without running it occasionally. Gas may have gotten old or became contaminated. I would put fresh 93 octane and a little StaBil gas treatment after carb is serviced.
@@am75023 thanks for your reply… It was actually pre-ordered and came straight to me after it was uncrated and set up. Still in winter storage so we’ll see how it runs here in a few days. I only use ethanol free fuel in it.
I own a 2022 Rukus. Great bike for running in-town errands & just going for short rides. I have added an underseat bag, tunnel bag over the headlights & a real rear carrier plus riding pegs which increase handling. Mine has a max speed of 51mph on flat road no wind. Made a number of small changes all of which are beneficial. things like RPM gauge, Polini variator, CDI & ignition module, clutch plus at 225lbs, I use 4.5gram Dr. Pulley sliders plus an NCY variator face plate & an E3.38 spark plug not forgetting Michelin street tires. Another item is NEVER run Ethanol gas if you want performance. I also own both a HD Ultra Classic & Can Am Spyder. Have owned a Harley over 50 years & was not a weekender. The Rukus is just pure fun to ride & a joy to tune for maximum performance. I also restore muscle cars with my son as a Father/Son hobby. Just sold the 2008 Shelby GT500 convertible in Show condition.
*I have a few mods on my '08 Metro...but nowhere near 51-mph!* ( *Forty is 'all she wrote' w/my 230lbs. of fat-ass on it* ) *I prefer 'reliability & longevity' over 'high rpms' so no CDI/ignition changes for me* ) _______________ *Almost 6-years of grocery-toting and no problems which is a ton more that I can say for the other vehicles I've had in 68-yrs.of life now...I started w/a Honda 'Super-Cub' 90 on my 14th. @@gerrynightingale9045 40 is good. To achieve speed even approaching 50 requires a non-stock variator, face plate, at your weight 4.5 or 4.75gram average sliders, performance clutch & springs, street tires front 28psi rear 36psi, upgraded spark plug, a kevlar belt, tach, increased air flow, EVI (I don't like the generic DVI), carb jets & a tuned exhaust. Mine is basically stage 2. Mine will run 48/49 all the time & occasionally will top 50/51 on a cool day flat road. I only wanted to top out the 49cc GET engine without stretching it adding a CY6. Yes, you are right it does get a little squirrelly above 45 with drum brakes.

@@gerrynightingale9045 Interesting that you increased the air-flow using a permanent filter & increased the jet size without changing to a tuned exhaust. Thanks for the overview buddie. I'm on the market for a mini moto and this was helpful. I agree that this scooter could really benefit from a larger engine, at least a 110. The carb doesn't bother me, I'm used to tinkering and up keeping older bikes. I think this is a tad overpriced for what is offered and it seems redundant when the Navi exists. Those are just my thoughts. I think it would benefit folks to spend a little more to get a lot more.
I think the main selling point in this, is that it IS 49cc. At least where I live you don't need any kind of license for it other than a drivers license and you can take it on the street with plates. Anything higher than 50 requires a full motorcycle license.
I drove 49cc for years but went to 150cc a couple of years ago . The annual difference is 40 bucks in total, it still does 105+ mpg and costs less than 4k to buy new. It also has a CvT drive etc. Except for not wanting a motorcycle license i see no reason wharsocer anymore to go to below a 150cc, i truly recommend it. (Honda pcx 150)
I have put over 6000 miles on my 2020 Ruckus without a single problem. I don't think Honda should change anything. It's perfect the way it is now and IF you want to change anything there's tons of aftermarket support for them. Just leave it alone Honda.
On 2nd thought, I would actually take a 2022 Honda (Click) Vario 160 over a 2023 Honda Ruckus ⛽️ 🛵. The only bad thing about Honda is, the really cool stuff is only available overseas. I’d have to import it somehow….& not sure if that would cost me an arm & a leg lol.
Any information on the talon. I heard the dash was changed but not a lot besides that. I’ve heard rumor’s as usual about new at models but who knows lol. Thanks for the videos
I don't have any new videos on the Talon yet, sadly, everything is incredibly hard to come by these days so it's really limited how many videos I can pump out on X, Y and Z models. However, I do have a quick explanation of all the changes to the 2022 Talon lineup (that include the dash) at the bottom of this page: www.hondaprokevin.com/side-by-side-models/2022 Rumors on which models? Not sure if the "at" was supposed to be ATV or if it meant Africa Twin etc as there are a lot of rumors floating around on both lol so just wanted to double check before I touched on that ;) Yessir and thank you for supporting it all, I really appreciate it...
I bought my Ruckus brand new in 2005...my insurance company had to call head quarters, because the agent couldn't find it listed anyplace. I paid 1900 cash for it. There's been a couple of times where it was my ONLY transportation, and the only time it let me down was when the CVT belt shredded itself, 1/4 of a mile from home. I've added a luggage rack, ammo can side panniers, a windshield, leggings, and a bluetooth sound system. Just like my Honda lawnmower, starts EVERY spring first try! Are YOU FONDA YOUR HONDA?
Just grabbed a 2023 in same white and blue. First ruckas, thing is super solid. Navi you need a motorcycle license and it’s a same scooter lol. But that looks like salt damage from shipping on the kick start I noticed on all the new ruckas no matter the color
Ever since I watched, The Road is Life | Honda Ruckus | eGarage, I have wanted to have a red Ruckus to tour the USA. I failed and went with the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 but if I lived in a house and had a garage I would definitely have that Ruckus. To answer your question I would keep the 49cc because I believe some states do not require a license for under 50cc, but would like fuel injection. Sad to see they don't have the red anymore. Great video!
Oh yeah, it's lack of speed definitely hinders its overall functionality for a lot of people that would otherwise like to snatch one up. Struggling to stay at a steady 35-40 mph isn't something many want to deal with on the roads these days, especially with how many lunatics we've got out there that don't care about the safety of us out there on 2-wheels. It's a shame we've got to worry about what thieves will do when buying something. If only they'd crack down and actually punish a thief, how they should be punished... If you catch my drift lol!
I do not know what city you live in, but where I live, most of the city streets are 35 mph speed limit. I like it because it is the only bike I ever had that I can run full throttle in town and not get a ticket! Ha ha
A vacuum cleaner is actually louder. I ❤my peaceful little ruckus. On Country lanes I can stop and visit with the cows or chase butterflies. Goes really well with a tiny house minimalistic off grid slow living lifestyle ....💕😊a rusty old 4x4 pickup with a good heater waiting in the wings is a nice luxury for super nasty weather as a backup vehicle . Been thinking about naming mine “Tow-mater”
Omg if Honda came out with a 16 hp Ruckus I would have to make more room in the garage despite already having 2 bikes (Rebel 1100 DCT and Genuine Roughhouse with 70cc kit).
An engine that doesn’t exceed 100 cc’s piston displacement, A power drive system that doesn’t require the operator to shift gears, and A top speed of 30 mph or less on a level surface.
In my state, you must have a standard drivers license to drive any motorized vehicle on a public byway, but under 50 cc, no motorcycle added is necessary. Had a city cop stop me and afterwards I asked him why since I was not speeding and he said, you will not believe the number of drivers of scooters who think they do not have to have a basic license to drive one, often purchased after their license is suspended!
Upping the engine size would cut out the segment of the population with suspended drivers licenses. Adding an additional model with a 110 and some disc brakes would be sweet though!
That's why I'm here watching this video lol. I'm going to be riding mine somewhat illegally as I can't get my license back for quite some time and can't get a moped license. If I get pulled over on a ruckus I'll just be done with life lmao
i like the look of the ruckus, but it seems like your legs would be absolutely SOAKED if it rained, since its more of an open frame design rather than the Metropolatin's solid front piece
In NY, if a bike can exceed 30mph, you need a motorcycle license to operate it, so 49cc's are kinda dead. Other than that, I think they could potentially gain some success with an electric ruckus.
Oh yeah, you won't find anything easier to just putt around at the park and around your house etc. Plus the upside to its design is if you drop it, there aren't all kinds of plastics to break like most scooters and the turn signals bend etc so she can take a beating. The Ruckus tires will help you if you venture off-road unlike the Metropolitan to where they are strictly street tires. But yeah, definitely something that's super easy to cruiser around your house and the park etc on that's street legal so you can hop on the road and go somewhere legally if need be.
Great vid I have a 2023 Ruckus and bought a Chase Harper barrel bag for the front cradle Is there some way to stop it from blowing back with wind Thanks
Not to my knowledge, mine does the same thing….perhaps if you put some tools in it to give it some weight? I just keep some sunglasses and a pair of gloves in mine!
Hey guys, just started looking into getting a ruckus. Looking to get 3 of them so me and my sisters cam have fun this summer. With that said, anyone in Cali know of they would need an M2 endowment to ride these? I have an M1 so I'm not worried about myself. Thanks in advance ☺️
Wish like hell honda made a better key hole slot, i struggle with getting key in my 24 ruckus, don't kno if its issue on older models, but its horrible, and it freeze very easily in cold!!! Also iam 225 pounds and 43 mph is quite easy for ruckus, now when i first got it it was bad, after 400 miles it woke up really nicely!! When i first got it 35mph was hard to reach and it got there much slower, give it few 100 miles and you will see big improvement
Honda has recouped it engineering costs years ago. Why the constant price increases and why, a company the size of Honda can they only make a few bikes per dealer?
The Ruckus will always be 49cc, so folks without a MC Endorsement can enjoy commuting on two wheels. The ever-rising price and lack of upgrades, like LED lighting, storage options, fuel-injection, etc... is definitely lack-luster, but Honda also knows a majority of these scooters will not be kept stock.
So many ideas but none of them would make the price lower, except maybe build it in Cambodia or somewhere labor is cheap. They could bring in the Metro's fuel injection and maybe keep it compliant a little longer and maybe a fuel economy boost? I don't know what Metro milage is like. Sadly I think it's days are numbered as only enthusiasts will buy them. Have you seen how many bikes were chopped for this year already? The market is making big changes.
Oh yeah, the only way pricing is going to drop is if they move production outside of Japan as it's one of the last "cheaper" models to still come out of there. American Honda doesn't advertise an MPG rating for the latest Metropolitan but other corners of the world rate it at 80 km/l which comes out to about 188 MPG which is definitely a massive bump over the 114 MPG that American Honda advertises for the Ruckus. It's definitely going to be interesting to see what Honda decides to do with it over the next few years as like you said, there have been more and more getting the axe. I'd love to know how many American Honda actually sells as back in the day, Honda of Japan stated that their global annual sales were around the 3,500 unit mark. That was when they were being sold in more countries than they are now though. When will the slower sales make a difference to where it's not worth it to roll down the production line anymore? It's not a big draw these days but they still sell and if it's not costing them money to produce a few each year and they don't see the investment needed to update it as being "worth it", maybe they'll just keep it around in its current state as a filler model - kinda like the XR650L that's an even slower seller from my experience and just like the Ruckus, hasn't really been touched in decades. Definitely interesting times ahead...
@@HondaProKevin i understand the xr650 not being updated. It would probably take decades to make back what it would cost them to make it compliant and carry all the tech goodies people expect. The market is just too small. I actually expect it to be cancelled within a year or 2 of a Transalp release, if that ever happens. There's only so many ways to slice the offroad pie. Scooters I think still has a chance to grow if they can include the tech people want, make them usable for the average commute, emissions and safety compliant, get manufacturing costs under control, and come up with a marketing plan to make stubborn Americans want them. Now that I write it out there's quite a few obstacles to overcome. Good luck Honda.
Well I think the seat is too low.. I am taller and would hope Honda maybe would raise the seat about two inches on a Ruckus.. Plus with a higher seat you can see better.. Honda also needs add some plastic housing around the seat so you can have a solid storage compartment. The current Ruckus is the only scooter in the world that does not have a place to store things.
Nice points! Oh yeah, it's definitely the odd one out of the bunch with not having any storage. Thankfully that's fixed with $100 but a lot of people don't want to have to worry about spending more $$ on a machine that's already on the expensive side.
New to the Scooter lifestyle. Haven’t bought anything yet. What do u recommend if I just need it to get to work and home at speeds up to 40 miles. Don’t want anything big. Something small and compact but is reliable and bang for bucks? Any help would be greatly appreciated
I have actually always wanted one of these. I have also always wanted a monkey (or and old school z50) and like 4 more Groms so at the price they sell the ruckus, I’d rather buy a different model from their lineup.
You hit the nail on the head with why a lot of people don't have a Ruckus in the garage. Many of us would love to own one but at its current price point, there are too many other models close to it that will do more, have more features etc that we'd rather snatch up instead. Glad to see I'm not the only that would like about 4 more Groms etc lol! If I had my choice, I'd have multiples of each of the minimoto models, built for different types of shenanigans lol!
Why won't they bring us the zoomer x which makes me like basically wtf on top of with our emissions controls one would believe the 4v Liquid Cooled with fuel injection would of made more sence what we got
while the Honda is great quality, I prefer the Icebear Maddog frame/chopper style with front foot pegs that really let tall people stretch out (and with the Icebear i see some people are doing upgrades/tune ups).
I don't know why anyone would choose the 4HP, $2,800 Ruckus over the 9HP, $1,800 Navi. $1K cheaper, nearly twice the HP, almost the same MPG, and built in storage standard, plus a bike that will hit 55MPH is infinitely more versatile than one that will only hit 40. As motorcycles go, the Navi is pretty terrible, but as scooters go, it's the deal of the century.
For so many years, you would expect some accessories to go with it, but none from Honda is actually ridiculous. I seriously hate that seat without any storage.
Or I can just buy a maddog scooter that looks just like this and it has an optional 150cc gym motor unlike the Honda ruckus that only offers the 50cc water cooled motor. The seat on the maddog is lower. It comes with 12 or 14 inch wheels and tires. It also comes stretched as most people tend to do as well as lower bar position and it has foot pegs and it comes with integrated turn signals in the taillight and on the 5th gen the front turn signals are integrated into the battery box not sticking out. It also comes in black, white, blue, and red. The gauges are also located in the battery box not on the handle bar area and are digital.
Fine do that, but then you must have it registered, pay taxes on it yearly, and get it insured and tagged. I prefer to stay stealthy to the authorities!
Hi guys. I have my Honda Zoomer X in Thailand, it’s the same as Ruckus, but it is 110cc. The reason I like this bike is 1. Design 2. Low height convenient for women

Appreciate the support man ;)
this sums up my feelings currently
Mind you, adding a few $ without adding updates is to be expected as cost of manufacture (aka inflation) always play a part.
I wish it didn’t, otherwise 68 Nova would still be $2995.00!😂
It's 49cc for a reason, you don't need a license in a lot places.
Sadly the transportation cost and inflation hit Honda too. The Honda Navi in India cost about $800 USD and the Box was extra.
The reason Honda has the Navi not in the scooter lineup is it requires an actual motorcycle license. Good stuff Kevin. Thank you.
Lol's
@@StartGierachi believe you have to take a course. Once you pass, youll get your license

If Honda ever made a 125cc Ruckus. I'll definitely get one. Heck I'd get a 125cc Ruckus over the Navi
Oh yeah, I think a lot of people are right there with you on that one!
But... how much more would you pay for a Ruckus 125 over the NAVi 110?

2000, 2500.
Im down to own a 125cc ruckus over a navi anyday..
The 49cc engine is great because you don’t need a special license for it. Anything 50cc or above require license.
I believe its just above 50cc for license requirement but it might vary by state
My state requires a motorcycle license and registration on scooters no matter the engine size
California?
@@crazyhorse851 mississippi
Which country and state do you live in? I just wonder in Ontario Canada if it does not require driver license.

Nah, leave the 49cc engine in it for people that don't have a mcycle endorsement on their drivers license...👍😺
*Yeah, that's always the way things go..."I wish I had my scoot back"*
*My 'Metro' goes w/the house when I croak...I''ll never let it go because it's 'always ready when I am'*
I’ve had mine since March or may an it’s been the best bike I’ve ever owned
I’d buy one in a heartbeat if it was able to do at least 55, I have to be able to drive on the larger main roads to work.
I’ve watched a number of the hop up videos and seems like your tossing most everything but the frame to get the bigger engines in and cool fatty wheels on. At that point the maddog 150cc Chinese copy start looking good at 2000.00
I bought one yesterday! I love it so far. Super easy to ride and quiet. 😁😁
All I want is aftermarket suspension, and an under-seat bag. Then I'd be content with it completely.
How do you pick up your prostitutes with out the assenger seat?
fuel injection is overdue......needs some kind of basic luggage holder......stay at 49cc ( due to license restrictions) but with FI and a DOHC head 4 valves it would improve the performance .......Maybe 1 inch larger wheels , (alloys,) a disc brake......All would suffice to show an improvement
I just bought one myself lol

Ruckus exists because in USA people with suspended licences can ride them. Under 50 cc you don't need license or registration
Yessir, I couldn't tell you how many people I sold 49cc Honda scooters to back in the day for that reason!
An engine that doesn’t exceed 100 cc’s piston displacement,
A power drive system that doesn’t require the operator to shift gears, and
A top speed of 30 mph or less on a level surface.
Nope. You still need a license to drive on public roads
@@moorepower13 Wrong
In my state, you must have a standard drivers license to drive any motorized vehicle on a public byway, but under 50 cc, no motorcycle added is necessary. Had a city cop stop me and afterwards I asked him why since I was not speeding and he said, you will not believe the number of drivers of scooters who think they do not have to have a basic license to drive one, often purchased after their license is suspended!
I weigh in at 230. Keep your knees tucked in tight and lower your head. I see 41 mph tops. Great Scooter!
Upping the engine size would cut out the segment of the population with suspended drivers licenses. Adding an additional model with a 110 and some disc brakes would be sweet though!

i like the look of the ruckus, but it seems like your legs would be absolutely SOAKED if it rained, since its more of an open frame design rather than the Metropolatin's solid front piece
In NY, if a bike can exceed 30mph, you need a motorcycle license to operate it, so 49cc's are kinda dead. Other than that, I think they could potentially gain some success with an electric ruckus.

Would this be perfect for just riding around at the park or at your house?
Oh yeah, you won't find anything easier to just putt around at the park and around your house etc. Plus the upside to its design is if you drop it, there aren't all kinds of plastics to break like most scooters and the turn signals bend etc so she can take a beating. The Ruckus tires will help you if you venture off-road unlike the Metropolitan to where they are strictly street tires. But yeah, definitely something that's super easy to cruiser around your house and the park etc on that's street legal so you can hop on the road and go somewhere legally if need be.

We have owned two Rucki, and an older Metro with the Ruckus engine. While the Metro did get 114-115 mpg, the two Rucki I could only get about 95 mpg.
Agreed, keep raising price without any upgrade is ridiculous.
@@HondaProKevin The 188MPG figure is based on a British Imperial Gallon which is larger than a US Standard gallon. It's more like 120 mpg US.
I want a 100% Japanese made (including battery cells) electric Ruckus.
How tall are you
@@dujuanjohnson5025 six foot two..
With the Navi, it makes it very difficult for a reason to buy the Ruckus
New to the Scooter lifestyle. Haven’t bought anything yet. What do u recommend if I just need it to get to work and home at speeds up to 40 miles. Don’t want anything big. Something small and compact but is reliable and bang for bucks? Any help would be greatly appreciated
i will say get the ruckus if you dont have a motorcycle license other then that if you have one get the Navi
Big Ruckus please! C’mon HONDA!!!!
They had it and it was a flop!
I actually just sang this in my head…
Barenaked Ladies…
If I Had a Million Dollars..
“….Haven’t you always wanted a monKEY!”🤣🍺🇨🇦
Always check the used market first (if you can handle minor repair issues). A lot of low mileage stuff out there for a lot less money.
I'd like fuel injection for 2024. Chase Harper and others have the storage taken care of.
A faster engine would be great. At least a 125cc.
The PCX 160 is like a unicorn rear and hard to find.. Who sells them?
Why won't they bring us the zoomer x which makes me like basically wtf on top of with our emissions controls one would believe the 4v Liquid Cooled with fuel injection would of made more sence what we got
while the Honda is great quality, I prefer the Icebear Maddog frame/chopper style with front foot pegs that really let tall people stretch out (and with the Icebear i see some people are doing upgrades/tune ups).
Love the extra funny content 😂
I don't know why anyone would choose the 4HP, $2,800 Ruckus over the 9HP, $1,800 Navi. $1K cheaper, nearly twice the HP, almost the same MPG, and built in storage standard, plus a bike that will hit 55MPH is infinitely more versatile than one that will only hit 40. As motorcycles go, the Navi is pretty terrible, but as scooters go, it's the deal of the century.
or clash 200 for $2,000 that can hit 65 mph but it's made in china. sounds like reliability is a L
Loved my Ruckus when I had it, but I wouldn't plan on making one fast. The axles feel sketchy over 40, and the brakes are trash tbh.
Can you please keep everything in USA 🇺🇸 specs only please
49cc do drivers need driver license in Ontario?
I’m tired of looking at brand new mopheads with under powered engines I don’t like buying garbage right out the gate can you please make them better.
For so many years, you would expect some accessories to go with it, but none from Honda is actually ridiculous. I seriously hate that seat without any storage.
I found out my 2007 ruckus didnt like a whole bottle of octane booster
Can I Swap in the 160?
Is their a weight limit??
I LOVE DCT AND CVT SYSTEMS. NOW I CAN USE A BIKE IN THE CITY . NO JOY CHANGING GEARS IN MANHATTAN.
I hope they bring back big ruckus
