Fuji just made the Firmware better with firmware 3.0. People say good stuff about it. So keep my words with a grain of salt with this update. I sold the X-H2S already, so I can't test it. However, I still think it was the right decision in my case because having access to fast ultra-wide zooms is important for my usual content. However, Fuji will always be a part of this channel. I just got my girlfriend an X-S10 and when I see a good deal on an X-H2S I might pick one up again just for fun shoots. It's great that Fujifilm keeps improving their cameras 👍🏻

Im mostly behind the camera and I actually prefer using manual focus more often than autofocus. So for me Xh2s sounds like perfect combo. FX-30 is another camera I looked at but those sony colors... I just cant get over them, I dont like them. Even after grading they still look off to me.

Yes, fuji makes it really hard to love this camera without the hesitation to recommend the camera. It could be so easy...just give us the focus tracking in video. I LOVE the 7 custom possibilities the camera gives you but the AF needs improvements. After my experiences with the XT4....fuji is not really good with firmware updates.

As someone who shoots himself a lot in photos and video… this was the review I needed to hear and kinda sured up my future purchase. My other big consideration is that my team at work, we are outfitting with a fleet of Sony A7 IV’s for my shooters, also because the gear will work with the FS5 we shoot with in the studio so it makes sense to stay within the same system. But I’m thinking, it is probably beneficial that my personal gear mirrors what we are doing at the office so I can help guide when things aren’t quite right and knowing the camera will let me guide the team better too.
Which is a shame, I do love my X-H1. But the more I dig, the more I’m feeling the Sony route is the way for me to go.

    Very interesting thoughts.
I chose the x s10 system as it came out as a family hybrid cam, after i waited for the perfect apsc from sony or canon that never happened.
I totally unterstand missing the dials. Other than that:
Amazing quality for the buck but here and there some AF misses more in photo than in video though. Face tracking produces more problems than it solves often. So assigned a button to on/off switch that.
Really missing the tracking in video, come on fuji. Same as xt-5 now tuning for photo only... cmon...
Somehow fuji is like Linux, theoretically the best but makes you cry sometimes :D

      @georgimume6319 Год назад

      @@biswaranjansahoo1385 hi.
Can only talk about my needs. Battery life is not a problem, batteries are small and cheap, I never needed more than 2 even when filming clips of family holidays throughout the whole day. Worst case was 4k shooting of a play yesterday , I needed 2 for 2hours of constant filming. But I was too lazy to plug in the power cord on tripod.
The autofocus is like on xt-4. It requires more work and fiddling and experience than it should. Meaning: Quick button assignedto quickly activate/ deactivate face detection, quick button for range limit of AF (helps a lot) , using joystick to move the AF area all the time, shooting photos on auto fire ;) so that you have less chance to have a nice pic ruined by an AF miss then it is ok.
It is the weak point in between a lot of strong points of this little cam.
But battery is really not a prob.

Also as it usually is a Long GOP codec it really slows down when reversing a clip. (I'm aware that fuji cameras can often shoot All Intra). Even if you have a very capable PC which I do you feel that things just take a bit longer when scrubbing around on the timeline. Also it does take some processing Power which could have been used for other things like denoiseing footage.

I’m someone who’s shot with cameras from each brand and honestly Fuji stands just fine… AF isn’t as dialed as canon or Sony but it’s still perfectly reliable and functional? I mean hell I’ve shot entire weddings while manually racking focus on a blackmagic lol
And experience is important to some people too, it’s just about figuring out your needs and what you prioritize!

I owned the a7iv and returned it 3 weeks later bought the xh2s best decision I ever made. For me it’s the way the image renders. At 10k iso the noise in slog 3 looks so bad like blocky static noise. You don’t get that on a fuji. I also own an xt4 and it’s absolutely a mechanical marvel that’s a joy to shoot with. This guy just doesn’t know what he wants man. After the Sony he will get a canon or a Nikon…. This guy reminds me of the camera conspiracies guy if he finds a slight flaw he jumps ship to what ever everyone is taking about at the time.

@@adnan_velic So you jumped ship to Fuji because you didn’t know how to use the Sony, you criticize me for giving my thoughts, and you leave no advice for me or give me suggestions. Great contribution 👍🏻 Embarassing bro. So much of youtube is just people feeding off each others negative energy. You’re better than that adnan. We from the same region.

By choosing a camera, YOU CHOOSE A SYSTEM. And unfortunately after Canon's STUPID decision to exclude 3rd party companies, Sony has a clear advantage with hundreds of options.
Also in technology, Sony is way ahead of all other companies. Don't forget, the sensors used by fuji, Nikon etc, are from Sony....

I agree that Sony overall has an advantage with lenses and specs. For production companies, freelancers etc. Sony cameras make the most sense (plus Canon cinema line). But for other use cases there are good reasons for other systems, some subjective.
I also don’t like this decision from Canon but I must also say that they are in a position where they can do that as RF is the best mount out there.

@@pascalbasel FIRST ABOVE ALL, in my opinion it is AF. For this reason, unfortunately, I exclude FUJI and Panasonic.
      What is left?
Canon, the most crippled company on the planet with excellent lenses that to buy them you have to "sell your one kidney".
An example: The new r6ii , it costs together with the lens 24-105L f4 , 4.600 euros!!!
With the same money I buy the Sony fx30, and 3 lenses!!( 10-20f4, 15mmf1.4, & sigma 18-50). And there is money left over, to buy cards too.
WHO WILL WIN IN THE LONG TIME?
With today's data I already know the answer….

The problem with Sony is, they don’t release firmwares for older cameras. They just expect you to upgrade year after year. Gating firmware

Finally honest feedback. Fuji lacks AF and their photos and videos looks flat.. i owned the xt3/xt4. All the red badge lens, primes and 50mmf1. Colours are unique. Best is to stick to Canon. Canon is like apple and sony is like samsung. To each their own.

I think it’s all honest feedback. It really depends on the use cases of the reviewer. But I‘m curious how you find Fuji looks flat? What do you mean exactly?

Thanks for sharing Pascal! Have you tried to use it with the EF adapter to use some Canon lenses maybe?

No, I don’t own any EF lenses. But on the XT4 the Sigma 18-35 does very well with the Fringer adapter a few years ago.
