  • On VOA 60: Over 55,000 people have fled fighting in the capital of Sennar, a state in Sudan’s southeast region, amid ongoing fighting between the nation’s army, the Sudanese Armed Forces, SAF, and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, RSF.
Plus, South Africa’s new cabinet which comprises politicians of different affiliations under the government of national unity, GNU, on Wednesday was sworn into office at a ceremony held in Cape Town. The makeup of the new administration has received criticism from black nationalist parties such as the Economic Freedom Fighters and the uMkhonto weSizwe party, led by former members of the ruling African National Congress, Julius Malema and former President Jacob Zuma.
