Brilliant review as ever! Thanks for directing me to this, can’t believe how little recoil and movement it has! That tuning kit clearly does the job!

I'm a disabled shooter, recently used a mates gen3 with the V rest at a shoot.anyway, Santa brought me one a bit before Christmas and now I use it for all shooting.as you said, some of us can't lie down in the mud .btw,if I'm using it I don't take a score card .I also Don't rest the gun on my tripod, I rest my hand,so the gun isn't touching the tripod.

Thats a dam good habit to practise getting into, far safer than loading after cocking , i will be doing that myself from now on thanks for a great video aGAIN Gary .

Regarding barrel weights, being a man who has a decent-sized machine shop just for good measure, I reckon most people should be able to find a machinist who could turn out a nice barrel weight in a matter of minutes, half an hour tops. I mean, it's just a few passes on a lathe and you'll have something that looks like a million bucks once you've blued it, and that can be done easily with a cold-bluing solution available everywhere. Also, having one custom-made gives you the possibility to have one at the _exact_ weight you want.

Great video Gary as usual. I would be interested seeing a video on trigger sticks using springers and PCPs. I have Primos trigger sticks gen 3.

Excellent video. I can't believe the little recoil that you have on your HW98. I fitted a short stroke kit but used my own top hat, spring and guide. It's got s faster lock time and the muzzle flip is a lot less than it was. The recoil is good but not as good as your gun! 😎

Lol, a Brit shooting a Spitfire with a German gun. HW98 is gonna be my next gun, love Weihrauchs and springers, got a HW97K & HW99S, recently got a HW57 but my dad took a liking to it so guess I don't have that anymore, had HW35, HW30 & HW80 a long time ago, not interested in HW90, never see HW85 about so between HW95 & HW98 I think it's worth the extra for the HW98.

If you want to stabilise a tripod in the field you can do it a couple of ways.
    1) a bungee wrapped around the lower truss and then hook it onto a tent peg driven into the ground.
    2) a lot tripods have a hook on the bottom hang a weight off that to steady it.

I have a .20 cal HW98 in order, hoping to have the best Of .177 and .22. Special order only it seems and a a 3 month wait! I’m hoping to get it tuned and sort the squirrels in the back garden and the rabbits in the permission.
A piece on your scopes might be interesting. There seem to be so many options nowadays it’s crazy! My s410 has a Bushnell fixed 10x40, my HW97 has an Optisan.

I just started using a Primos Tripod shooting pod for when sitting on a chair. It's OK as long as the ground is allowing proper height. If not it's not real good, not real good at all. Got it for use from a blind.
