I've been kind of watching Fallout: London's development with mixed interest until now but this summary has got me convinced that I have to try it out once it's released, there's so much more to the mod than I realized. I'll have to figure out how to use separate mod lists for the game. I don't want to throw out my load order entirely, I'd like to keep my main save intact and usable, but I also don't want to run any unnecessary mods over Fallout: London and ruin the experience.
I was hoping at least some of the factions would lean into the futuristic elements, as opposed to just being *everyone* in historical costumes with a dash of post apocalypse. Like, in Fallout: Vegas, you had Caesar's Legion, you had a gangster club, a biker gang and a cowboy town. But you also have a technocrat hoarder society, a wannabe modern government with sci-fi rangers, a workers cooperative, and a megalomaniac in a computer.
I was hyped already for this mod, but the fact that CallMeKevin is one of the voice actors in this mod takes my excitement to a whole new level!! To those who are trashing the mod for not being available on console - Look at the size of this mod. It's not just adding tiny little details or items to the game. This mod is literally recreating the ENTIRE GAME. They're replacing the ENTIRE map, adding HUNDREDS of new quests, THOUSANDS of new assets, and gameplay mechanics that arent even in vanilla Fallout. This mod most definitely will be AT LEAST 90 - 100GB in size. As far as I know, and I may very well be wrong about this, the only way to use mods on console is via the in-game modding feature, which is run through Bethesda and I'm 99.999% certain that their database couldn't host such a massive mod nor do I think the console builds of Fallout even support the massive overhaul this mod does without running into several hundred problems. which I think he actually did do on an old old Terry prachet game way back in the day, and if so well done guys, as that is a hell of a catch, also with the soundclips you show of the VA's in this between the other youtubers and the like
a key thing to help with the sound might be to get the microphones to be set up at a set distance when recording among the team, as when they do professional VA work in a studio the microphone is always about 6 inches away and up, and it always gives off a unique sound thanks to the nature of that and the booth
as some of those sounds were a we rough and a little off, not the worst I've heard but sometimes that sound mix and distance stuff can pull you out by accident just by the quality difference in the sound like that,
