Then they talk about Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher's new movie "What Happens in Vegas". They watch the trailer and pick it apart. (5-9-08)

There's something to be said about saying you don't like something as an adult but being able to recall with sharpest accuracy every major plot point and character from your childhood. There's got to be a foreign word for it somewhere.
Anthony’s really is an intelligent guy; when he describes an event that happened, or when he describes something like his old job installing AC units; he articulates so many details to paint a picture for the listeners.
As opposed to Opie; who would stutter, mispronounce words often, couldn’t read simple sentences, & make a story that should take 1 minute to describe & would stretch it out to 2 & 1/2 minutes because he pauses & repeats himself.
Of course Ant didn’t like Speed Racer

i know it was a joke but looked it up because i watched it as a kid but obviously was in reruns. Ant was 6 or 7 when it released. had no clue it was only one season. a bigger shock to me than knowing star trek was less than 3 full seasons.

This was the year I stopped watching new movies. Everything was a remake. I'm sure great stuff has been made since. Besides, I'm sick of these loud actors shoving their politics down your throat.

Ant may have seen 88 Minutes because the movie was made and released outside the US way before its American release. It was so awful it took forever for any US distributor to put it out even though it's a Pacino vehicle. It's so bad.

Not a fan of the never-ending parade of capeshit movies nowadays, but I do take solace in the fact that they helped kill hackneyed Hollywood cop-thrillers and big-budget rom-coms. You _never_ hear about those anymore and the ones that do manage to get made end up bombing horrifically.
I was literally going to write the opposite, but in the same spirit regarding the black hole of writing that Hollywood has become. I was gonna say after a decade of nonstop capeshit and lazy reboots, What Happens In Vegas almost seems creative by comparison, even when fully knowing it was also cringe formulaic trash that you couldn’t pay me to watch. Hollywood has been in a state of rapid creative decline since the turn of the century. The good movies are fewer and further between as you progress along the timeline.

I only watch 88 minutes at the part where Alicia Witt is tied up and gagged with Rosamund Pike was dangling off of her.. Then Leelee Sobieski slaps the shit outta her when Pacino barely slides his pistol 2 feet in front of him..Haha The redhead behind Al in this screenshot, that is Alicia Witt. Edit hahaha they talk specifically about the scene i was describing as I finished posting it.
Pacino went over the top at some point and has very rarely come back. He and Jack Nicholson have a lot on common where they start out as serious actor and at some point change to what they are known for now.
