- Jimmy watched Star Wars: The Phantom Menace the other day. They talk about a review for he saw online for it, the prequels and Hayden Christensen. Then they talk about how bad some upcoming movies look like he Big Year and Jack and Jill. Which leads them to discuss Adam Sandler for a bit. His career taking a dive. Glengarry Glen Ross is brought up and Ant talks about Menace II Society being a good movie. (10/17/11)

The Star Wars reviews Jimmy's talking about are by 'RedLetterMedia' and are labeled as 'Mr Plinket' reviews. All of their stuff is pretty funny but particularly those Star Wars reviews, and, incidently their Half in the Bag review of Jack and Jill where they heavily break down the inflated budget (80M I think) compared to the money visible on screen (in effects/locations/etc) and all the ways of creating revinue beyond selling tickets through the massive product placement in the film. Really interesting stuff, highly recomended.
They just teased a new Plinket video.
I saw, even though I don't care about ghostbusters, I'm always excited for Plinket anal-sis
Not much warms my awful heart as much as hearing Ant laughing at Mr. Plinkett.

DKCG 0113 the prequels were almost as bad as the the new ones. The first 2 were amazing then the rest of the Star Wars movies fucking stunk

I always tought Opie keeps quiet because he actually likes whatever they're making fun of.
The prequel movies weren't great to be sure, but at least I wanted to see them. At least I wanted to finish the trilogy. Fast forward to the sequel movies, and after The Last Jedi it was over for me. Gave 0 fucks about anyone in the movie, and never bothered to watch Rise of Skywalker. Have no desire to see it, and never will.
I gave up after The Force Awokens

To be fair, most black movies do. Even good movies like Menace and Boyz N the Hood are centered around black crime and guns etc. And then you have awful black movies like Soul Plane or remakes of white movies and it shows the complete unoriginality of them.

I had to watch Glen Gerry Glen Ross right after listening to this. It's so uneventful but so good. I've probably watched it at least 6 times in a month.

Menace was a brilliant film. As someone that lived in South Central in the 90’s, they fuckin NAILED it.

Don't have anything personal against Sandler, he seems like a good guy in real life, but he has literally never made me laugh. Even Happy Gilmore, which is semi funny, was only funny because of the side characters.
