The biggest difference between this and the short (where tons of folks are saying the manager was in the right), is that the longer video shows that you did move of the property; completely changes the dynamic. Also, shows that the dude's complaints of harassing customers wasn't even backed up by the people he was talking about (as they came in and enjoyed the challenge). Well done
I used to be assistant manager at Planet Fitness. This would have been awesome to be a part of. Keep doing what you are doing. Great video
I'd be surprised if that Regional Manager is not reprimanded for his toxic behavior on camera while he represents that brand. Absolutely embarrassing for him in a moment of opportunity to show how Planet Fitness supports well being challenges.
If I was his boss that would be his last day.
@@deltalima6703 you're an idiot. Yes he was aggressive but he quite literally saved the company millions. If someone got hurt. PF is held LAIBLE meaning they can and WILL be sued. The only thing he deserves is a refresher on how to engage with basically someone loitering and his customer service. Other than that he did what he needed too.
The Planet Fitness business model IS toxicity. "No judgement" then has a literal alarm & flashing lights for people that actually put in effort. They feed people tootsie rolls & pizza.
@@TLM-Nathan Based on his linkedin he only ended up working there 3 more months after this video came out.
He said "leave my members alone like he was saving them from being harassed or something."
What a clown.
This so-called regional manager is someone who has very little decent communication skills. The female police officer, on the other hand, approached the situation in a professional manner. Nick, you handled everything perfectly, and l love being a subscriber. Great videos.
Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺
Great content as usual and LOL at Bro, took his badge off like he's going to do something LOL
my favorite moment was when he threw his badge down on the sidewalk! He came in looking for a fight.
@nicksymmonds what a legend 😅
I loved the end. Police woman says. I have seen your videos. They're cool. It pays to make good fun content for the whole family. Great job Nick!
Great job for standing up to yourself Nick!
“What’s your best lift?”
“Probably leg press”. That’s the most planet fitness reply possible 😂
I mean... them hoes are cheat codes. All the mechanical assistance. The leg press is literally everyone's best lift. Unless for obvious medical reasons.
Mine is also leg press 😢
@@skiney Forget the press and practice squats. Full leg workout.
@@TheScribeScribe almost full the hamstrings role on that is just stabilization, they almost don't have activation, but squats are the really the best for the quads and glutes
@@skiney if I could offer some advice, stop doing it, it’s not worth it
Content creator was argumentative and immediately left when asked to leave cuz he was in the wrong. It’s private property. It’s a liability issue more than anything for planet fitness. People have to look at things logically.
That Manager was a royal Duche 🎒! Great video as always Nick!
Nicks a perfect example of how to handle such situations! Nick's fit in both mind and body!
Hi Nick Symmondas I am a huge fan of yours and you inspired me to start running last year and I have loved it ever since. Thank you so much.
That guy was SOOO close to lifting 315! The closest bench press miss I've ever seen
@Brandon Joseph you’re a fkn beast man keep it up
@Brandon Joseph dude I was rooting for ya! Even my gf told me to shut up cause I was being loud lmao
@Brandon Joseph you did! but did you get the money tho? i was waiting for Nick to hand you 225 lmao 😆
@@ImBrandonJoseph That was so close! I'm rooting for you! Keep working 💪💪 but your already stronger than the majority!
I've had about 2 failures like that, in my 20s. Instead of being 1/2 a pound short you're 1/100 of a pound short. It's really frustrating. Nowadays though I am triceps dominant, so once I hit that 2/3 mark it's gonna go.
Mad respect to the way you stood your ground to that guy 👏👏👏
actually he didnt unfortunately
Stop bothering my 10 dollar a month customers, with fitness tests.. CLASSIC.. keep going Nick, good work..
hate to see ppl tear down something positive. keep doing what you're doing Nickk, you're changing lives brotha. 💪🏽🙏🏽
I don't know how you did it... but you set off the lunk alarm OUTSIDE Planet Fitness!! That's impressive!
W to the camera man listing 205 and ngl that cop was super chill
That guy was on a power trip. Love your videos bro.
The 17 year old putting up more weight than he could imagine was epic! Loved the video even though you had to wrap up abruptly due to none sense conflict from PF. Good job on how you handle the situation. Pays to be fit, and positive!
Nick is awesome. Super encouraging. No put downs at all.
Nick was being so nice to the regional manager and he even moved his spot. The cops were probably like aren't there more important things than stopping people from benching.
Aaaah! That one guys was so close at 315! 9:07 Was rooting for him - great effort 👍
I love how the manager just ended up giving Nick more content for his channel in the end 😂
Much respect Nick! You're a stand up guy. That manager must be unhappy or having a bad day and decided to take it out on you. You were respectful and also held your ground. Awesome job brother.
The dumbest part of the manager is that this would actually help bring more people into his gym. Also this was an oddly strong PF customer base. 😂
You really think they want people to go there?
yeah no sane lifter would actually pay for a pf membership
@@TehNiCoLaS In all fairness, the facilities are clean, and the price tag is extremely reasonable. It just sucks that your workout equipment is extremely limited, and some fit people get judged there.
@@aplive58 I forgot how bad it was lol. I used to be a member cause of how cheap it was and convenience since it was right outside my job but missed all the free weights. So I switched to another gym. Well a coworker of mine bought me a day pass to work out with her for my bicep day and I was shook. I didn't remember their heaviest ez bar (the crooked ones with the weights in the side for curls) only being 60 pounds and their heaviest dumbells only being 70lbs. I had to do so much volume to weight to get a decent workout instead of my typical weight to volume style.
@@BronzedBeast They also don't have Olympic bench presses and barbells. I'm satisfied for the overall experience, but just wish there were more.
*that moment the cops agrees with your channel*
The words
*I've seen your videos I think they're cool* says it all.🏋️♂️🏋️♂️💪🏆👏🤣
I’m enlisted in the Marines(I leave for boot camp September 25) and when you enlist in the military you reserve the job that you want. I picked Military Police because a lot of family members are law enforcement. I asked them how I can be the best MP. They told me don’t let the power get to you. Which sadly happens to many people.
That’s right! Do it to help people
The "Regional Manager" was just mad that he can't bench 135. Nick made him question his career choice in the fitness industry. Love the content Nick, keep it coming!
you do great things for the community, people just wana see the world burn. Keep at it, you've been a motivator since your 2008 800 Olympic trials event.
Thank you Nick Symmons to remind us that they are kind people still on this earth like you, if it was me I'd feel so put down and I'd just leave but you stood your ground, you're the best have a blessed day, God bless you
Nick showing the olympic spirit in standing up for himself 🤣
Hey nick I’m 14 and I think that you should do one of these challenges in Austin, I would definitely get me and all of my friends to come!
Love your videos Nick. That assistant regional manager is a tool, don’t let him discourage you from making more positive content ❤️
Nick you handled the regional manager so well. Also I just learned they need a regional manager for a local facility.. planet fitness doesn’t cease to amaze me
and he wears a standard polo and a name badge
I subscribed specifically because of how well you handled that situation. Class.
"I wanted to see the regional manager put up three plates" absolutely killed me, this day just keeps getting better and better. Thanks Nick
You know that clown just eats the free planet fitness pizza and can barely put up 225
No more liberating action than to give kindness for unkindness! Way to go nick! He doesn't realize he is only creating suffering for himself.
actually a slap to the face is more liberating
@@strammerdetlef i agree, nothing feels better and all the rage comes out and you just feel good again.
@@Olibio2408 its also a nice thing to remember, u will be confident with ur decision for even decades and enjoy thinking back everytime instead of "I should have"
Thank you for showing us the manager hissy fit.
It baffles me how some people can’t see the free publicity. He could have joined himself to promote his place!
It was surprising to see so many people undershoot their PR. Like when they tried their "max" it absolutely flew up. It's usually the other way around where someone says 315 and they likely couldn't do 275.
The guy setting a 30lb lifetime PR at 17yrs old though, huge props to that dude. That must feel amazing
Yeah these guys were all pretty humble and chill, good to see!
The way you handled that regional manager and when the cops arrived was magical
I really wish that the cop would have lifted
8:40 "question is how much can you bench?" 🤣🤣🤣
I've been waiting for your videos, they're always so entertaining
Thank you for watching!
Dude really confirming the planet fitness stereotype 😂
Nick actually taught those two ladies how to bench. Something their gym should have been helping them with. They looked more like the cardio type but nothing wrong with slinging a little iron.
That 275 pr was mad impressive grind, hella respect
Points for you Nick, that cop said she watches your videos 🤩
Man my perception of 225 lbs is warped. These videos just makes me feel better about myself lol. Thanks for the video and all the positivity!
Yep ppl can say whatever on the Internet but the reality of it is well u see the video.
Hey, Nick! This just popped up on my feed today. You now have a new subscriber and you've inspired me to start lifting again after about 2 years off.
Calm, cool and composed Nick! You were so calm to carry on with your next challengers even after those interruptions and diatribes! Tough to do that!
I love how calm and collected nick stayed despite the ridiculousness of that manager and how respectful he was to the cops. You don't see that too much anymore.
and I dislike it, would have prefered a well deserved slap to the face
Well, there really wasn't any danger of anything happening as long as he stays cool. The assistant shower stall boy was sure trying to egg him on though. Without taking the bait, the worst the police could do is issue a trespass order, which is like a warning for speeding. Instead, he got a warning to get a warning. And Ass. Shower Stall boy went home feeling like a winner. So good moods all around. :)
One of the best videos I've seen Nick. I love the emotion from this video I keep catching myself watch this whole video 😂. Please do more of these Nick you are definitely appreciated for all the awesome content. Its also awesome that you stand up for yourself; i respect what you go through out there in the streets.
How cool would it have been if the cop just got down and did the challenge? 🤣 "Sorry Mr regional manager, I'm a subscriber"
"I'm the regional manager."
"What region?"
"...this one?"
"So you're the day manager at a Planet Fitness?"
*calls cops*
Been training 20 years for you guys to come over to the east coast. Keep up the positivity and doing what Planet Fitness doesn't: helping people hit PRs.
Respect that the cop watches Nick's videos. ❤
This is why home gyms are best
True, i only Miss the gym Girls sometimes
Planet fitness is trash 😤
@@Prokilla486 lmao :D
Good old Planet Fitness strikes again. XDXD
Seriously though, you handled that well! And the cop knowing about your videos was hilarious! 😂
Keep it up Nick, these videos are always so fun and inspiring!
Yeah!!! Red headed dude in the cutoff! Nice!!! He totally underestimated himself. Now he knows....
Planet fitness always doing the most 🤣 it pays to be fit 💪🏽
Fr
Way to stand your ground respectfully but stern! Keep up the good work nick!
I would never work out at a planet fitness. This guy single handedly is the reason many won’t.
I am 16 I weigh 145 lb and bench 180 lb. When i started benching 2 months my max was 140lb.
All i did to get to this point was bench 115lb for 4-5 sets and around 15-8 reps.
Im from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦
Good stuff brother, representing Canada well
Great videos as always, but just a small nitpick man. Consider using cross grip while spotting heavy bench presses, it’s safer in general. Also loved how you handled the interaction with that rude guy
good call on the reverse grip! especially at heavier weights
17 years for 275 lbs i know dudes that are training 6 or 7 years to lift it up .I'm really impressed the kid is a beast !😮
glad i cancelled my mbrship at that "gym" seeing someone act like that.. Love seeing all the places in Eugene! Maybe once Ill actually be in the right place at the right time for one of these challenges!
Man this cop was so chill, she even watches you lol
Hey Nick thanks for the opportunity brotha and sorry about my boss. 🙏🏾
The guy saying “leave my customers alone” when the customers arent even near the entrance! He only assumed they were planet fitness customers because of their clothing.
