I think the new Celerons are gonna be nothing compared to the pentiums If the rumors are true, the Celerons Will have only 1,1 ghz on their cpus to work with, compared to 4,4 on the new pentiums
My I-5 2nd gen Dell full sized PC finally bit the dust. As a retired widower I couldn't afford a new computer. My Son bought me this one. It is amazing. Fast and it comes with Windows 11 Pro. My son was impressed because it plays Diablo III flawlessly and well as World of Warcraft. I am very happy with it. Who would think you could put so much power is such a small Comp.
Finally, the solution to my IT problems. Its so hard trying to navigate a budget option that is both compact and powerful, like somewhere inbetween a laptop and a pc, even with my years of knowledge of computers, I just never thought of mini PCs. I will definitely be buying this one
Have to say BeeLink is killing it lately picked up two SER 3 Mimi PC as of this year ( AMD Ryzen 7 and a AMD Ryzen 3) and I am very happy with them . This looks like it may be a great way to test out if Linux gaming may be for you on the cheap. Thanks will keep an eye on this as it may be useful for future projects ( Media Play back box for the living room).
anyone remembers chuwi’s larkbox? my interest peaked thanks to ETA, I had an idea after the review and wanted to make a dedicated emulationstation. obviously performance would be way better then raspberry pi4. in short, when my larkbox arrived, I converted it to linux, then finally into a dedicated emulationstation. larkbox will be used for awhile for anything retro until maybe pi5. Thanks ETA
BeeLink is a solid company. I have 2 tiny units about 8-9 years old. Slow in 2021, one with Windows 10 and the other with Windows 10 Pro. One is still used to a degree and the other I'm going to try to put Linux on it. Because they are old they aren't going to be much good above 1080P because they don't have the horsepower. That is important to me as I was working remotely years before COVID and a couple of years after I got them, I tried out a 4K TV to use as a monitor. For the real estate that 4K offers. They really can't keep up. But, that's not really their fault.
I have the Beelink UH9 mini PC & it works great for my needs except it has a USB C port for a third monitor & I've actually tried multiple Linux distros on it good video 👍🏼
Been waiting for something low-end that runs Wii games but also handles new 2D arcade style games. I was close to getting the Lenovo DesktopTiny you covered a few times, but this seems like it's solid.
These lower end machines that compete with the pi4, it would be great to run a Linux server with Open Media Vault, Plex and some docker containers for home server use with low idle power. Would love to see a more server oriented roundup for that style of config. I currently run a Pi 4 and am curious if the extra cost would be worth it, and if the idle temps would be better.
I would appreciate if you could test games like Minecraft, Terraria, Enter the Gungeon, The Binding of Isaac, Streets of Rogue etc. when testing these mini PCs.
This made me look up their other mini-PCs. I quite like the 3200U based PC. The minimum spec version with a 3200U, 8GB RAM, and 256GB SSD is plenty good enough for as little HTPC. Has dual channel RAM and performance is a little better than the Celeron version. It is basically a low power Athlon 3000G, of which I've got two.
My Asus computer from 2016 running Windows 7x64, takes 102 Watts to run. The possibility of decimating it down to 10W or so, is very attractive. All I do all day is watch YT videos and google stuff.
Ditto! My old PC is very power hungry like yours, and isn't compatible with Windows 11. I wanted something inexpensive, power efficient, and Windows 11 compatible, so I bought a Mini S. I'm not a gamer, so it should be fine for my needs. It's being delivered tomorrow. Incidentally, I watch a lot of YT too, and I Google stuff a lot too!
@@marcse7en Looks like you got yourself a descent mini PC on the cheap. Is it what they advertised? or is it as slow as other mini PCs that are missing drivers, and come with a world of problems?
The power supply could have a bit more capacity, there is not headroom so once you add a drive and say mouse+keyboard+speakers you're at the limit or even over at times.
You tested so many systems over the last month and years. Thanks for that first! 🙌🏼 Is there any chance that we get a recommendation-overview video (by performance or system to emulate related to price) from you? 😁 Maybe also other viewers want to know what to buy for their bugs? 💸
SSD failure is very common issues with this pc after windows update. A long term review with latest windows 11 update will be very much appreciated. Keep up the good work thank tou
This is Nvidia shield money, you could literally just use this in place of a streaming stick. I'd also say it would be a good solution to "smartify" a multibay external drive enclosure if you didn't want to for a proper NAS, Just VHB tape it to the side 😅
Hi, your channel is really good. Did you change the thermal paste on the apu to see if the working temperatures would drop, thus improving performance? I've seen that other RUclipsrs did this process on other Beelink mini PCs and had a significant reduction in temperatures. The thermal pastes that came from the factory were practically stone.
Hi there, I wanted to ask you if there's any possibility that you can make a video with the top 5 let's say, best mini PC for different budgets, like the best for 200, the best for 350, and so on. Mentioning the pros and cons of each. Because there're SO MANY models out there I honestly don't know what to do. Thanks in advance.
this kind of pc are really nice to have when all you want is to have a pc to use to access the net and basic computing tasks or serve as a mini player when connected to a bigger screen. I've repurposed my old laptop for the same cause. Now I play 1080p movies on the family's 1080p old sony bravia. Yes, I know it's not the same as those levels approaching Linus' kind of home theatre set-ups but my family could care less, as long as we huddle together munching chichirias while watching 'em movies, we're good.
ali has fanless N6005 mini pc at szbox etc. also is sold as Newsmay AC8. it costs only little higher. it's interesting as is. and with a fan placed near case holes or case situated on a notebooks' cooling pad. good PS2 support is important, mb it may do with adequate temperatures. Also, a video about gamepads in Windows 10 can be interesting for console emulating - there are many models, mb useful tricks to say.
Should I get the U59 or Mini-s? I'm gonna use it for light office work, light video editing, coding and regular quality streaming and occasionally gamepass cloud gaming.
I've one arriving tomorrow. Honestly if they get the price down on these you are better off with something like this over a raspberry pi. I bought a raspberry pi and I've always been super disappointed with it. But it did teach me a bit about Linux. Hopefully the mini s will work out for me better. Sure the people over at raspberry pi will come out with something new but I won't be jumping in on that.
A lot of these Mini PC don't run a lot of the retro games very good. I would be interested in one of the Mini Pc that has the built in retro games and runs all the Retro games with no hiccups. Thanks for the great video.
I don't see why adding another USB-C would have that much of an effect on the price. We see USB-C on devices costing a fraction of this. All in all its OK but I do wonder whether this particular model might find itself becoming overshadowed by devices with the new Rockchip RK3588 SOC's, especially from an emulation gaming and video playback perspective. Intel pricing really isn't as competitive at this end as it should be. So overall, sadly a meh from me.
Thanks for the video ETA Prime!!! If i can do a suggestion, how 'bout batocera/recalbox running on the mini S? I've seen J4125 performing amazingly even early/easy-to-run ps2 titles, i'm curious on how a box-arcade with this Mini S would perform...
I am debating to choose between 2 similar-priced Mini PCs, one is with the 8109u processor and 8gb ram and the other is the N100 processor with single channel 16gb ram. I'm wanting to connect it to my TV for streaming and playing since emulation now and then as well as some office work. Any suggestions please?

(For example, to drive on Mario Kart Wii, or do the twist jump in Super Mario Wii... you need to flick the joystick)
