This is the first of three videos in this series. Next week I'll show you the Bench Press competition and you will not believe how much these people can lift! We are setting new channel PRs left and right. Much love for each and every one of you and I do appreciate how hard you all have been working. It pays to be fit!!
“YEAH BUDDY!” as Ronnie Coleman would say It really does pay to be fit. You can get good results by working out consistently and by having a good diet. You guys don’t have to get payed by Nick Symmonds for you guys to believe “it pays to be fit”.
The dude in the Rick and Morty shirt was a good sport, he could have argued if that was good but he accepted that he didn't get to depth. That shows character!
@@RaikageSama It actually needs to be lower than 90 degrees. For a squat to count, it needs to be convincingly deep for the judges. He also should've limited equipment to just knee sleeves, wrist wraps, and a belt for squats. People had knee wraps which gave them a big advantage like the guy who tried 605 lbs. But of course, the meet was just for fun and is nothing official. Very entertaining as well! I'm glad that the guy who did 600 had minimal equipment(besides elbow sleeves) and got convincingly deep.
Dad Bod was definitely deserving of the crown. Quite a few of the lifts were nowhere near a full rom squat and full rom should be important for fair competition. Also especially with the weight getting up in the numbers, I really hope the main and side spotters are on point because if that last dude had went lower I could see it going sour very quick. All in all great video and great job to all the competitors and motivational cheering in the back.
@@makaveli3they can add that much?! That's wild. Tells me that I can probably squart 450+, if that's the case. I don't exactly try to max anything though.

Dadbod is an absolute monster no doubt but the leaner dude that did 510 at 9:08, man I'd be perfectly ecstatic to have that level of strength in that frame/size. Most I've ever done is 325 @ 170 body weight, but I've also only been lifting for 18 months.
@@basicmeme1040Yeah, just because a guy can squat a lot of weight doesn’t mean they’re fit. I’m sure the black guy at the end couldn’t even run a mile lol.

Great video, love your channel 💪🏼💪🏼and love it when you do challenges where there is the Men's and the Women's events, so it's not Men vs Women. $500 to the strongest Woman and $500 to the strongest Man is defo the way to go! I got a friend that is 17, i don’t know his max but I’ve seen him, do 420lbs on bench press(he beat the record for the first to do 180kg under 18 years in Norway, yet he managed even more), I’ve seen him do 570lbs in squats but he did like 3 reps on that, and I’ve seen him deadlift like 700lbs, he is insane
You should have made a rule for no knee wraps. Wraps can add upwards of 100-200+ lbs to the squat, depending on the elasticity and how well they are wrapped. It's unfair to put them against people using knee sleeves; there's a reason why there are raw and equipped categories in powerlifting.
@@Byron5429 It still added a lot of weight to their max. It's usually the guys with asymmetrical bodies (small legs, huge upper body, as you can see in this video) that use knee wraps because it makes up for their poverty squat. The Dadbod guy's legs are 3 times bigger than everyone else's there, so it came at no surprise from me seeing him destroy everyone else, even the ones with wraps on.
I was going to start yelling about how a lot of the squats would have been no lifts due to depth, but I see the internet has already done my work for me. Rules and technique matters!
