The Ruck is my around town errand bike & I installed a real rear carrier to hold a strap on 7 gallon HTC box for the times I pick up odds & ends. The Ruck also fits well in the back of the Tundra when I go camping pulling a 32' Jayco. The Ruck is a mechanics dream, parts are cheap, easy to adjust & downright fun to ride. Mine is a 2022, Have the Rolling Ruck's EVI & ignition, Polini variator with Dr. Pulley Sliders, kevlar belt, performance clutch, performance variator face & what is absolutely necessary is a real tachometer. At Sea Level, on flat ground no wind - my top speed is 48/49mph & will cruise steady at 45mph. My weight above Rukus curb is 230lbs including under seat bag, front barrel bag & rear carrier plus me. I also do not use ethanol gas & prefer the E3.38 spark plug & 10/30 pure synthetic oil filled to 3/4 capacity plus Michelin street tires using 29psi front & 36psi on the rear . For top speed increase, you must exceed 8850rpm's & preferably run above 9000. For those of us above 200lbs, this means 4 or 4.5gtam sliders possibly 3 of each to average 4.25grams.
My little brother goes 55mph on his ruckus. He has done everything though. Big Ported and decked head, cam, big carb, intake, piggy back ecu, metropolitan final drive and all the variator turning. Honestly it's stupid, if you are thinking of doing any of this just get a better bike. He rides a grom instead of his built ruckus.
when installing the variater there is no reason to take off the belt or the clutch just the variater and the rolls dont need to have a flat spot they are mostly round on other rolls the variater also normally only give acceleration
Even though it’s a scooter and 49cc it can only run 35mph or it has to be tagged and insured or at least that’s how my state is. I know if you’re caught here going over 35 and only have a moped tag then you get a ticket.

Waaaait so I don’t need motorcycle license for a ruckus 🤦🏽♂️ I’m in SoCal
You might in California
Love my Ruck, also own a Spyder RTS, HD Ultra Classic, Tundra 4x4 Crew Limited & an 08 Shelby GT500 convertible for Sunday Shows.
Looks like it's out near Todd creek. Love your videos man, just got a grom as my first motorcycle a month ago. Love your channel
I live in Denver 👌
I want to get one soon 🔜
Used to use a calender instead of a stopwatch to test acceleration of these bikes🤣
Fast and ruckus don't mix
Very very good
Can you leave link for CDI and variators> Thanks!
Cool story, who asked btw?
Is it possible for me to go with it for a distance of 400km none stop?
You will need to stop for fuel unless the tank is modified.
cool scooter. looks like the flatest part of CO, ideal for scooters
So glad I finally found this. Did a 12inch stretch and couldn't remember where one of the wires went back to for the cdi lol
250 Ruckus... 😉
How much is the Honda ruckus
I want to go on some hiways to visit relatives 50 miles away...
Better get a bigger bike, a moped is an awful terrible option to go far, 2 strokes can go truly fast but that doesn't ring to me the word "reliable"
when installing the variater there is no reason to take off the belt or the clutch just the variater and the rolls dont need to have a flat spot they are mostly round on other rolls the variater also normally only give acceleration
ayy! I got a 22 gray as well! Denver here!
Even though it’s a scooter and 49cc it can only run 35mph or it has to be tagged and insured or at least that’s how my state is. I know if you’re caught here going over 35 and only have a moped tag then you get a ticket.
I seriously would love to see someone getting pulled over for going over the supposed speed limit for a 50cc scooter 😂that shit ain't happening unless it's obvious you modded the bike and have no license plate
That looks like it would be fun to have one of those
after the mods are installed is it still classified as a 49cc?
You might look into some new tires also more street oriented.
Talk about low price mods...that are good
In TX need a license to drive Honda Ruckus!
